A number of years ago as I was driving east on an interstate highway in Colorado there was a large thunderhead cloud bank some 50+ miles ahead and the was lighting the clouds up. I had the Berlin Symphony's recording of this on my CD player. As the music would reach the part (14.11) the clouds would light up from the lightening and it seemed as if the storm was following the music. I was awe struck then, and 20 years later still see it in my mind. Will carry that memory for rest of my life.
One thing I have to say is Liszt composed a lot of awesome music. Including this piece of music. What a magnificent performance. Outstanding playing and conducting, Thank you so much for uploading this.
Someday perhaps the viewer can choose the camera to watch. The expressions on the conductor's face are worth watching. Yuja Wang also has great facial expressions while she plays. Not to diminish the other musician's performances.
As usual, I am not overly fond of Noseda's conducting; have never warmed up to his complete recording of Liszt's tone poems. But what a pleasure to see one of them played by a large orchestra with modern instruments, not some tiny, screechy, unlistenable HIPster abomination.
Just a comment about sound quality, all the sounds are recorded well so check you device settings. Also check your location in relation to your device. I'm listening to this on a cheap Samsung phone and it sounds great. It sounds even better if I put the phone on a hard surface.

Agree. I was 13 on the Album "Music for the Millions 3". I'm 63 now. Made me start playing the Oboe.
