Thank you so much for being here! I talked in today's video about being sick & I ended up going downhill pretty quickly after. I ended up getting diagnosed with pneumonia and it has been awful! Today is the first day in a week that I am feeling somewhat normal, so I will take that as a win!! I hope you enjoy today's video & I want to wish you all an early Merry Christmas!!!!
People are really hilarious like yeah,I am really going to stage my mess underneath the couch as if I have nothing better to do😂..sometimes I have no words for people‘s mind and ideas….
When my boys were little they each had their own mini Christmas tree in their rooms. I would purchase them little fun gifts and put them and a little mini stocking filled with a few treats so when they woke up Christmas morning they had something special to wake up too. Now my children do that for their children and they love it too
I'm telling you right now how much easier and nicer it would be for you to throw out most of those little toys. They really do not need all that, especially the small pieces. They'd probably be playing longer with whatever is kept, rather than having aaall that to chose from! This can just never work without consistent, daily excessive decluttering. Other than that - such a nice watch, super satisfying. Hope you feel well soon x
I rotated my son's toys when he had too many. I boxed up what I thought he wasn't playing with and stored it in extra bedroom closet. Every few months I rotated "new" ones in and took "old" one out.
That's your opinion. You have no idea what other children enjoy playing with. I work with children and know lots of them..... my own included who LOVE playing with small toys etc like these. A home is meant to be lived in and show life, love and fun. Not to "look nice" it's not a show house.
I can tell you as a mom of 3 Boys you probably wanna just invest in all Wicker Bins because it seemed like my sons trashed everything except for the Wicker 1s. I tried those cute colorful Canvas bins and they always sag and those plastic 1s will be cracked in probably 2 weeks lol I really feel like the boys were kicking those bad boys like soccer balls lol
Some of our best Traditions we do each year are: #1 We go shopping for a few Bicycles & baby dolls to take to local donation site for children in need. #2 We send out handwritten Christmas cards. #3 We make our postman a special gift of homemade cookies #4 I prepare a "make ahead" French toast casserole the night before to bake on Christmas morning. #5 We pile in the car & drive around the area to look at lights #6 At Christmas we have a special cake we buy every year from our bakery for Christmas day. #7 Every year we go see a Christmas play at either the local High school or College. #8 We read the Christmas story from the Bible on Christmas eve. #9 Saturday following Thanksgiving we make a pass through the house & gather things still in like new condition to take for those living in the shelter. #10 New Years eve we stay home & invite neighbors/ family over for an evening of playing games & ringing in the New Year together. #11 We make homemade "potato candy". Sounds weird but google it it's amazing. I'm 60 & my family has done it since before I was born. (powdered sugar, potato & PeanutButter) Depression era candy that is so special. Please google it! This is quite the list, but I have to say these are the things that make the holidays memorable for us. I realize as I read this list over that my heart feels joyful & full when I do these things each year. ♥🎄
Aleah, so sorry you’re feeling unwell. What a monumental job you did on that playroom! Excellent decision to switch to clear bins. Your doggie is ginormous ❣️❣️🤣🤣
As a mum, i understand how bad it gets in a house. You did it so well, dear. We just need a multivation on doings this, because it's not easy. Great video, Aleah Martins
I absolutely love how the play room turned out. ❤ I hope you feel better soon. I truly hope that you and your family all have a very Merry Christmas and a happy, safe, and prosperous New Year. 🎅🎄⛄️🎉 I look forward to watching your next video in the New Year. ❤❤❤❤❤
Playroom looks great! Good job on the decluttering. I like the plastic bins - so much sturdier and you can see what is in them. Hope you feel better soon!!
My husband makes a special biscuits and gravy on Christmas morning and we have the whole family come over to enjoy it with us. And also, when I wrap my kids Christmas gifts I use one type of wrapping paper for each child. No names. And at the bottom of their stockings is a small piece of the paper so they know which gifts are theirs.
