This is right up my alley. Great content. I do get stuck playing the same voicings from 10+ years ago. I’ve been using this approach lately to find new chords. I’ve gotten to the point where they feel good in my hands and can get there without much thought but implementing them in songs and on the spot hasn’t happened yet. Great content
1. Your Chord Vocab is ludicrous🔥 2. Please could u consider a lesson on how to use triad inversions in the right hands to create rhythms over some type of harmony (e.g. root and fifth) in the left hand for particular scale degrees. Thanks
hey bro Corey. I do understand the modes for the most part, and how to use them in a jazz tune over diff chords (eg. the locrian scale over a dom 7th chord). However, I get a little messed trying to understand the more advanced modal chords such as a Phrygian or Locrian chord - and how to recognize them. Lydian I get - it's always a sharp 4 sound (#4), but the others mess me up. Thanks.
I really appreciate how you broke this lesson down ✊🏾
My pleasure!
Wow, just amazing, could you go in depth on how to create chords based on modes please? Thank you, you're a music GIANT!
