Heihachi isn't exactly a normal human being. I don't think regular people can generate electricity from their body on such a level where it can be visible 😂.
@@sean_imagePeak Human definitely, but there is most definitely a supernatural factor to his abilities. up to tekken 7 (where heihachi died). i was CONVINCED that the entire tekken story was just heihachi telling kid jin and kid asuka a story to make kazuya look bad. he's telling this story because heihachi was forced to retire due to old age and kazuya took over the family company. I imagine jun is just taking care of housework, jin and asuka is just sitting around listening to heihachi, kasumi is just there sitting somehow looks young for her age, and kazuya walking in from work just annoyed with the story that heihachi is telling.
@@frozenlicks I mean if it’s confirmed that Heihachi has a good 20+ illegitimate children running around and we only know one of them, it is still a fair assumption to make.
Jin didn't want to kill Azazel just to get rid of devil gene but mainly because if Azazel was reincarnated fully in the future no one would've been able to fully stop him. At least according to info he had
Yeah I thought Jin was gonna kill him because Azazel was going to revive in the future anyways. And without knowing if there'd be a person with the devil gene to kill him Jin couldn't risk not killing him now.
Something has to be said about Heihachi showing affection only to his bear 'child" vs everyone else in his family tree. It might just come off as a joke/gag but it kinda displays his desire for control to other beings. He's only amicable with a pet he can order around or play with. Yes Kuma has a consciousness and intelligence but it's still limited.
Kuma the only wholesome member of the family, plus his T8 bio makes it even more depressing given that he doesn’t know Heihachi is died and he’s doing his best to protect the company until he returns.
The mishimas hair standing up because of their electric powers is a cool theory that but reina doesn’t have spiky hair for some reason so it’s not consistent anymore
Something tells me she manages her hairstyle so it doesn't go out of control, but you can still see some of it spiking to the side on the tip of her hair.
It is worth mentioning that Jin's goal in awakening Azazel was to lure out Kazuya and kill him, then die in the process of killing Azazel so the Devil Gene would be no more. Granted, plan still failed spectacularly with Azazel being the only dead one. Jin thinking two people with the Devil Gene is two too many, is likely the reason he's been avoiding Xiaoyu for years. He doesn't want to take any chances. While it's a case of things being made worse, retroactively, Jun deserves some blame for more than just seeing *something* in Kazuya. She's the one who told Jin to seek out Heihachi if anything ever happened to her, which wouldn't be as bad if Asuka Kazama wasn't introduced in Tekken 5, meaning Jun had living family who probably wouldn't shoot her son in the face.
My theory is Jun named her son Jin after Jinpachi. We know Kazuya and Jinpachi trained as a child and was extremely fond of him calling him Ji-chan (grandpa). Yes he neck stabbed him with his hands in Tekken 5, but on the wiki Jinpachi is listed as one of the few people Kazuya likes. Probably told Jun about him as pillow talk and the rest is history.
While Kazuya ending wasn’t canon; I’m curious if his ending was some form of his psychotic mercy killing for his grandfather… you know typical Kazuya fashion? 🤨
You do have a good point about the Mishima family throwing people off the cliff. But Jin is the only person in the family they never got thrown off. Lucky of him.
While the Mishimas may be the MOST toxic family in fighting games i'd like to give an honorable(?) mention to the Goketsuji family from Power Instinct.
The fact that Reina calls Jin "Senpai" in her trailer makes me wonder whether it's because they both learned under Heihachi, or attended the same educational facility at some point. The age of the various Mishimas and how it works together is always a bit of a headache. At the time of Tekken 7 Heihachi was 75, Kazuya 49, Lee 48, Lars 28, Jin 21, and Kuma the 2nd 10 years old. This implies that Heihachi had Kazuya at the age of 26, then adopted Lee at 27 when Kazuya was 1 years old, then had Lars at 47. Meanwhile Kazuya had Jin at 28, and Jin was old enough to vote when Kuma the 2nd was born. Additionally, since Kazuya was 25 at the time of the first Tekken's release in 1995, where the year the tournament takes place is stated to be 1995 as well. Thus, since Kazuya was thrown off a cliff by Heihachi at 5 years old, the feud between the two started in 1975 and-assuming likely incorrectly that Heihachi truly died during the events of Tekken 7-ended in 2019. Though it's important to note that the games stopped giving timeline details since Tekken 5, and the official ages have been modified retroactively a few times in the past.
