    Much relief after going through this stuff ruclips.net/user/postUgkx-ip-9JdKgYMhubLnEjt3OXJkFyS4D2Jd Stress no doubt affects my blood sugar levels. Taking a walk usually help bring them down. Eating sweets is not my favorite, but if i take a large portion of them, my blood sugar level rises high. I think it's the high concentration of the glucose flowing into the bloodstream all at once. This is a lesson worth taking note of. This is a great material to learn from.

      It is not accurate to categorize Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes as inherently worse than the other. Both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes are chronic conditions that require lifelong management.
      The impact of diabetes on an individual's life can vary depending on various factors, including how well the condition is managed, overall health, access to healthcare, and individual circumstances. Complications from uncontrolled diabetes can affect both Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes if blood sugar levels are consistently high over time.
      It is essential to approach diabetes management with proper medical guidance, adherence to treatment plans, and proactive lifestyle choices. Regular check-ups, monitoring blood sugar levels, and following recommended therapies can help individuals with either type of diabetes lead healthy lives and reduce the risk of complications.
      Remember, diabetes affects each person differently, and it is important to consult with a healthcare professional for personalized advice and guidance based on your specific situation.

    As ALL foods mentioned in this article have nutritional benefits, they also contain carbohydrates which stimulate insulin production in our body. So these are not “free” foods if you define free as eat as much as you want. Apples are high in fructose or fruit sugar so it is definitely NOT a free food. Note: in her presentation, studies were done with specific amounts of these foods not “free” amounts. Ultimately, the question is, how does the individual blood sugar/insulin levels respond to these foods. There are no “free” foods.

      @@janekay4147 Absolutely. The advice in this video is misleading. I do agree that some of the foods are good for a diabetic to eat, like berries etc, but as diabetes is a disease of chronic sugar consumption, the logical way to prevent, or cure it is to eat less sugar (not just table sugar, but also starches in bread, cereals, pasta, rice etc). It's that simple. When I was a medical student 50 years ago, I was taught that diabetes was a chronic, progressive, incurable disease. I now know that it is not. Luckily I discovered Jason Fung, a Canadian nephrologist who was able to cure his diabetic patients when he started them on a low carb diet, and also intermittent fasting. I agree with you that it's "no wonder people have no idea how to control let alone reverse their diabetes". Both can be done, but not by watching videos like this.

    This advice is kind of silly. None of these foods reduce blood glucose. None are particularly nourishing. They seem to have a fiber fettish.
    Really, glucose rich foods, you know, "carbs" must be avoided as much as your addiction to them can be curbed. Your liver makes all the glucose you need. You literally do not need to eat or drink any. In fact since 2018 the ADA guidlines state that a low carb diet is a treatment option for T2D as part of a patient centered approach.

    • @DiabeticsTalk
      @DiabeticsTalk  Год назад +1

      Bitter melon is a fruit that has been used traditionally in various cultures for its potential health benefits, including its ability to lower blood sugar levels. Studies have shown that bitter melon contains compounds that can help improve insulin sensitivity and lower blood glucose levels. However, it is important to note that the evidence is limited, and more research is needed to determine the effectiveness of bitter melon as a treatment for diabetes. Additionally, bitter melon may interact with certain medications, so it is important to speak with a healthcare professional before using it as a treatment for diabetes.

    Carbohydrates are not required by the human body. Your body will make what it needs from foods that have no carbs the uptick in carb consumption started back in the 1970’s with the so called war on hunger which has been proven to be the cause of obesity and diabetes alike. The aha and other organizations have acknowledged this but the government has not changed the recommendations for what people should eat because the food industries pay them not to tell the people that processed food is making them and the pharmaceutical companies rich

    Is wheat chapati (roti) good for diabetes?

    • @DiabeticsTalk
      @DiabeticsTalk  Год назад

      Whole wheat chapati (roti) can be a better choice for individuals with diabetes compared to refined wheat flour. Whole wheat contains more fiber, which can help slow down the digestion and absorption of carbohydrates, resulting in a slower and more controlled release of glucose into the bloodstream. This can help prevent rapid spikes in blood sugar levels.
      Including whole wheat chapati as part of a balanced meal that includes vegetables, lean protein, and healthy fats can contribute to a more stable blood sugar response. However, portion control is still important. It's advisable to monitor your blood sugar levels after consuming whole wheat chapati to see how your body responds.
      Additionally, everyone's response to foods can vary, so it's important to consider your own individual tolerance and consult with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian who can provide personalized guidance based on your specific needs and health goals.

    One might think there would be a great deal of overlap with low carb foods, keto foods, and "best" diabetic foods. Nuts are not unlimited in low carb and keto diets and can be quite high in calories making them something any dieter definitely wants to limit. So, not nuts, but some kinds of nuts, and in carb-counted amounts that are within your limit. And then the apples, which can be so sweet. That should set off the internal alarms inside every diabetic brain. So apples are not only NOT unlimited, they're most often a no. Berries, some kinds, are low carb and keto friendly, but never in unlimited amounts. Sugar never reduces blood sugar spikes.

