I had a 1968 Plymouth Roadrunner; 383 Magnum, 4sp Muncie and a 4:11 geared rearend back in high school. I had paid $200.00 for her. She was rust free, and had disk brakes on the front. She ran the 1/4 mile in 10 something. My dad sabotaged it so that I wouldn't get killed in it! I had gone thru the engine, and had the heads milled .010. My shop teacher and I reseated all her valves in auto mechanics class. 1982
It’s about time. They never should have quit making Plymouths. They actually had far more muscle cars than any other car company. The Road Runner, Baracuda, GTX, Superbird, Duster, Challenger.
Actually, you can have the Trans Am made as well as the GTO.....not factory of course. I agree the Big 3 wouldn't build them or won't mass produce them. But there is a customization company that turns the new Camaro into the GM variants.
Trans Am was actually bought off of GM the rights that so you'll see them if you want one you can get one but the firebird that's rumored to come out probably won't nor the Chevelle nor the roadrunner
@@donald4095 they owned Pontiac from 1926 to 2008 the fire bird you can get now is a Camaro with a kit,a small private company are converting them, and they do a good job..
Plymouth is not even up and running anymore. There's no way to make a Road Runner Again without Plymouth. Dodge isn't Dodge anymore either! Feed that bull to someone else!!
If you want to make cars great again, design them so that they can be serviced again, IN THEIR OWNERS GARAGE! Strip out all the computer junk and stick to straight mechanical’s.
Have seen many of these videos lately. Most of the cars look more like a dodge cornet. Also for all the talk about it being a Roadrunner, there are no badges of the bird and all they all say Runner. Both these point to avoiding copyright laws
You people do understood that Plymouth is just the name that is still owned by Chrysler. So yes, come out with the car and call it. The Plymouth Road Runner.
Ummmm, you do know this is bullshit ! Chrysler is NOT bringing this back,as it's parent company Stellantis is more interested in killing the Dodge/Chrysler/ RAM/Jeep brands - don't believe this
I had a 1969 Roadrunner 440 with a 3/4 Cam, Holly 4 barrel, 4 speed w/headers. No shocks, no mufflers on the headers and someone used bondo on the body and painted it with flat white paint…lol I only paid $200. To be 16 again and see the world positively.
I have a 1969 Plymouth Road Runner; originally 383, it now has a rebuilt 440 w/its original 18-spline 4-speed transmission. Does this one they're showing actually have a normal trunk? It kind of looks like it, but doesn't show the angle very well in that regard. How heavy is it? Does it have the same sort of weight distribution as B-bodies of the era? That sort of thing is important to us Alaskan "ice" drivers. ;)
Look at the fenders grills etc. Several different designs shown in this video, not a single car. I doubt any of them are real mock ups. Just digitally produced BS.
Yeah it's a beautiful car but will probably never say it it's a damn shame should have done this when the chargers were out it would have been a big hit so sad😢😢😢😢😢😢
Our designers at Plymouth Research & Development are currently working on what spelling(s) we will use on the new Plymouuth Rodnnnr and whether or not we will use those bizarre fin-wing-thingies.
Man I love it but not sure what the real car will look like. I hope it’s as cool as the rest of us 60 year olds that have the money to re-live our youth will be ready for.😎
Chrysler would have hundreds of Lawsuits if they ever brought back the Plymouth Brand. They dumped hundreds of dealerships and lost millions of dollars. Dream On
Even if this classic did make a come back,it would just be one more luxury for the rich, the average person couldn't afford it.
Which defeats the whole purpose of a muscle car indeed, its supposed to be an affordable performance car
I had a 1970 Road Runner, big block!!! Loved that car. Now at 75 yrs old I don't think I will be getting one..but would love to!!
@user-/ I'M ALMOST 70 AND I'LL DEFINATLY BE GETTING ONE IF IT'S A TWO-DOOR!!!!! NONE OF THAT FOUR DOOR CHARGER CRAP!!!!!!
I'm 78 and remember my 69 Super Bee with teary eyes. Loved that car. THIS thing will never see the light of day.
I'm gonna wait for the 2024 Edsel.
Probably happen sooner than this concept.
@@dang6832 LOL !!!
🤣🤣
I'd rather drive a '58 Edsel Bermuda than a '57 Chevy Bel-air.

