Yes, there is a growing sense of returning to decency and that isn't inheirently Christian and/or right wing . . . . . I unerstand whole-heartedly when Oliver says he's pretty much dead-center politically and wishes we'd just get back to common sense! Common sense, be kind, be decent, grow up, and wake up before this country dies completely. What I love is that this song truly is uniting people.
Yeah, there are two camps of people when it comes to politics - Those who want to be left alone, and those who won't leave you the hell alone. I'd argue the vast, vast majority are in the first camp - that's why this song is resonating so much. Appreciate the comment

It's natural Appalachian folk bluegrass, but my two fave descriptions I've seen so far are:
Mountain Soul and Folk AF.
The first time I watched it a few days ago I was instantly riveted by his unique guitar, couldn't take my Eye off of it. Loved to find out it's a resonator guitar, how perfect. Have also seen resophonic guitar but I don't know if they're the same thing. And I love that this Appalachian anthem has showcased a powerfully divine moral of the story message, world wide: Go Folk, Not Woke!

I have watched prob over a hundred reaction videos. People are captivated by his song. They are breaking down in such extreme emotion. People that don't cru usually. They don't know why. He releases a new song last night. And he had 500,000 in just a couple hours. He is leading the world back to god or back to the light. It reminds me I'd Stephen kings movie the stand. My grandpa is a Vietnam war vet. My dad was in the airforce. My brother was in the airforce. My brother in law was in the army. My father in law was in the navy. This song is the first song I have ever came across.. that made these hardened Christian openly cry. We understand the frustration and the pain of everything Oliver sang about. The whole world is listening. It doesn't just resonate with Americans. The only constructive criticism I would give is to not see all of the ones wearing mask as being brainwashed. I have 4 boys 2 have special needs. I am a nurse that privately cares for a child with cancer. My family wear masks in public to help to not bring anything to our endangered children and the little one I care for that does not have an immune system. Do I feel everyone should wear one.. absolutely not. Everyone should be allowed to choose and not be crucified for their choice. Believe it or not I have been harassed immensely for my choice. Please don't assume that all that wear masks are the enemy. ❤ I will do whatever I can possible to protect the sweet innocent babies I care for. I quit working in our hospital due to not agreeing and watching the things happening. ❤ sorry for the semi rant. I just wish people would understand that there are reasons people should take into consideration.

Dude is poor as crap and lives in a camper in the woods according to people who know him and he turned them down. Makes me like this guy and song even more

If they don’t like it they toss him but have all the rights to his music so they can continue to make money off downloads and so forth and Oliver gets nothing. It’s called a failing contact in the music business and they get people all the time with them. Usually clauses in these contracts they say they can release you and you get nothing more. But they flash the money out there to these people that have never had any and think they’ll all just say okay.
I have never heard of anyone having 4 top hits in top ten. Unbelievable. Amazing. Go Oliver!!

Christopher, his real name, is a hard working christian singer from my neck of the woods. he hails from Farmville, Virginia, and had performed in some local venues , but the world needs to hear this message. All races, all walks of life find meaning in his words, and it is damn time we quite pointint fingers and blaming our fellow citizens, and focus on our common enemy - Rich men north of Richmond. BTW if you get to hear him live, he does a lot of Bible reading embedded in his performance. Thank you Jesus for the talents you saw fit to give this man. You guys need to look at his video where he explains who he was and who he is now. Three months ago he got down on his knees and begged God to help him stop drinking. One month ago he was completely healed. This song came out two weeks ago and he is know around the world . When he does live performances, he opens with reading of scripture.

I don't think it's a coincidence that he came out with this song right after giving his life over to Christ. The Lord works in mysterious ways. When this song first hit, I loved it. One commentator had said its about "miner's" and not "minors", however, I immediately did a search and low and behold it was "minor's" and not "miner".....until a couple days later and they were all changed to "miner", all of them so I went to him and listened to him. He did not talk about "miner's" and mentioned how bad it is for children in his own country and the rest of the song talks about working, So I am apt to believe that that part was solely about "minor's" and the elite don't like it so they forced the change. Truth hurts!

Gentlemen if you look at the reference to minors, it's spelled differently in the 2 verses. In the first part it says miners, the second says minors.
