There's heavy metal, and then there's heavy hearted. With the things Corey has had to endure from his childhood to losing Paul and Joey and everything in between, all the raw emotion he puts into his music is always genuine. I hope when Corey retires, he will finally get his chance to just settle in and enjoy being with his family. He deserves it.
Fun fact about the glass scene having the glass break and cut Corey’s hand wasn’t scripted. He actually broke it by mistake and it did really cut his hand open.
Heck, if I had the pain inside to write this, damn sure I'd have a hard time singing it. I have a fucking hard time listening to it anyway... I can't go through it without crying, and it must be the 70 some thousandth time I hear it... yeah
This song is so personal for Corey Taylor that he broke down mid concert in Chicago and for the wine glass scene he didn't mean to break it and actually cut his hand. He got so emotional he screamed in pain.
6:24 - let me tell you, it does break you. I was married to my wife for 10 years, with her for 15, and with two kids together. then she said she didn’t love me and wanted to split. Hardest time of my life. This song resonates so hard with me. Love Corey’s voice.
If I may ask, and if it isn’t too personal, how did you cope with those feelings? I was together with someone 7 years and we got engaged to only be told before we planned our wedding that she no longer felt the same. She and I met our senior year of high school and were together after we graduated so I learned a lot about life with her and like Alex said in the video I put all her interests first to only get nothin in return. It got to the point where at the end of everything I would think of every “I Love You” as a lie and full of hurt? I’m not suicidal over her. I love her still. I miss her still. I see her constantly because her sister married my best friend, her parents still send me nice messages here and there letting me know how good of a man I was. But why is it that she didn’t feel the same? I’m sorry if I’m being too vulnerable. We broke up almost a year ago and the anger/sadness is still there yet I’m thankful it didn’t get to the point of marriage and kids. So I can only imagine how hard it was? I hope you really are in a better place mentally emotionally and physically because for myself I struggle with that feeling every day. Talking to another person doesn’t feel like much because all people and friends tell me is I should have sex with this n that person yet I yearn for that LOVE connection I had .... in all love and respect brother, I hope you’re doing well and the question isn’t too personal. 🤙🏽
Mic Tech it’s just time. I’m lucky in a way because I have kids so I’ve been able to focus on them and over time I’ve learned to come to terms with it. There are still issues I have and questions I’d like to ask but for now I don’t really feel it’s necessary to. I think you just have to focus you mind and your energy on something positive. Easier said than done I know
I hope you never ever EVER experience true heartbreak like that! It doesn't just hurt you in the moment but continues for decades with every breath. You truly feel an empty, torn place inside where that other person was that can never be filled by anything or anyone for as long as you live! I live with it every moment that I draw breath. I've often thought of suicide but I know that my (deceased and much beloved) husband would want me to continue to try to live. He would tell me to never take that step and never give up, no matter how much it hurts.
My heart breaks for you! I've had 2 very painful losses in my life and I can tell you that it gets better. The pain will never completely go away, but it will ease. When you feel like you cant go on, when you feel like giving up, or you cant escape the pit of pain and loneliness, lean on the ones who love you. They will give you the strength and support you need. 💟
Yeah, no matter how much it hurts... but then, that's easy for a dead person to wish upon the living. Their pain is over. I love those I've lost, but I can't live for them. The longer I live the greater that gulf between us, the more it hurts... but I have to live for me. Some days I don't want to live at all, but - day by day, I'm still here. I live for me, and I live for those that are still with me. I die daily for those I've lost.