Muncie....
@@food-uc4sm Is that General Motors ......
@@food-uc4sm Good catch.
A 383 that ran 10s? I call BS.
@@Spiritof_76 Especially with a M-22 Muncie 4-speed, AKA the rock crusher which was made for GM.🤣🤣🤣
Im a fan of the 1970 Plymouth roadrunner superbird. The legendary iconic car.
It’s about time. They never should have quit making Plymouths. They actually had far more muscle cars than any other car company. The Road Runner, Baracuda, GTX, Superbird, Duster, Challenger.
Love that Fury!
You will never see it,or the new chevelle, and trans am,when you see these fake concepts they never make it on the road😂

Talk going around is the Plymouth is being brought back.
The company is now owned by a overseas company !
Smart of these companies bringing back to these models, they are classic’s for a reason.
Now if they would actually do it
If you want to make cars great again, design them so that they can be serviced again, IN THEIR OWNERS GARAGE! Strip out all the computer junk and stick to straight mechanical’s.
Batman brings back Plymouth?
I wish it was true
The Taillights remind me of my 70 Roadrunner I had in high school
Someone hired some really brilliant people over at Plymouth. Another job well done
Body style looks more like the '69-70 SuperBee
I was close,,, I had a '71 Duster with a 360cc out of a 72 Satellite Cop Car. So glad the Plymouth Is BACK!!!
They talked about bringing back the CUDA also but that never happened. Don’t hold your breath about a new Roadrunner
Have seen many of these videos lately. Most of the cars look more like a dodge cornet. Also for all the talk about it being a Roadrunner, there are no badges of the bird and all they all say Runner. Both these point to avoiding copyright laws

Chrysler isn't even an American car company now ! They were bought up by a foreign conglomerate company !
This will come out when the new Pontiac Trans AM comes out! Lol. What a joke. 😂
No kidding!!
I want one . And will try to order one
Ummmm, you do know this is bullshit ! Chrysler is NOT bringing this back,as it's parent company Stellantis is more interested in killing the Dodge/Chrysler/ RAM/Jeep brands - don't believe this
Pretty cool. I might just have to get one.
Stellantis will kill Chrysler before it can be produced
to many concepts I see a cudaish nose,I see a squared off nose with a coronet look.
when it originally was to look like a 71.
LOVING IT 👍👍 👍👍 👍👍

Well, who is going to make this? Chrysler? Oh wait.....let's make Plymouth a company so they can make one car. 😮😮😮
Yea people would definitely buy this 1 😯😇
IF they put a hemi in it. But they will probably want to make it a toaster or out that head gasket blowing 6 popper in it.
If this were really going into production, what would Really make this amazing news is if production would be done only in Detroit!!
THEY HAVEN'T MADE A PLYMOUTH IN ABOUT 30yrs...!

This Is So COOL !! Love it .