Everyone gets really hung up on this, but I never hear anyone mention that she said "Jin Senpai" with a cheery tone, before going back to her default deeper and darker tone. She's most likely just taunting him, imitating Ling. Sarcastically calling him "Senpai". She doesnt strike me as the type to bother with honorifics
Just a little detail, but, there's no reason to assume Heihachi adopted Lee as a newborn. He could've easily adopted him at any point during his childhood which I think would make more sense, since it was to piss off Kazuya
Most people dont actually know that Kuma 1 and 2 are basically Mishima's Ever since the story progressing they inherited some of Heihachi's signature moves. Ff2, Demon paw and even hellsweep I hope Kuma is gonna have electrics in the 8 Edit: Don't wanna brag but, CALLED IT
@otdreamer193-xy1uc yup, there are also 2 Changs(Michelle and Julia), 9 Jack Variants (OG, 2, Gunjack, PJ, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8) and lastly people never knew that they have never used Roger Jr in game (Except during a specific grab animation)
i think it'd be pretty stupid if heihachi came back cause that was such an impactful moment and was HUGE for kazuya's like development (i'm guessing since he finally did what he wanted to do for like 30 years) and namco now also knows that people dont like it when characters do smth thats very big and could change them forever... for nothing (looking at you jin)
Sure but on the other side, its Heihachi, he is just built differant and its a long standing meme that they just kill each other every so often. The Jin screw up was quite bad, but if Heihachi comes back after a long while of Kazuya character dev, instead of nullifying it all it could finally serve as an excuse to prove his growth rather than just his determination. Besides, Heihachi is an *ss so him coming back to get destroyed again would be fun lol

Jin in Tekken 6 is often criticized as being completely different from his usual self, like they dropped the ball on the writing and it's hurt Jins reputation forever as a result
@@xXSonTJXx Jin literally killed more people than Hitler ever did and for an incredibly stupid reason, It's ok to like the character but it seems pretty fair to dislike him as well lmao
Really enjoyed this video Roofle! I find it funny that Jin basically had a reverse villain origin story. Starting out as a plucky protagonist and then the evil thoughts got in his head and became a world destroying tyrant NOW he wants to be the good guy again because he made an Oopsy. Nonetheless, shoutout to Lars, Kuma and Reina for being the MVPs when it comes to the Mishima bloodline. Also, I look forward to the next one of these lore/history lesson videos. Maybe we can see one for Granblue or Under Night.
The new saga of Tekken is probably Jin on the run while the world is on the hunt for him. A few would probably be protecting him (like Xiaoyu). Reina is probably going to be the new head of a new company (a combination of the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corp). Not sure how they are going to handle Kazuya though at the end of T8.
Heihachi: I have a what!? I really should've thought about putting on protection back then. His kids: A little too late for that. Heihachi: You had a part in this too.
This video was a good but there was misinformation in certain parts of the video and a misunderstanding of Jin’s motivation in T6. 1. Kazuya wasn’t raised by Heihachi after being thrown off the cliff originally. He disappeared and trained himself with revenge as motivation only to reappear in the King of Iron Fist Tournament 1. 2. Kazuya was indeed the protagonist in Tekken 1 and the “hero.” It was in Tekken 2 where he became the villain due to the devil gene taking control. This was why Jun fell for Kazuya during and after Tekken 1, before Tekken 2. 3. Jin didn’t just want to fight Azazel to get rid of the devil gene. It was already inevitable that Azazel was going to awaken when “two evil stars” clashed and this was implying devil gene users. This implies Kazuya and Jin. It can be said that their first battle in T4 sparked the dreams Jin was having by Azazel. But a battle to the death by Jin and Kazuya would have awakened Azazel in full power. Azazel was not only the “father” of the devil gene, but also a world destroyer which was remarked by Zafina. If Azazel was unleashed at full power, the world would have ended. Jin’s motive was to cause as much suffering with WW3 as possible kill Azazel while also getting rid of the devil gene completely. Especially since only one with the devil gene could kill Azazel. A weakened Jin after the Kazuya fight would not be able to defeat Azazel. Jin was quite literally trying to save the world from utter destruction from Azazel while also getting rid of the devil gene which was bad for the world. A MASSIVE double edged sword with it facing the blade more. There are plot holes here but all in all. That’s it.
Technically Kazuya is the good guy for the first two games simply because didn't asking for any of this. Its all a reaction to his corrupt father's ambition and poor decision making. Yhe fact that Heihachi jas tormented not only his own fathwr, but son, adopted son and grandson makes him actually worse then all of them especially considering all of the non Mishima's he effected. His company is directly related to wgy Leroy s family was killed Léo's family trouble Nina & Anna's cloned and Steves superhuman abilities. Kazuya is just extremely self destructive and unintentionally turned into a version of his father Jin just became Sasuke with Itachi's mission of ending himself along with his family. Had Jun not died then we'd actually have an even better character in Jin who'd think more clearly and would ne more open with people. Lars is technically the only undamaged person in all of this due to having actualove around.
