I think Jaguar started to decline when they introduced the rotary dial and austere interiors, followed by equally austere exteriors, almost as if trying to outdo the Germans. In fact, they did outdo the Germans in terms of austerity-shades of grey. But in the end, they face the same challenges as every brand today: electric vehicles and/or the reluctance of people to buy cars at all.
Definitely agree. It's going to be a tough time for most of the big names over the next 10 years with the electric transition. I just hope e-fuels come in to the mainstream asap. I need internal combustion.
Perhaps.. They have really struggled to react to the backlash. Their social media team has only posted 3 times on instagram since the 19th of November video.
@@autoseven7ltd There's a rumour that the CEO has threatened the employees if they speak negatively about the rebrand, in any capacity. _Imagine that... A lefty ideologue who's also an authoritarian? Who knew..._ It took 3 years and 800 people to make an ad that destroyed a brand.
I understand Jaguar wanting to go for a younger different audience but to say the older demographic are not important to their vision is just wrong. You just don't alienate your traditional customer
@@beachlife2968 at least in Europe the younger demographic relies on their parents patrimony and/or company subsidies. Neither is a good long term strategy
I think Land Rover did this bit better. They were fortunate in that they were already producing the products that people now want (SUV's), but they did really well to maintain loyal customers and attract new ones. Jaguar have struggled.
Are we giving jaguar too much of a hard time? NO why they released that utter chite advert is beyond me I've owned 2 Jaguars both XJ6 years ago when the brand meant something. Now stepping over the same line Budweiser tried look how that turned out. For me JLR have dived headfirst into the chit bucket of woke bollocks never will be buying anything to do with the brand not even second-hand market they can all rot.
What are your views on the rebrand?...
‘The product is the message! Yet the product is absent! Good lick with this! Jaguar has been lacking major products for a few decades!
Yep.. The F-Type is the closest they came to a class leader but Porsche were too strong.

I'd listen, but I can't. Refilm with passable audio. Or overdub.
Shot on iPhone!.. early days.. i'll get a mic soon :-)
plus a V8 infront of me :-)
Fingers crossed for Jaguar!
🤞
Not giving them a hard enough time IMO

@@autoseven7ltd maybe they should try doubling down on calling their prospective customers bigots?
That would help!..

FireTruck NOT INCLUSIVE
What do you mean? I'm a bit slow.
All of the ribald flak comes from people who couldn't afford a Jag anyway and their opinions belong in those barren fields where Jaguar grows its Fs.
Don't care. They can keep their gay propaganda.
Jaguar the car brand is dead.
I haven't spoken to one person who likes it...

If you’re rooting for the new jaguar, show conviction and slap on some lipstick.
😂😂😂
Is not a rebrand, is a gay drama, a gay attention seeking circus. There is nothing there.
Certainly is a drama! Interested to see what they come up with on the 2nd Dec...
@@autoseven7ltd A bad joke, that is what they will. If they were bright people, they would have done things with taste.
