This was a blast from the past. I used to love this show. Some of the challenges were mad. One that stands out in my memory is a guy who said he could identify what Queen song was playing (while wearing sound-proof ear defenders) just by the wavering flame of a candle placed by a speaker.
If this isn't the most epic YB! challenge of all, then without question it comes extremely close. And a fantastic way to end Matthew Kelly's first series - this episode airing on ITV on Saturday 20 April 1991.
I'm pretty sure this was one of the only times this particular challenge music was used, and certainly the only one to have ever had a build-up theme. I'm also pretty certain this was the last challenge of that particular series?

I disagree on the show being brought back for one VERY simple reason. Look at gladiators, the krypton factor, only fools and horses to see how shows that have been bought back have been completley butchered. Better to fondly renember the show with its classic status than to taint its memory with a half-assed remake.

@@safe-keeper1042 this isn't a situation for compromise. If you read his newsletter and respect his content then I don't see why you can't respect his only request to his viewers. You sound like a child staying up past their bedtime because their parents aren't home, when all you have to do is respect the wishes of a content creator doing something nice for their fans.
There is only one thing worse than Matthew Kelly and You Bet - Bruce Forsyth as the presenter. What a pile of crap, who really cares if someone can hang upside down like this guy or drive a brand new, all lights flashing JCB through the eye of a needle (there seemed to be a JCB every other week). But hey, it's only my opinion right?

@deselmes You Bet fans didn't have to wait until next year because Matthew Kelly's second series as host of the show was shown later in the year.