@ amongst everyone I know with small kids have it. The kids mainly adults are getting pretty sick too. My hospital has pretty much shit down the er because they’ve run out of beds and are treating people in hallways. It’s a 2 day wait to see a doctor
Cleaning the toy room is sometimes such a hassle. I’ve been avoiding ours for a while now 😅 I should get it together over the holidays! Maybe I’ll post a video about it. That would be good motivation 😂 Great clean! I love how your dog followed you back and forth when you were taking out the donations and trash! 🤗
Oh No!!! Please get well soon Aleah! I absolutely love your leggings so much that matches your sweatshirt! Have a wonderful & blessed weekend! Get well soon! 💛💛💛💛💛
Wow Aleah, This was amazing. I've watched you declutter this room many times this year. You truly got rid of so much in a year. The room looks amazing. Ready for more, but at least you have the room for new toys. Merry Christmas to you and your family! 🙏🎄🎅🤶🥰
Everything looks wonderful!!! I'm praying that you will be feeling better soon. I hope that you will have the merriest Christmas!! As always, thank you for sharing your life with us ❤️
Merry Christmas to you too. Thanks for your videos, I like to watch them because I enjoy the before and after transformations. They have inspired me to get rid of my clutter also.👍🏻
We always drink hot chocolate and drive around looking at Christmas lights! Usually Christmas morning we have French toast, eggs, sausage and bacon & watch the Disney parade !!
I hope you start feeling better soon. It is hard being sick when you have young kids especially during the holidays. I hope you and your family have a blessed and merry Christmas!
Just found your channel, and your decluttering work is great! Just a thought on the Dino bookshelf ... would it fit in between the two tall white bookshelves? You could put it on top of the cubbies where you ended up putting the books, securing the dino to the wall. It's just a hopefully helpful hint as I understand not wanting to part with it! 😊
Hope you feel better soon! As for traditions i make a tomato basil frittata every Christmas morning with bacon. Its a huge hit! Awesome video. Happy holidays to you and your family
Oh Aleah, I’m sorry you’ve been sick! You’re right…never a good time but the holidays ..no!! You know I always love your couch pull outs😂 I’m in upstate NY and although we haven’t had a lot of snow yet..the temps have been brutal🥶 Merry Christmas! 🎄
I’m so sorry that you got so sick! But I’m glad you’re starting to feel better! Merry Christmas to you and your family!! The playroom looks great! ❤🎄❤️
Walking pneumonia is going around in the States (at least on the east coast) alot. Please get checked ASAP if you are still not feeling well. Definitely a crime to be sick around the holidays!
We learnt as kids that cleaning 2 days n treating on day 3 was a holiday tradition. It gave me and my siblings a responsible streak and weve all taught our kids and grandkids the same way. Our fav treat was playing water fights .... Rain or shine useing sqeezy bottles not nerf gun affairs... It made everyone more equal. We also got taught and passed on the learning to save half spend half for pocket money.... . I know its not what you're looking for but it made us responsible while still allowing the choldhood
I love how the play room turned out! I hope that you feel better soon 🙏♥️ I hope that you and your family have a wonderful Christmas and New Year 💚🎄🎅♥️ I hope that you and your family have a wonderful weekend ☺️❤️
Truly not being unkind to you. I have three adult children and I don't understand why today's parents think their children need so many toys. (Clothes too!) Sometime and don't remember when, but I stopped buying things with alot of pieces. I don't remember buying much between birthdays and Christmas, maybe just the times and smaller budget. Enjoy your videos.
Honestly, it is SO hard to find toys that don’t come in a million small pieces anymore. Toy companies and advertisers really push buying for quantity. I work really hard to avoid it with my four kids, but sometimes it’s impossible to find a toy with fewer than ten parts. 😅
I think the same thing lol i buy toys on birthdays and christmas and avoid them like the plague 😭😅 i dont mind toys but the clothes i put a limit on because im the one doing the laundry currently since he’s 3 😂😅
How sad that some children aren't allowed to play with or own certain toys just because they have "too many pieces" Children aren't even allowed to play now and use their imagination, all because mummy thinks they're unnecessary and messy.
