If you wanna see a really good Corey Taylor live cover (that's also got a hilarious intro), you should look up (and do a reaction video) to his cover of "With or Without You" by U2. It's a great video.
Hello Alex if you like Corey's acoustic stuff check out his tribute to Prince after he died "Corey Taylor - Purple Rain - Live at First Avenue in Minneapolis, MN"
Alex Hefner G’day mate since subscribing to your channel I’ve been really enjoying your reactions to all types of music. I was wondering if you could please check out an Australian Band called Hilltop Hoods. Check them out brother start with Crosby Sweater. Keep it up ya a legend
It's true todays been an extremely tough day already had an Anxiety attack twice, but this song and a ton of other Metal songs just help me get out all the feelings, or just help me to calm down and relax before I start to panic.
Paul Gray absolutely LOVED this song. After he died, Corey dedicated it to him. It's therefore become extremely difficult for him to perform this song, because it's essentially Paul's song.
@@kkirill4633 Those two songs are why I love All Hope Is Gone so much. It's a very varied album that truly shows the band's versatility. I love their fast-paced and heavier stuff is amazing, but their more emotional songs are great too. Slipknot is way more than just screaming
When I saw Stone Sour during the song “bother” Cory did it acoustic and about 3/4 of the way through when the crowd echoed a line he sang, he flat out broke down and lost it. That dude is dedicated to his passion like no other front man I’ve seen in-person. He’s a badass of anger and emotion in his music.
@@RobertJones-hr3ou well during this performance, it wasn't much earlier they Paul Gray passed away, so this performance was dedicated to him. But yeah, the song wasn't originally intended for Paul when he wrote it
As a metal head, Billie is really not that bad. I swear. Her songs are, like, the pop parallel to some metal. She's not faking her sadness, but metal is a better genre to express it. That's why people don't like her. (mostly)
This is a very emotional song. My mom loves this song every time she hears it she starts to cry. We’re fighting cancer now and I would be lost if she was to leave. Alex, my man you’re doing a excellent job, keep them coming and “ A Dope Ass Day “
Hearing this song and just this version fucking kills me. I love how it's just himself and his guitar and how he's just him. He's a gorgeous human, I wanna meet him and hug him.
Me too.. when this came out I just went through a break up of a 4 year relationship and I still tear up when I hear this, especially this acoustic version
I got to meet him before SlipKnoT's show over here in Auckland. Such a nice dude, but I wasn't the one that noticed him. My friend did. He noticed HIS NECK. 😂 Dude was walking around the city, talking to buskers and giving em money, a brief chat showed how sincere he was. "All this talent and they can't get their foot in the door, man." When we asked for a photo he was hella keen. "Get over here, you bastards" hahaha, was a great time.
As much as I love this song, I have a hard time listening to the acoustic version. The parts where Corey starts to break down are heartbreaking and I can't help but cry. Not for him, but for the emotion he exhibits and instills in others. A true master!
This man is not only beautiful but has one of the most beautiful & powerful voice ever. He pours his heart & soul out in this song. It really made me tear up ❤
Corey Taylor has the second highest vocal range in popular music today, his talent and skill at singing really is one of the most underappreciated things that exists!!
Corey Taylor solo, live and acoustic is (in my humble opinion) 100 times better than any Slipknot or Stone Sour performance. Period. Great video. Stay positive Alex! Keep smiling, don't let anybody throw a shade at you! \m/
Absolutely love this song one of the best but I can't listen to it without crying or breaking down , my mom was in the hospital in ICU barley alive and I would listen to this song at the time because I loved it and now when I hear it it's hard to listen to but when he says " it took the death of hope to let you go" I lose it there and break down because it really did take the death of hope to let go when my mom passed in 2017 😭
Their bass guitarist Paul Gray passed away in 2010. This song was his favourite. They play it in his honour. One time, Corey broke down crying on stage after performing it. It's pretty strong stuff.
What I find most fascinating about Corey is that he's able to do such a wide variety of vocal ranges And does them all superb. Not many artists can do that
I just spammed him on twitter to post reaction to Taciturn. I lost my shit when I heard that song. Absolutely the best performance by him, ever. He gave a whole new life to that song by performing it live. I cant even say enough about. Fuck. It. Taciturn. PRICELESS.
I've been asking and hoping to see a "Halestorm - Love Bites" react video, and I'm slowly thinking I won't see it, BUT I will still continue to watch because I do enjoy these videos!
His voice has always given me goosebumps. To this day when i hear him sing i'm just like damn and the emotion he puts into this performance. I can't even put into words how i feel when i hear Corey sing.
Thanks for doing what you do alex. Seeing you experiencing this music for the first time brings back the goosebumps and feelings I felt when hearing a lot of the songs you react to. Keep up the great work champ.
Idk if anyone explained why this is a hard song for him to get through so here I am. Their bassist Paul Gray died shortly after this album and this was his favorite track off of the album. And if you didn't know Slipknot is basically a family. They're super close so it was devastating and the song always ends up hard for him
When the singers are emotionally attached it makes the live perfomances so much more special. Its the same thing when volbeat plays fallen live. You can really hear all the emotion in the song as it is about his dad who passed away
This is a really heartfelt song, gotta love Corey! For another really heartfelt song react to “Whitechapel - Hickory Creek” it will hit you right in the feels.

This song was especially hard for him after he lost Paul Gray. His death absolutely tore him up. Given that Paul co-founded Slipknot, he was with Corey ever since he joined and was responsible for a lot of the best music Slipknot had to offer, but never took credit for things he didn't feel the need to.
