Y'know, most games tend to send you into the volcano or lava levels sometime late in the game, if not the final levels. Monkey Ball 2 does it for world 2. Come to think of it, so does DKC2 So basically, sequels to monkey games have a habit of making world 2 the volcano level, I dunno.
Theyre on their homeland already. Sadly it's usually the next step because Volcano reminds me of Master mode in GBA And the sad thing is, You only see the volcano world in Advance Mode :( This meoldy would sound great on a heavy metal sound

This will always remind me of when I was riding to the airport with my family and relatives for a vacation to Punta Cana in 2017- this was one of the tracks I listened to on the way there.
A21 - Banks: Similar to Curves, but with wider paths. A22 - Eaten Floor: I wonder what actually did the eating here... A23 - Hoppers: On fast forward, those things could be quite hard on the eyes... A24 - Coaster: Yay! So fun! Gotta go fast! A25 - Swell: On this world, this level was certainly appropriately named...
These set of 9 stages in challenge mode are HORRYFINGLY hard: E31: Pistons - Welcome to heart attack in a stage, good god. E32: Soft Cream - Eh. This one's pretty simple. E33: Momentum - Lord, have mercy this stage SUCKS ASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS- *10 minutes later* OKAY. FINALLY, DONE. WITH. THIS. STAGE. E34: Entangled Path - Welcome to the waiting game. Wait 30 seconds to inevitably die because you thought you could take your time on the path. E35: Totters - Finally, a breath of fresh air! This one's easy. E36: Vortex - I swear I'm the only one who finds this stage annoyingly hard. E37: Warp - Warp. Just... Warp. You THINK this stage is easy, but welcome to where Super Monkey Ball 2 shows its TRUE skin. This stage is FREAKING BRUTAL. The first slanted path is okay, it's not bad. The second one is manageable, and this ALREADY makes the stage hard. The last one though is FRICKING MISERABLE. You have to go at a perfect time where you won't hit the bumpers, but THEN you'll start veering to the edge and then just die a miserable death. There are many times where I get across the actual slant but I don't make it into the goal, I just hit the pole and fall out because the stage itself is just a living nightmare! Good god, this took me a WELL 30 - 40 attempts on my first playthrough and I STILL struggle with this stage. E38: Trampolines - This is a pretty easy stage, just be careful with this one. E39: Swing Shaft - It's not that the swing is hard, it's just getting to the end that is annoying sometimes. This makes World 8 in story mode annoying, and saying it's hard is an understatement. edit: i replayed story mode again, and did warp first try. i feel powerful.
I didn't know that Expert 31-39 in 2 used this theme in Challenge Mode until I saw the TAS. _2 is my least played game of the classic trilogy, okay? I play Deluxe much more, and it doesn't appear there at all, I just assumed that it was never used in challenge mode there!_
The volcano world's IS in challenge mode in Deluxe. Advanced levels 21-25. Also, why the hell does the volcano world only have 5 levels in Advanced and none in Expert (which has 100 levels)?
Ah yes. The world with one of my most favourite stages. Gravity Slider. I aim to always reach 200mph just so I can reach the red goal at the end. Shame my aim is always off.

It's not so intimidating during the story mode but it really feels like a challenge coming to this world during expert challenge mode
