I was reading all about that after I read that in another comment! That’s so funny. I love the Gonz. And yeah dude they need to make some reissues, at least from the “Blind: What If?” period. Thanks for watching, Matt!! 🙏
I'm most interested in the fact that they're resin-pressed and not just wood glue. Should have some sort of theoretical advantage to durability/longevity over just regular wood glue, since it's not water-soluble and in theory should be a more durable adhesive. I'm surprised more brands don't use resin.
Yeah I’m curious why more don’t? That might be an interesting video topic. Maybe I can reach out to some people in the industry and ask them what the big difference is and get a clear answer. Thanks for watching dude!
I've been skating only dwindle boards for like the past 10 or so years and anything resin 7 or impact are solid asf. I'm a bigger guy so I really dig a stiffer board which these are but alot of people don't really want a board that's too stiff but with it being as well constructed as they are they last forever. At least for me they do.
Bought a blind complete for roughly $53 due to a special at Vans. Was going to buy from a skate shop but it was ridiculously cheap 👍 For my first board definitely awesome
Good question! If they come from Blind’s official store via Amazon, I’m sure they’d be legit, but beware of random Amazon sellers. I’ll do a review on these completes soon!🤘
I bought a blind deck a few months back and I just notice besides a little razor tail, the wood started splitting around the tail of the pocket. The board still works fine and I'll probably repair it before it gets worse
The seek discomfort one? There’s an awesome RUclips channel called Yes Theory and they sell them through their clothing company called “Seek Discomfort”! 🙏
Did they start making trucks, hardware, and bearings? I’ve only seen boards and Wheels be Blind-branded. I’ll have to look into it if they make everything on a complete!
@@EricJKuhns I'm not sure if they make everything on a complete, but I know they sell completes and those are usually where brands cut costs if they do. They could cheap out on a just a deck too, but much less common to happen.
Hey there I'm getting my 1st board tmrw Im trying to cram as much info in as possible coukd you please please give me advice on decks, bearings, trucks wheels which brands are good and not My thoughts are independent hollow trucks, bronson g2 bearings or bone redz, spitfire wheels 99a 53mm, and a deck I'm not sure I like the krooked eyes board I'm thinking an 8.0
Ricta wheels are the best.. 8.0 is pretty big board, probably going to be harder to flip. Go 7.75. I like 7.5 but I'm pretty small. 7.5 decks have great flip rotation for me while 8.0 were always harder to flip. My first Deck I got was an 8.0
Good advice down below👇 - personally I ride a Toxic Deck unless I’m doing reviews on other brands. My wheels are Toxic as well. Grip currently is MOB, bearings are Zealous (you can find them on Amazon and I recently did a review on them), and I like a variety of trucks like independent, tensor, thunder, and Ace. Good luck on your board search and thank you for watching! 🙏🤘🛹
Right now I have a 7.75 blind deck with a sick graphic🔥 and I ride it and it’s really good they make good boards in my opinion I also ride 7.75 because they flick easily.
Sorry about that! Haha. I thought I would brand the channel more towards skateboarding and action sports since that's mostly what I put out on the channel. I made a second channel for all my travels and stuff called Serial Explorer! I’m glad you found this one again though!! 🙏🙏🙏
We don't have a local skate shop anymore, so I bought my Blind deck online. I ordered the "Mixmaster" signature deck because I think Jordan Maxham is a pretty cool dude and I been dreaming about getting the mixmaster deck ever since Ronny Creager released that deck back in the days, but the dumb online store sent me the "weed and booze" graphic because it had the most sticks in it, so now I have to stay sober when I skate, because the pigs over here will harass and arrest people if they think it looks like they own something that reminds them of a Dr.Dre CD
They used to be good back in the day, but every since Steve Rocco souled the World, it's all been lesser quality and so about mass production of the lowest common denominator.
It felt pretty sturdy when I skated it, but I’d love to grab a board that was produced back when they started and then compare them again! I will say, after making this video, the board chipped SUPER BAD on the nose, but I was jumping down a 10 haha.
@@EricJKuhns yeah I figured if you skated it hard for a month, it wouldn't likely hold up. I think Death still makes the best decks with purely Canadian rock maple from Canada.
I bought for my girlfriends birthday a reaper, today was the Delivery, but i said do not Open the package 🤣 is mine 😁 i forgot to write: next week is her Birthday. Greatings from Germany 🥳
If blind is good now it's a new concept for them - generic blank with blind graphic. I understand they were popular and the team was rad. (We could probably find Jason Lee at a local park if we look hard enough) Cool time for a lot of people but never had quality products. blind wasn't meant to stand the test of time, it was a scam from day one like all things Rocco. I'm gonna go see what they have available out of curiosity and I have a feeling none of the graphics or shapes I liked are available anymore. Thanks for the video, I forgot blind was still a thing.
Good info! I think my affinity for them back in the day lies mostly on the cool graphics and out of the reason why the company was created in the first place; to juxtapose Gonz’s old sponsor Vision, (mentioned by one of the other commenters). However, I really enjoy skating it. I chipped it pretty bad on an 11 stair this past Sunday so it’ll probably be done for soon, but I can hardly blame that on the board, haha. Give it another chance when you can and thank you for watching! 🙏
They had some iconic edgy graphics back in the day, would love to see some reissues.
They were named as a direct dig at Vision as well.
I was reading all about that after I read that in another comment! That’s so funny. I love the Gonz. And yeah dude they need to make some reissues, at least from the “Blind: What If?” period. Thanks for watching, Matt!! 🙏
It's a shame World Industries kicked the bucket, they had some hilarious graphics back in the day
They just re issued a few with the reaper instead of the kids they are sick ! Iv got them in my wall !
@@mikekaplan8497 whatttttt I gotta keep an eye out for those! I wanna grab at least one before they're gone haha
My first board was a Blind deck. I would kill to get my hands on that deck again. Such an awesome graphic.
Dudeeee maybe one day they’ll do some reissues!? Thanks for watching!
Same here I have the South Park parody complete they ended up getting in legal trouble so there’s not many around anymore.
Great video!! Love that TJ Rogers brought the reaper graphic back.
Hell yeah! It’s so sick. Thanks for watching Gavin! Can’t wait to skate with you again soon!
I'd love a Blind board... but I just can't see myself buying one.
😂😂😂
At first I didn’t understand what you meant, lol nice joke
Honestly I can’t see it either