      The great benefit of Avocado is IT SATIATES YOU, makes you feel full and it's got lots of Omege 3's. I use it in a shake as a substitute meal or breakfast.
      First thing I'll make a shake, KALE (I prefer Lacinato) , Bluberries, Kefir (not flavoured), an Avacado I also add Pellegrino water (high in Sulphur) to get the right consistency and sometimes flavoured protein powder if I need a taste change. You can also add a Boiled Egg or try the Keto Boiled Egg pudding, satisfying and really tasty. FATS make you feel FULL for LONGER than Carbs and of course Carbs = Sugar !

    Nope every body is different! The problem with You Tube channels is they #1 generalize, #2 are posting with an agenda to sell products #3 don’t have a medical background and #4 even Drs are misguiding People because they have their own bent idea of what is ideal. I can’t eat a lot of foods most diabetics can because it raises my glucose!
    4) Many people aren’t willing to do what it takes to keep glucose levels at normal like a exercise enough and this varies from person to person.

It's important to approach any health-related information with a critical eye and to always consult with a qualified healthcare provider before making any changes to your treatment plan or lifestyle.
      Diabetes management can be a complex and individualized process, and what works for one person may not work for another. All foods are energy foods. It is not helpful to present carbs as unique for energy. Most people in the west and most diabetics get plenty of energy in their diet and don’t need to be confused about regularly getting a good portion of carbs. Less carbs the better for type 2 diabetics

    Some of this advice is decent, but seriously apples? They are NOT any good for diabetics, and not all nuts should be eaten freely. Cashews should not be eaten at all. Some of this advice is bad and potentially dangerous.

    • @DiabeticsTalk
      @DiabeticsTalk  Год назад

      It's true that managing diabetes can be complex, and there are many different opinions on what foods are best to eat. While apples do contain natural sugars, they are also a good source of fiber and other nutrients that can be beneficial for people with diabetes when consumed in moderation as part of a healthy diet. Nuts are also generally considered to be a healthy snack option for people with diabetes as they are low in carbohydrates and high in protein and healthy fats. However, portion control is important as nuts are also high in calories.
      That being said, it's always important to consult with a healthcare professional before making any changes to your diet or exercise routine. Every individual's diabetes management plan should be tailored to their unique needs and health status.
      It's also important to remember that everyone's body responds differently to different foods, and what works for one person may not work for another. Ultimately, the key to managing diabetes is to find a balance that works for you and to make informed decisions based on reliable information and advice from healthcare professionals.

      @DiabeticsTalk  Год назад

      Hi @normasarsby1350! Thanks for pointing this out! Eating nuts in moderation is generally considered safe for most people, including those with kidney disease. However, it is important to be aware that some types of nuts are relatively high in phosphorus, which can be harmful to people with kidney disease.
      If one has kidney disease, it may be best to limit intake of these types of nuts or avoid them altogether. Additionally, it's always a good idea to talk with your doctor or a registered dietitian to determine the best diet for you.

      While it is true that apples contain sugar, they also contain fiber and other nutrients that can have a positive impact on blood sugar levels when consumed in moderation. According to the American Diabetes Association, people with diabetes can still enjoy fruit as part of a healthy diet, including apples, as long as they monitor their portion sizes and overall carbohydrate intake. It is important to work with a healthcare professional to determine an individualized meal plan that meets your specific needs and goals.

    This video is full of factual errors that harm people with metabolic syndrome. The body can survive and thrive indefinitely without any carbohydrates. Carbs are not your friend, they are the root cause of insulin resistance.

    • @DiabeticsTalk
      @DiabeticsTalk  Год назад

      We're sorry to hear that you disagree with the information presented in our video. It's important to note that carbohydrates are a necessary macronutrient for the body and provide energy for various bodily functions.
      However, it's also important to balance carbohydrate intake with other macronutrients and to choose nutrient-dense sources of carbohydrates such as whole grains, fruits, and vegetables.
      The development of insulin resistance and metabolic syndrome is multifactorial and can be influenced by a variety of factors beyond carbohydrate intake, including genetics, physical inactivity, and other dietary factors.
      It's best to work with a healthcare professional to develop a personalized plan for managing metabolic syndrome that takes into account your individual needs and goals.

    Yeah when it comes to apples and diabetes no you should not be eating these apples that are like the Honeycrisp in the all the ones that have been genetically modified to be sweeter

    • @DiabeticsTalk
      @DiabeticsTalk  Год назад

      It's true that some apple varieties are sweeter than others, and therefore contain more natural sugars. However, apples can still be a healthy choice for people with diabetes, as they are low in calories and high in fiber, which can help regulate blood sugar levels. When it comes to choosing apples, it's important to consider portion size and pairing them with a source of protein or healthy fat to help slow down the absorption of sugars in the bloodstream. It's also a good idea to consult with a registered dietitian or healthcare provider to determine the best dietary plan for managing diabetes.
