Watched Career Opportunities, loved Cruel Crazy Beautiful World. Decided to find some more Johnny Clegg stuff to listen to on RUclips (mainly 1980s/1990s). Then went to Spotify and found this amazing song! What a voice and his music is great, very innovative, then and now.

I still can't believe this is the same guy that made the Dela song for George of the jungle :O
Mc-Laine_AC, "Dela (I Know Why the Dog Howls at the Moon)" was released on the "Cruel, Crazy, Beautiful World" album in 1989. "George of the Jungle" was released in 1997. The song was used in the movie but not written FOR the movie.
As The Real O’ Donovan said - Dela was recorded in 1989. It was and remains evergreen, as Johnny Clegg and his band played it as his final and encore song right up until his last ‘Final Journey’ concert in 2018.

This might just be my crazy mind. But I think there is a movie in this song. Can see this scene happening with out the watch dropping him mourning the girl and hearing about the king of time. He then goes in search of the king of time and after a long crazy search find him in a tiny little watch/electronics shop ( Old black man with a white wooly beard and tiny round glsses comes to mind) he then becomes his apprentice and actually learn to builds the machines and in turn becomes the new king of time and then goes back saves the girl and drops the watch and paper.
Found out about Clegg when Scatterlings came out in the eighties, and never let go. RIP Johnny Clegg. Great 'till the end.