Blind decks are solid as hell. I’m a big dude 6’3 220 and my deck had held up so good
Damn that’s awesome to hear! It definitely felt solid. Thanks for watching dude!
Do you think they’d be able to uphold me at 6’ and 235lbs?!
Ordered my 1st Blind complete for $85 shipped last month and it has some real nice concave and the wheels are decent quality too.
That’s what’s up!! And that’s a good price for a complete. 🤘🤘🤘

Love the footy, killing it out there!!!
Next up - skating a Blind skateboard while blindfolded. Sick video as always!
Haha let’s do it! Thanks dude!! Can’t wait to shred on Sunday! 🤘🤘🤘
Love blind . Blind was my first deck and the best I’d ever skated. Just got me another . Bout to start skating again.
I've been riding Blind boards since Gonz lost his Vision. Love 'em.
3:43 that was so sick bro !!!
Had one and hated it on the 1st day bc on the concave. But fell completely in love with it after getting use to it. Probably top 3 brands IMO
Wasn’t BLIND supposed to be mocking VISION skateboards of the 80s? Because the gonz was originally on VISION?
It was! Thanks for watching dude! 🤘
I had that same deck.... 8.25.... It was a good 1....gotta love that resin-7 💯
Nice dude!! Yeah it turned out to be a really good board. 🤘🛹❤️
Jason Lee had some killer graphics for them back in the day
Yeah he did!!
Siiick 🤘 I’m actually interested in a Blind now
It held up pretty well! I recently chipped it super bad on a 10 stair but these things happen on stair sets haha.
I kinda want one now. Lol Also, I really digged the tunes in this video 🎶
Thanks dude!! I’m really impressed with these older brands continuing to produce quality boards. You should get one! Haha
Iv ordered a blind dake and i look forward to it arriving .
Been a wile since last skated
So sick. Hopefully it arrives soon! Thanks for watching!
What’s the trick at 3:31?
It was a fakie halfcab flip and then back to fakie (since it was on a bank). Also, thanks for watching!
@@EricJKuhns thanks! That was sick!
Blind was one of my first decks I had the raining blood one lasted a long time

What about the complete sets sold on amazon?

hey dope af video but i gotta know where can i buy your shirt?

If you buy just the deck of course it'll be good, you need to buy a complete to see if they're cutting costs.
