Overall very well built; active EMG are a great solution to overtake the "cheap" body(basswood); FR"special" keep tuning very well, perfect fretboard and action, with no surprises. If you are used to play a Strat-body or a Les Paul you might have some difficulty with balance, given by the peculiar shape, but this is the"issue" of that kind of guitar, cheap or not. The maple neck does not have the same smoothness of a high-end soloist(!), but you get used to it.

I got this exact Kelly the day it was released at GAK in the UK, quality instruments Jacksons are.
I rarely comment on things but I have to say, very nice job. I can't wait to hear the full solo.

TBK indicates only the color (Transparent Black); this one is BK (black) with White Bevels ;)
How does this compare to a King V KVXMG. I want that one, but I had a Kelly KE3 and miss the design. Always wanted a flyin' V though.
