My second grade teacher told my mom that I was not smart in math no matter how much she worked with me. Said it as I sat there like I was deaf. Yes I had a hard time with math but I was an eager learner. But because her words always rang in my ear I was not able to get it as well. Now years later I can add and subtract do percents and fractions. I wish I could have let that go then but am so glad I was able to eventually and could flow in the basics. Now algebra that’s another story. Love these pockets. Now I can use up some of my 6x6 pads. Thanks for passing on the ideas you see from others. You are the best!🌺❤️🦋
Good Morning Gayle, I am just a couple of years your senior and have the same sleep problems. I have learned not to stress out from them. Eventually the body will catch up and your sleep pattern will even out. Yes, I have days I kind of stumble thru the days but I don't let it bother me. I am not the young, super active, busy person I used to be. If I may suggest - make sure you are getting some physical exercise everyday. I walk 30 minutes in the morning and about 15 at night with my dog. Be habitual about your bedtime routine. It can prepare the mind for sleep. I also take melatonin before bed. It helps me fall back to sleep when I wake up during the night, but check with your doctor first. Lastly, I have earphones that I wear plugged into my tablet. Besides cutting the snoring noise down from my husband (hee hee) I listen to my favorite you tubers. It does help me fall back to sleep. Yes you and Rachel are one of my favorite listening channels at night. And no you do not bore me to sleep! Both your voices are very soothing and relaxing. I think most seniors have sleep problems so again don't fret over it. You will catch up and be fine.

It's amazing how a simple piece of paper becomes a great addition to a journal!! Also a great way to use up 6x6 paper pads or the 12 x 12 papers that we don't like so much....you can decorate/embellish to make them look pretty!! TFS Gayle!! Hugs, Liz:)

I love these, I made a few last night after watching Tina make them. She didn't do them with the pads though. They also look good wrapped around the page and no pads. the piece wrapped around makes for a good tuck spot. They can be used in many ways, I think Sue hit the jackpot with these, they are fun to make....... I am with you with no sleep Gayle, its been months now I can have one good night, then I am not falling to sleep until 4am . The other morning it was 6.30am before I could close my eyes. I was awake all night. These cute embellishments remind me of those split doors, I think they call them Dutch Doors, in country homes. I remember Doris Day had one in the house in her TV show back in the day! Why that came to mind, who knows...!
When I was a kid I always wanted Dutch doors I thought that would’ve been so cool. And then you could talk to Mr. Ed through it also. Now try to get the song out of your head.😂

I love the little pockets! Thanks for sharing them. I’ve had the same issue with my sewing machine in the past. On my machine if you hold your top and bottom thread ends as you start sewing it helps it run smoothly without the beginning clump. Perhaps it will work on your machine as well? Hope it helps 😊
Same sleep problems. I slept good last night but the night before I was awake most of the night, laying there, stressing over the lack of sleep I was getting... lol
As for your machine acting up, I would remove the thread and the bobbin. Clean out your bobbin casing, clean or change the needle. Rethread the machine. This is what I would try before thanking it to the repair shop. Hope it works. ❤️❤️❤️
Under the paper pad you can just use coffee-dyed to college x one more page to write on. Also, the easiest way to use up 6x6 would be 2 cuts - corner to corner - making 4 pockets. 🙂❤️
I watched Tina do this yesterday and I'll be interested to see how you put them on a page because they'll be longer than the page when they're open. That would drive me crazy. If I try this Id have to go 5x5.

Speaking of teachers, I had my track coach, who was also my math teacher yell at me one day “Dow, (that’s my maiden name) you run like a chicken!” There went all my confidence and I didn’t do so well at track...he was a great teacher but maybe should have held back on that one...🙃

My heart is pounding, of course it could be all the carbs, I just ate a whole bowl of mac & cheese. 🤢I figure if you wanted to delete them or say something to them you would, but then I think I should defend you, and Blue Fern, but then I don’t because I don’t know if you’d like it, anyway I’m still upset from yesterday and today and just itching to tear into someone. I never turn the television on during the daytime but my cousin messaged me today and told me to turn it on and that got me going with all that mess in Washington DC, people!! There’s a reason I’m an introvert, I really don’t like people.

Just a thought - you could cut everything off camera since most of us know how to use a cutter and maybe just cut out one folder or whatever on camera. This would give you a lot more time on camera for actual crafting. Also, if you glued two of your glue book pages together it would make them sturdier. I like the collaged folders best!
I finally got around to watching the video on what happened to Jimmy Joe. Sad, I could never do that. I always take the good with the not so good, with pets and children, loving them and bonding with them always makes them turn out awesome!
I had to do what gayle n Mike did with a dog of mine.many years ago., it was for a different reason. And yes it's so hard to do it , but best for both parties involved , ok.is in the place he needs to be or he would have kept eating rocks , n that is a no.no for any dog Anyone that comes down to having to sign their loved dog over has a v every hard time for a while but in their heart they know it's the best thing to do.memories last forever

I think I have a number 11 needle in just now. And my stitches are set at 3.5 I’m pretty sure. 🥴❤️

Hi Honey. Have you tried to twist a rubber band on the scalm of your glasses? Just behind the ear so it will stop them from sliding. Try it.

With collaging, the book page pocket is just right. Don’t want to thicken my journals any more than my over the top decorating already does! Lol! ❤️