I can say from personal experience, this kind of heartbreak is the most painful thing in the world... It's been years and I can still feel the same pain I felt that day... This particular Slipknot song means so much to me as it has helped me through all of the hardship I have faced in dealing with that pain and it will always hold a very special place in my heart (I'm actually in the process of drawing up a tattoo to represent this song in some way)
Try this one Alex. It's a harder song from Stone Sour actually it's 2 songs that run together. I think you'll like this one if you haven't already reacted to it. Stone Sour -Gone Sovereign/Absolute Zero
Leizar James Remar yeah. the first did get taken down, which is probably why he didn't recall reacting to it. he didn't mention Deja Vu in the first upload, and he was more confused this time around. i remember watching the original
I'm so thankful you're never had to go through a heart break like that (I mean this was uploaded 4 years ago so maybe you have now. but I'm speaking from what I know in this video) because it truly is the most unimaginable pain a lot of us have ever been through. I've heard people who beat cancer say they'd rather go through cancer again. I've lost close family members and friends and still put the hurt of a heart break above everything. The only thing I could imagine hurting more is when I lose any my parents or god forbid one of my younger siblings dies before me.
I'd be happy if he listened to any Coheed... Welcome Home is pretty great but there are so many good ones... Ten Speed Of God's Blood and Burial is amazing for one
@@gefootball42 Was it? I kind of thought A Favor House Atlantic or Mother Superior passed it, but I never stayed up on sales numbers.... I did love playing it on Rock Band though lol
You really need to watch the making of the video. It really shows the emotion Corey had. Also yes you've reacted to this before, but you trying to remember if you have had me dying.
Yea OK but is the video I'm watching now the same vid that got taken down or is it him listening to snuff for the second time thinking it's his first time? That's what I don't understand xD
I know it's been a year since you did this...but just saw it tonight. This song rips into me so, every time I hear it. Someone I was deeply in love with took his own life last year. Even though he didn't necessarily feel the same way, i've always tried to not love conditionally...anyway, not long after he passed, I heard this song and...well, I just can't. I never knew the background or that he is also the Stone Sour singer. Thanks for that... Also didn't know you are a Houston person too - nice to see good representation of our city. Peace...hope you and the fam are safe during all this crazy...
dude, I'm so glad you finally did this, you should check out their video "the making of snuff" this song will make a lot more sense after you see exactly what got put into it, much love bro
I am so happy, you did this song again. i was unable to listen your firts reaction because of german law bullshit and youtube sayd no... Snuff is one of my Top 3 Song. he discribes the way this break up breaks him so beautiful i couldn´t belive it by listening first time. but the message: "you hurt me so much that i will never try again with you" was the point i fall in love with the song. Only to think about this kind of pain i got goosebumps. The scene in my head turned from the one suffering person to one who is strong enough to say no instad get hurt by another try.
The fact that you went through all of that speech about how Corey relays his emotions and experiences into the music... This song was written by multiple members, not just Corey... But, it is notable that Corey can put so much emotion and passion into someone else's words just like his own.
Er no this was a song that by and large was Corey alone. He made a demo and the band tweaked around the original. It’s about a previous relationship Corey had (think it’s his ex-wife but I could be wrong). Hence it’s significance to him personally.
@@Stephen_Platt You put important words in there. There was a small hand by Joey and Clown in writing this song. But yes, by and large, it was mostly Corey. And Joey even referred to it as Corey's masterpiece. But multiple members did have a hand in the writing it, thus, my statement that Corey putting so much emotion into the words of others as well as his own, reigns true. It also reigns true in most of their music. No matter which member wrote which song, he puts his soul into it. Joey was a primary writer of most of their hits, and yet, if you listen to the songs you would never know that they weren't Corey's own thoughts and feelings.
@@Stephen_Platt Now I don't know what exactly they wrote for, it mind you. It could have just been something as small as changing something minor. But they all three have writing credits on the song.
As much as I long this song and slipknot this song hits hard as well as Alex’s description. I think a great song for you to check out is Learn to Love by Secrets it preaches a great message and one of my personal favorites by them. Keep up the amazing work Alex!
The feelings that the song was probably trying to get through is so understanding and that kind of heart break feeling brings so much pain where you don’t really want to do anything and it feels like part of you is missing as that person in your life has gone or doesn’t feel the same way, but at the end of it if true love is real and this happens with one person keep looking and you never know the person that broke you heart could come back to you with a big apology and asking if they could have a second chance, but making the mistake of a third chance for that person breaks you in the end. Feelings with is song is mutual to the lyrics one of slipknot’s best slow ish paced songs in my opinion. ( sorry for the long comments as well people just thought needed to get my thoughts of the songs meaning out there and how relatable it is to some people) Stay positive and Keep pushing forwards, keep yourself as yourself try not to change for anyone you are your own person.
You did react to this but glad you did it again because first time I tried to watch you’re “snuff” video it said it was restricted in my country (US) which was weird. Glad you did it again this songs instrumentals hit me hard add in Corey’s voice and it feels like my heart and lungs are caged by my guilt and can’t fully exhale without cracking the cage with tears of sorrow. This song has strong meaning for me...
New sub. I'm really glad to see someone open minded and willing to try something different. Metal is one of those life changing things that happen when you least expect it. On that note a band I implore anyone who likes metal or talent to check out Devin Townsend. One of the greatest musicians of our time, his two most well known band are Strapping Young Lad and the Devin Townsend Project. Hard to pick a song for your first experience but if I had to choose one of the top of my head I'd pick Wrong Side (Of The Head) for SYL and Deadhead for DTP.
So this seems to be a recurring theme. I love me some slipknot but you dont have to react to a band's entire discography. Check out Ice Nine Kills (which a lot of us have been requesting.)
He's not reacting to their entire discography, just some songs that he's seen being requested or that he's heard of But he should should check out ice nine kills
Oh god, I don't even know slip knot and am listening because of you. His EVERTHING words are haunting. I hope not too 😥 there's just too much dam shit in the world.
It feels like he did, but the fact is that this song and the "Vermillion" (s) songs are super similar to this one. Additionally he has seen Cory without a mask, so everything is mixed up. This is his first time hearing this song.
6:24 You are such a sweet guy. I subscribed on this video alone. I loved it so much. Not ONLY based on the 6:24 stamp. But, you on general. You rock!!!! Thank you for this... I will be binge watching.
You should starting react to live shows. If you love Corey's songs so much for the first I would recommend Corey's solo show in London. He plays slipknot/stone sour songs only with the guitar and it's so much enegretic
U did react to this b4 , but it got taken down or u took it down. I remember c in the thumbnail but when I clicked it was removed. Great song though. 🤘🤘
Dude you definitely did this before, but it was a lyric video and quite a while back, I mean like seriously early days of your channel. So don't beat yourself up man, we got to enjoy the song again, have a giggle and its obvious you've not heard the song in a while so it made a very good reaction video. I know there are people screaming 'fake' personally I don't buy that but I also add who the hell cares, its fun, I'm watching because I love watching you and find your content entertaining!
Isn’t it amazing that slipknot’s heaviest song is also their slowest and quietest song.
There's heavy metal, and then there's heavy hearted. With the things Corey has had to endure from his childhood to losing Paul and Joey and everything in between, all the raw emotion he puts into his music is always genuine. @@JeremyBarbell I agree, although I literally like every single song they ever made haha