Good luck ❤
Let’s see it out on the road
There is no Plymouth 😂
I'm hearing the new bring back for 2025 is the Cuda?
Word going around is that the Plymouth is going to be brought back.
EV 😝
I bought a brand new 68 383 4 speed no power brakes ,steering or a/c bench seat . What a time to be alive.
I won’t hold my breath. Looks cool in fantasy though. I’ll be happy to be wrong!
I'D LOVE TO SEE A NEW ROADRUNNER/GTX ON THE MARKET!!!!! IT MUST BE A 2 DOOR OR I DON'T WANT ONE!!!!!!
I have never seen a Road Runner that looks like that
damn and wow love to see it
There was an article in Hot Rod magazine about three years ago that claimed these Mopars would be remade. I'm still waiting!
And even if it was possible, it would probably be an electric vehicle for the man bun owners.
FIRST They'd Have To Bring Back Plymouth!!😲😵🙄😉❣❗
Wow!!! My Wife and I have said for years! Bring back the Muscle cars and they will sell!!! And Look!!!
This IS NOT REAL ! And is not coming back - Chrysler have only 1 model in its lineup now,and it's a mini van. This is just CGI nonsense.
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Yeah it's a beautiful car but will probably never say it it's a damn shame should have done this when the chargers were out it would have been a big hit so sad😢😢😢😢😢😢
A beautiful car making history again masterpiece coming alive again
Now you're thinking we don't want electric cars we want muscle baby❤❤❤❤❤❤
It might be called a Chrysler P Road Runner.
That's interesting.😮
They forgot to put docking cleats atop the front fenders.
When is the "K-car" making a comeback?
Pipe dream at best. Not to mention that the video showed 3 or 4 different variants. Additionally, Tavares killed the Hemi.
That's beautiful. Is that a plastic model or has someone built this car? The modified fenders and rear panel wouldn't be hard to modify on a 69.
How many cars are they going to show? I see at least three versions.
Our designers at Plymouth Research & Development are currently working on what spelling(s) we will use on the new Plymouuth Rodnnnr and whether or not we will use those bizarre fin-wing-thingies.
If it comes out I will definitely get one.
What is the jaw dropping performance?
Man if Detroit would make a car like that I'd buy it!! Unfortunately it won't happen!!
Chrysler engineers are all gone so I don't know how you can say they poured their heart into into.
Brought to you from brain surgeons that made charger a 4 door. Looks cool
Man I love it but not sure what the real car will look like. I hope it’s as cool as the rest of us 60 year olds that have the money to re-live our youth will be ready for.😎
Look they added old AMC javelin fenders on a road runner
I love it ❤and will buy it.🎉
Thankx For Watching
Hey I had a 68. It was a WOW car.
So, where's the Road Runner badge?
It's a charger body style
How can you bring back plymouth
Plymouth was exterminated a long time ago. It ain't happening.
@richard/ you never know. I'll be calling the local Chrysler Dealer Tomorrow.
It's a shame if this doesn't get produced and I want one.
I love the design. Faithful to the original, unlike the Camaro....
Yet, Plymouth is no longer a company.
Where is the road runner logo
Once I heard the terms Hybrid and EV I had to bail.
When will it be available?
Are they going to make it a four door , like they did with the charger? 😂
How much?
how much will it cost and where can i get one
👍🏻👍🏻
The final Plymouth was assembled on June 28, 2001
OH Yea Mopar baby, had the 70 RR.
I think this is the first new vehicle Fiat's international design team has produced. Bet they worked hard in Brazil to get this mockup out.
Great Comments, Why make something the average consumer could never afford?
What time you came out with the new Chevelle Super Sport and the roadrunner I love the new style❤❤❤ what about the new GTO
Working on it!
My only question, is how much?
Yeah, and it’ll be a four-cylinder turbo about the size of a dodge neon…
Awesome hope it’s true
Maybe it would be a huge sale if Chrysler still had the v8
That be ughley. Failed mate between 68 charger, super bee and who knows what. I had one of the first 69 roadrunners so I’m offended by this tradagy
Chrysler would have hundreds of Lawsuits if they ever brought back the Plymouth Brand. They dumped hundreds of dealerships and lost millions of dollars. Dream On
Thanku For Watching
Dream ! Never happen.
Cool
They're showing 2 different models here. Which one is it?
Wow
Is it also going to be based on the bare bones basic platform as the orginal??? The bells and whistles came on the GTX... oh, theres no Plymouth!
I had a 73 with a 340,I kick alot of stang butt in high school.😋
Chrysler isn't an American car company anymore so , the overseas owners would have to build it !
When are they going to bring back 2025 VALIANT station wagon 😂😂😂??
Plymouth drove down the same road as Pontiac and Oldsmobile...the only cars that exist are the ones no longer produced. Old school.
