Great job on the vid, look forward to next episode.
Thank you!
I just bought my first 75 after watching your videos I’ve had it for 3 months now.
Oh wicked!!
Just installed a catch can the other day, next up is a fuel water separator for sure! Especially with how dodgy fuel can be sometimes; regardless of whether you're in the middle of the city or the middle of nowhere. Cheers for the reminder 🤙
That's it hey
Love seeing olboy on the road it looking good. (Good old Dalrymple Road shows all the good rigs in Townsville)🤙🤙🤙
Auxiliary fuel filter / water separator is a great idea! If you have seen the snot inside a 150,000km old rotary pump that HAS been looked after you would not hesitate to give it and the injectors the best chance you can! Another great vid Danie! All the best :)
Loving the intro 🤙
Cheers!! I won't say how long it took hahah
@@DanieSimpson I feel your pain!!! Editing sucks 🤣
Really like the intro danie. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for sharing Danie, more handy tips, great work.
Awesome video with great easy to follow instructions. Keep up the great work 👍👍
about bloody time you put up a new vid..........thanks.
Well done mate as an old truckie i can appreciate its allways good to catch the water before it gets to where it shouldnt be and love the new airfilter setup
Cheers
Cowboy Tuned🤙🤙
I’ve found that nut drivers or even a 1/4” socket drive set is much easier for tightening hose clamps.
Smart to take care of your fuel system. Great video. You are are awesome and awesome vid.
Love the new intro. Oldboy is looking really really good.
Correction. Olboy!
Love you’re vids keep up the good work 🤘🏼
Great video! I love the new snorkel and air box. :)
Thank you!
I put a tap on the inlet side to prevent fuel drain back so i don't have to pump so much when primeing. Its the little things.
Nice job, Old boys coming along
not a bad idea, on my last diesel i actually fitted a primer bulb for a boat before the fuel filter, from memory was only 4-5 squeezes and it was up to the filter.
Yeah, done that to an old valiant years ago. Good stuff
Love the videos, can't wait until part 2 :)
Easy available filter replacements, great kit, not over priced ♥‿♥
Couldn't agree more
I love watching u Daniel.. your the best 😍
Great work and Content!! Keep it up!!👍🏼👍🏼🇦🇺🇦🇺🍻
reminds me I have to service my Toyota Aurion soon
Nice job
Awesome as always...
Well done , good idea 😎👍🍺
GREAT DETAIL VIDEO
THANK YOU SHARE
Nice neat install! I should look at actually getting one 👍
Also when you drop something that doesnt hit the ground, do you really need that bit anyway 😂😂
True hahah
Loving the new intro👌.
Nice
My favourite place to drop stuff is between the injector pump and the block lol.... every time
Noice
I waited like a boy 😂
I suppose it goes without saying given your skills and background but by all means carry a spare filter for each filter type and may as well stow away that second 10 micron filter in your vehicle since you plan on going with the 4 micron filters in the future. To touch on fine filter media though, I've had experience with an add on final fuel filter ( Racor ) for a diesel tandem truck and I believe its a 2 micron filter. It plugs insanely fast and the truck still has the factory filter doing the initial filtering but due to the fine nature of the filter it traps such fine particles and when it plugs up its media becomes black. It can be frustrating due to how quick it can plug up and with no warning the truck falls flat on its face as it reaches that point where its too restrictive just when one is going up a hill !. The unit I have is an open element style that the housing has to be opened and its not a great road side project. Anyway just a heads up about the fine filters as they find the shit in the fuel and let you know all about it as diesel has issues and much more so in your warm humid climate with growth happening in the fuel and any water in the fuel is where it really grows. Using a biocide every so often in your trucks tank would be a very good idea to keep the monsters at bay within the tank as that black substance I spoke of was most likely the side effects of some growth within my trucks fuel tanks.
Cant decide what im here for
Careful using to smaller micron as it may cause your engine to run to lean and cause damage
I also use fuel Doctor every time I fill up no matter where I fill up.