Also I think people forget that devil has a HUGE influence on a lot of his decisions. Like his Tekken 5 ending for example. He was obviously worried about jinpachi, but devil had taken him over completely and killed him. It’s still one of my favorite endings til this day because of it. Also I think it’s why I loved the fight between him and Heihachi. Kazuya and devil finally have a common hatred for the same person so they are able to coordinate and fight as one extremely well. He’s become one of the most interesting characters of the Mishimas to me.
@@Burneracon Exactly! Folks don't realize the struggle Kazuya and Jim both have to deal with. Kazuya genuinely loved jinpachi for sure and because the devil Gene feeds on his own emotions and can take control when his is at his weakest (with the exception of him working with it in hatred)
Bless you for this comment!! You’re the only person in the comments section with sense. I really dont understand how ppl are hailing Heihachi as the least problematic/lesser of three evils Mishima. Every horrible thing that has happened to main AND side characters were kickstarted by him. Not to mention the T7 story retelling is nothing but Heihachi propaganda. People are forgetting he was literally at war with Kazuya/G-Corp trying to gain public favor and by doing that he set himself up to be interviewed by the narrator telling his side of the story to “expose” Kazuya. Crazy how it was meant to fool in game characters but ppl playing the game fell for it too 🤡
@@cinnabhyun8585 thank you!!! How are we gonna praise a man who usurped his father. He also chained him in a basement to die! Then adopted a foster child just to make him Kazuya's rival, Heihachi is just a deplorable human being who has no interest in none but himself & Kuma.
I see Heihachi returning as DLC/ playable, but dead lore wise due to the fact that both of Heihachi's VAs (voice actors) have passed away. Bandai made a short statement after the 2nd VA passed away in 2018 saying that they weren't going to recast for Heihachi.
Reminder that literally the only family member Heihachi cared about besides his wife before he killed her is his pet bear Also, I know they already said he's her father, but I can't wait for Reina turning out to be either literally Heihachi in another body or Heihachi's ghost just following her around lol
I legit want the story of Tekken 8 to end with Kuma being the victor and becoming the new leader of the Mishima Zaibatsu, with Lars by his side, to undo all the wrongs done by Mishimas.
Jin ain't having weird dreams about killing all of mankind, he had premonitions in the future if Azazel we're to fully awaken... So he had some sacrifices to be made just so he could kill Azazel himself and possibly killing himself along with it.. Because he wants to put a stop of Devil Gene spreading and that's why he had to leave Xiaoyu.
heihachi also tanked and survived akumas raging demon which means hes not actually a "bad guy". if jin or kazuya received that attack, theyd be dead for good 100%.
I consider Jin in T6 turning from neutral good to lawful evil. After causing the death of millions he should've kill Zafina to kill that loose end and finish the initial idea. Maybe then Kazuya will lose his supernatural powers and becomes an easy target for the "good ones". But we all want Jin and Kazuya to clash...
Jin was not a moron for that, he did it to capture Azazel, a thing that could destroy everything forever… it was a hard price to pay but longterm thinking it was the right choice
@@itwasntme6833it’s explicitly stated that like if Azazel awakens in a future with no Devil Gene, all of humanity is bye bye. It’s 10s of millions of people now vs. billions in the future. And obviously knowing Jin’s trauma and hang ups he’s not about to okay letting people with the Devil Gene run around for that Azazel hypothetical. He’s still not a good guy for this but it’s more complicated than “mass murderer lol”

I like to think that chucking family members off high places is just the Mishima workout plan Tekken 8s story better start with Kazuya at the volcano going "any second now, he'll come out stronger, worked for me!" then a few seconds later he goes "I've made a terrible mistake..."
I feel so bad for Jun, all she wants is a normal family but her son/husband/father-in-law just can’t stop throwing each other off of the nearest geological feature.
You got it wrong he never chose to raise kazuya. He trained him beforehand. Not after he through him from a cliff. The point was to see if the devil was passed on. Nowhere does it says he was impressed by him surviving it.
I never really knew about that between Heihachi, his son, and grandson 😅 my two favorite characters of all time being bad guys and I had no idea for this long that they were the villains and not so much Heihachi himself... Man wow 😂🤣🤣👌

But they are unanswered questions like is the Hachjio Clan is active or did Heihachi around the 20 year span before The King of The Iron Fist Tournament 1 went on a massacre and eradicate the whole entire Hachijo Clan or some of ancestors are alive? Also how did Akuma from (the Tekken Verse) and Kazumi met before she hire him to kill Heihachi and Kazuya? And also is there a connection to Soul Calibur and Edge as terms of Devil Gene and if the Hachijo Clan existed during the Soul Calibur Timeline or before then and many other unanswered questions throughout the Tekken series.