Yes! I've wanted him to react to these songs since his Through Glass reaction video
Faith no more - Epic
I'd love to see you react to Parkway Drive - Vice Grip
Better Prey or Romance Is Dead...
Bottom feeder
Yes
BONEYARDS!
Finally...!! Thanks for the awesome reaction
Leizar James Remar he already reacted to this a long time ago
@@grayman7809 is that why he said.. he feel like its de ja vu? I didn't know about that,, dude?? Seriously??
@@grayman7809 it got removed due to copyright, I never got to see it the first time
Leizar James Remar yeah. the first did get taken down, which is probably why he didn't recall reacting to it. he didn't mention Deja Vu in the first upload, and he was more confused this time around. i remember watching the original
I knew I shouldn't have watched this reaction. I cry every time.
Where is our little piece of heaven
thank you someone said it lmao
Best A7x song till this day imo.
He said he’ll watch it when He reaches a certain amount of viewers (don’t remember how many)
200k subscribers :D he reached that few days ago. Cg btw
Martin Šmelcer Then wtf is He doing?? D:
Welcome home by Coheed and Cambria please!
I'd be happy if he listened to any Coheed... Welcome Home is pretty great but there are so many good ones... Ten Speed Of God's Blood and Burial is amazing for one
You could have beeen all I wanted
valdris86 agreed but it’s their most commercial success and I think it’s a good way to get others into them. Claudio is a genius
@@gefootball42 Was it? I kind of thought A Favor House Atlantic or Mother Superior passed it, but I never stayed up on sales numbers.... I did love playing it on Rock Band though lol