Moved up to the cape and fuel quality can be bad up here
There is a couple good vids on RUclips demonstrating how it works!!! It’s a cheap insurance
I do the same thing now. Always carry a Bottle in the Car
Thats not a bad setup young lass,i priced them filters and their not a bad price,my setup in a real 4x4 was a bit tricky, when i installed a auxiliary tank i had to install them small peasant filters before the changeover tank valve which entailed relocating the water trap in a different location, don't know if you have worked on old army type land rovers their water trap is drivers side under rear chassis,i relocated it to the front part of the chassis on the firewall where it is protected. My main filter system needs upgrading so where abouts do you park OLBOY at night.(:
I certainly have good ol 4wds they are.
The new intro is awesome. well done. I also looked up the new PPQ plates from your insta. I'm now mucking around with formats and what to add underneath.... I was thinking ' Money Pit' or 'If U can read this UR 2 close' lol. Now a tech question. I'm fitting a catch can next but will now look at the new or extra fuel filter if I can fit it into the BT50. Do you know if I can change the factory oil filter to a bigger unit? The current filter is about the size of half a coke can. It just seems too small. Cheers
I like money pit haha! Have a look on the website there is a way to check fuel filter specs and equivalent
NEEDS DA BIG TURBA
i have double cabin 2005 doesnt go more then 145km/h speed.... how about yours???
We're did you purchase the battery mount from. Thanks
?
Danie… Is this a prefilter for fuel before OME filter or just for the risk of water particles pre fuel pump ?
All of that is explained in the video:)
Where did you get that mount for the filter and catch can and did the 75s come factory with a water alarm?
Was made and yeah mine did
Vibration can cause lots of problems and is never a mechanics friend. What sort of vibration dynamics come in to play with the mounting bracketed and the length of the hanging filters?
mounted just like the factory one
Whete did the mounting bracket come from? Was it part of the kit or does it have a separate part number?
Was made
@@DanieSimpson awesome 🙄
Did you do a air filter upgrade video? I think I missed it and I can’t find it. 🧐
Will be in a later video:)
What can you say the girl has style, and brains,
How often do those (should) separator filters get changed?
Depends on a number of things and is a case by case basis. Mine will be changed on a major service like my factory one
quick question how often is the filter replaced? every service?
Whatever your interval is for your car most are 20000 to 40000
@@DanieSimpson Thanks for the quick reply haven't got the car yet but I'm planning to get it installed first thing as soon as i pick it up from the dealership as i want to have a healthy engine right from the start
@@DanieSimpson Also where did you buy/get you mounting brackets from? looks like a smart idea!
@@10babic was made
You should do some videos of yourself out wheeling.
Yeah there is
What is the red liquid sealant called?
Stag
I personally don't like the bracket as will be a pain if u want to change a battery
Two wing nuts? Easiest way ever. Also had that battery for nearly 5 years so not really a constant job I face
@@DanieSimpson not talking about the wing nuts as such it's the bracket holding the water separator looks like you havnt left enough fuel line so u can lift it all up in 1 piece if you needed to.
But it does make everything look neat which I do like 👌
@@dylangarnett3919 All lifts up very easily as you can see in the video. 2 wing nuts and lifts straight off
What brand of springs r in it?
In it when I got it
Can u please give part number ? So I can buy from ryco. I had same 75 series Ute 1hz. Please give me part number . I couldn’t find it . Thanks
Watch the video and you will see the part number
Danie Simpson I watched is call only z980. Cause some of z980ua . Didn’t get it
Danie Simpson and u done pretty good job mate
Danie Simpson what’s the code of fuel water separator?
@@alicetinkaya9499 watch the video and it has the fuel filter part number and the part number of the kit. And you just said it in an above comment
oh i missed the air box mod
Instagram is where i post most
@@DanieSimpson must have been a while photo wise link please?