I've always wanted to know the "plot" of Tekken but most of the videos I found were like hours long ( i searched like around when Tekken 7 was released) but finally I kinda understand most of it now. This family has the biggest beef I have ever seen
tbf this particular video still doesn’t tell the story as a whole, like for example it doesn’t explain the background story of kasumi and her clan on how and why she had the devil gene, and why her clan sent her to assasinate heihachi as their duty of the clan’s ideology
I live with a nice, big family, so learning about the Mishima family line was shocking as a kid. I wanna point out the few positive relationships I've seen in there. Jin and his mom Jun obviously, Jinpachi and Kazuya loved eachother a lot when he was a kid, but of course with Kazuya fall far down the road to evil, he kills him without hesitation or remorse in his Tekken 5 ending. Kazuya's interactions with Jun seem complicated, because he seems to still see her in positive light. (even after KOing her with his rage art in Tekken 8, he doesn't punt her like the rest of the cast), but despite that, I don't expect him to turn from his evil ways. Going back to Heihachi being an animal lover, considering Kazumi had a pet tiger who helps her fight, it makes me appreciate the detail with tiger on the back of his gi or any of the tiger fur on his other outfits in the past. 🐅
i love how tekken 8 went out not only to be able to redeem jin (super hard to do considering dude became hitler 2 because his dumbass plan of saving the world was destroying it), but it also gave a new light to kazuya world domination stuff. He doesn't want to rule the world for the same reason eggman, dr. wily or other world domination villains. He just want to not be controlled and screwed over again, and being the ruler of the world is the logic a child at the bottom of a cliff found. But at the end of the day, he still love Jun, Jinpachi, Jin surprisingly (i might be reading too much into it, but his exitation over finishing jin many times specially at that last fight, showss he actually doesn't want to, but feels like is the only way to be free) and even shows apretiation for the ones on his side like nina. Dude literraly got the whole villain arc of being abused as a child and what i'm mubleing here might be what jun and t8 jin saw in kazuya, a "maybe if i can show him that he doesn't need to be a power hungry world ruler to be loved and cared for, he stops this nonsense"... Or maybe i have the same bug as Jun and just love the sneakers lover goofball he is at heart.
Many ways to describe the Mishimas. Dysfunctional, toxic, traitors, evil(with exception of Lars), denomic. So many ways to describe the Mishimas. They are anything but a loving family.
Pretty sure Kazuya wasn't raised by Heihachi post cliff tossing. Everything from the games show that Kazuya's training was done when he was still a boy. Heihachi was initially surprised when he found out about Kaz being alive still, then holds the first Iron fist Tournament in response to him being alive. Also itsthrough Hei throwing Kaz off the cliff that even awakens the devil gene.
Nothing points to him going back to heihachi after that. And yes i will concede that lee is a wierd kid to adopt at that point, even in the in game material he is shocked to see kazuya in the first t1 tournament. And while not canon, we have more outside game material that point to kazuya not going back to heihachi as well.@rooflemonger

It was said in a mocking tone, I don't think she really respects him...

The new saga of Tekken is probably Jin on the run while the world is on the hunt for him. A few would probably be protecting him (like Xiaoyu). Imagine the carnage of Thanksgiving with the Mishima family.
Bonus if the Kazama get to attend.
His company is directly related to wgy Leroy s family was killed
Léo's family trouble
Nina & Anna's cloned and Steves superhuman abilities.
Kazuya is just extremely self destructive and unintentionally turned into a version of his father
Jin just became Sasuke with Itachi's mission of ending himself along with his family.

Y'know, it's kinda funny to think that Heihachi treated a pet bear better than he ever did his own son!!!
"One weird trick Devils hate"
Lmao got me with that one.
Heihachi was a tough father, & so was mine, but the difference is that he never throw me off a cliff tho.
🤘🏾😂💯
That you know of 😂
i love how tekken 8 went out not only to be able to redeem jin (super hard to do considering dude became hitler 2 because his dumbass plan of saving the world was destroying it), but it also gave a new light to kazuya world domination stuff.
Keeping up with the Mishimas would be a hit show
Many ways to describe the Mishimas. Dysfunctional, toxic, traitors, evil(with exception of Lars), denomic. So many ways to describe the Mishimas. They are anything but a loving family.
Still gonna miss those goofy Heihachi ending cutscenes throwing Jin and Kazuya in space
Tekken 6 ending 😂😂
That was hilarious.
Lars ending in ''Tekken Tournament 2'' was funny too...
Would not be surprised to see Heihachi just recovering in lava like it is a hot spring somewhere down the line (=
I've never paid attention to Tekken lore. This is wild.
Lars is the best
That is all, and technically Lee Chaolan should be included since he was still a part of their family even though he was adopted lol
Also itsthrough Hei throwing Kaz off the cliff that even awakens the devil gene.
he always was, thats the whole reason Lee was adopted, was to mess with him as he was growing up.