Welcome home has been in movies and TV shows. I don't think A New Favor has.
I think you did but it got blocked or something.still an amazing song.love the T-shirt
If you haven’t already, I’d recommend Bother by Stone Sour.
Again, a softer song, but Corey’s emotions in it are amazing!
Awesome song
You really need to watch the making of the video. It really shows the emotion Corey had. Also yes you've reacted to this before, but you trying to remember if you have had me dying.
I STILL NEED A REACTION TO DEFTONES “YOU’VE SEEN THE BUTCHER” (and yes you did react to this, but I luv me some slipknot)
Guys, his original reaction video got taken down.
Yea OK but is the video I'm watching now the same vid that got taken down or is it him listening to snuff for the second time thinking it's his first time? That's what I don't understand xD

React to some of Stone Sour's heavier songs like 30/30-150, Absolute Zero or Fabulous.
"Wait, have I reacted to this already?"
*adds "?!?!" at the end of the title*
I know it's been a year since you did this...but just saw it tonight. This song rips into me so, every time I hear it. Someone I was deeply in love with took his own life last year. Even though he didn't necessarily feel the same way, i've always tried to not love conditionally...anyway, not long after he passed, I heard this song and...well, I just can't.
I never knew the background or that he is also the Stone Sour singer. Thanks for that...
Also didn't know you are a Houston person too - nice to see good representation of our city. Peace...hope you and the fam are safe during all this crazy...
Love seeing this guy a full fledged fan now. Also your little video clip edits are hilarious.
I think you have Reacted to this but who cares continue sir lmao

I hate the cut in the music near the end.
Then dont listen to music videos
Stefan Christensen I... don’t.
then you dont cut?
Conor Murphy that is the best part
They do that to encourage people to buy the album where it's not there.
Do volumes- feels good or wormholes

dude, I'm so glad you finally did this, you should check out their video "the making of snuff" this song will make a lot more sense after you see exactly what got put into it, much love bro
IT'S THE MANDELA EFFECT! I swear you've reacted to this already
the acoustic version is WAY better, imo it has more... feeling, its just beautiful
Yeah, but regular snuff is still pretty damn good imo
@@SK23. im not saying the original its no good, its an awesome song, its just that it... fits more in acoustic? i dont know how to explain it haha
@@KaiorxH ahh I get you, I agree
You reacted to this already
Man, watch the videos of him doing this live right after Paul died, itll hit you right in the feels.
Eh. Reupload, re-reaction or not, it's new for me :)
I'm glad you listened to this song. I suggested it a while back. It's a very raw and emotional song. This song is actually about his real pain

Alter Bridge - Words Darker Than Their Wings Live at the Royal Albert Hall
the people who know what this song is about should have a tear in their eye r.i.p paul grey
Dude I always cry when I listen to this song dude 😭👏🏼
So this seems to be a recurring theme. I love me some slipknot but you dont have to react to a band's entire discography. Check out Ice Nine Kills (which a lot of us have been requesting.)
It's his channel, he can do what he wants.
Come on man, we can all do with hearing snuff one more time :)
He's not reacting to their entire discography, just some songs that he's seen being requested or that he's heard of
But he should should check out ice nine kills
Or some Wintersun..
He cam react to whatever he wants . I'm pretty sure it's his channel.
Oh god, I don't even know slip knot and am listening because of you. His EVERTHING words are haunting. I hope not too 😥 there's just too much dam shit in the world.
But you did this one allready? Right? Anyway do more dio and judas priest PLZZZ 🤘
It feels like he did, but the fact is that this song and the "Vermillion" (s) songs are super similar to this one. Additionally he has seen Cory without a mask, so everything is mixed up. This is his first time hearing this song.

Pretty cool bro, i´m enjoying all your channel! Tks for doing this
You should starting react to live shows.
You seriously haven't experienced a heartbeat like that? You're lucky as hell
This is one of my favorite Slipknot songs. I've experienced this type of heart break before and listening to this always makes me shed a tear.