I just did a big declutter on my playroom for my youngest. She had a ridiculous amount of toys. Most of them were hand me downs from her older siblings, then birthday and Christmas. We got rid of like 6 bins worth of toys. It can accumulate so quickly.
Some of our family traditions which i have carried on to my kids, is a new comfy outfit or pj's, a new ornament, and a new Christmas book on Christmas eve, then their gifts and stocking Christmas morning. New Year's Eve, we do finger foods and stay up playing games and/or watching movies.
Playroom looks awesome!! Hope you are feeling better Christmas isn’t the same this year. We lost our dad in May. It’s really hard Take care!! Merry Christmas 🎄
I just now found your channel and I am so glad I did. I have a big goal to clean and declutter and organize my home before spring I have been having trouble on where to start so I think I decided to start on my room and closet. I have so much I can donate and just get rid of. I think I will take it room by room. My spare room is in a massive need to declutter but I don't know where to start on in that room and I'm kinda dreading it to be honest because it is so much. And I can barely walk in the room (embarrassing to say the least.) But I know there is a bunch I could just donate in there as well. My dad's bed (who passed in 2011) is taking up the most space because it's set up and I am thinking of moving it and using it in mine and my fiance's room once I get my room finished.
Definitely work your way up to that spare bedroom! Starting with your closet is a good start. Or pick a cabinet or drawer in a kitchen - something small to give you some momentum. When you do get to that spare room, try removing a box worth of stuff at a time and sorting it in a different room. Trying to declutter everything while being in the room will likely overwhelm you. Good luck with your goal! 😊
I hope that you take your time to recover from pneumonia and also that you take a break over Christmas. You shoukd take most of the school holidays off to soend with your family x x happy Christmas to you
Aleah, this was a great video. The playroom looks wonderful. The clear bins look nice on the shelves. Kids definitely collect toys. My daughter is 11 and getting out of the toy stage. There were times that I would have 2-3 bags of toys for donation. I hope you are feeling better. Have a Merry Christmas ❤
Christmas Eve we always have Mexican food and open most of the parents (only the "big" gift and stockings are left for Christmas Day). Christmas day we wear pajamas all day and watch movies. ❤
I want to wish you and your family a merry Christmas.❤🎄 our traditions are giving gifts on the 24th with family and friends, we sing, danse play games and the 25th we all go skying and have another xmas dinner. I hope you have an amazing time and that you enjoy every moment.
Week before Christmas my mom will get all of the cousins to come over to make cookies. That is on my mom’s side of the family. I love doing that every year?

"I have 3 professional mess makers," OMG, you made me laugh so much when you said that. Thank you. I needed that😂❤❤❤❤ I love your videos.❤❤❤❤❤
People are really hilarious like yeah,I am really going to stage my mess underneath the couch as if I have nothing better to do😂..sometimes I have no words for people‘s mind and ideas….
*This video is so inspiring! Tackling the playroom is such a big task, but you did an amazing job. Congratulations on this wonderful transformation!*

I have 3 toddlers my couch looks like that on a weekly basis 🤣 I tell myself it’s fine at least my kids feel safe to play in the living room with us
Looks so much better what a difference take care of yourself and rest the best you can merry Xmas to you and your family ❤
Feel better ! I agree it should be illegal for moms to get sick especially at holiday time. 😂❤. I always enjoy your videos. Merry Christmas. 🎄
Christmas Eve we always have Mexican food and open most of the parents (only the "big" gift and stockings are left for Christmas Day). Christmas day we wear pajamas all day and watch movies. ❤

Wow hope you are feeling better. As a mom and 20 yr prek teacher I think , maybe have limitations of what's out to play with. There are so many small things there. Leave out a couple that I rest them all, and one they each love pack the rest away and rotate things in and out.
a you did a great job here! I think tiny parts to toys should be banned! Wishing you a speedy recovery.
Wow snow here in Sydney Australia we are boiling hot 🥵
Hello my friend I am New here I love watching you and your family video's you guys are amazing
