The only reason Cavill cameo is in this movie was because Ryan Reynolds want to make fun of DC. I mean, it wasn't like Disney treat marvel characters much better. Where is Shang chi 2, eternal 2, Hulk movie & even captain marvel next appearance? And if they supposedly gonna treat Cavill much better, they wouldn't have him have a cameo on this movie instead they will give him actual line & made him an actual Marvel character.

I was going into this film fully expecting to see the OG X-Men. But the cameos we got instead were so good and unexpected, that I was in no way disappointed. The cameos were also incredibly timely and MCU relevant given the projects we know Marvel Studios is working on: i.e Blade, Fantastic Four, Daredevil and X-Men ‘97.

Ryan Reynolds is a genius. The movie was amazing and made with so much love for the fans. No stupid political agendas. Pure entertainment and nerdgasm. The movie absolutely embarrassed Disney and annihilated all of their woke movies and series post Endgame. No wonder they had to bring RDJ back to save face and get some hype. This movie proved there is no superhero fatigue. There is only political agenda, bad writing and directing fatigue.
The thing I'm still wandering about is how the hell did Deadpool managed to break apart the adamantium skeleton? But then again, now I think about it, it's Deadpool.
I just got out of my screening and yeah, I was pretty bummed about having no other X-Men appear. Really wanted to see Storm, Rogue, Scott, etc. It was still a really good film! I think I just expected something else.
At that point its not Deadpool and Wolverine its Deadpool Joins XMen ...which according to the movies, X-Men have wanted Deadpool for years and he has rebuffed them so IDK why he'd get depressed and quit superheroing for years after an Avengers rejection.
References were made about Batman and Superman, but it was assumed it was comic related. In other words, Batman and Superman exist as comic book characters in the MCU. The "There's only one Blade" line was followed immediately by Deadpool looking directly into the camera with a smirk. Deadpool knows there a new Blade coming.
Missed opportunity to have the Deadpool from the X Men universe at the end of the movie standing amongst the other variants.
i was thinking the same thing
Didn't Deadpool already kill that variant?
@@RadioactiveGoob Well he could've regenerated again or something. He can do that after all.
Well, this is the weird part, this is also Deadpool from the same universe
The only reason Cavill cameo is in this movie was because Ryan Reynolds want to make fun of DC. I mean, it wasn't like Disney treat marvel characters much better. Where is Shang chi 2, eternal 2, Hulk movie & even captain marvel next appearance? And if they supposedly gonna treat Cavill much better, they wouldn't have him have a cameo on this movie instead they will give him actual line & made him an actual Marvel character.
The only line that’s coming out this movie is “ girl you crazy” 😂😂
I loved that payoff
For me it's gonna be "sorry I'm genderblind" replacing I'm nonbinary
I particularly liked "I identify as a feminist"!!
yeah that “it’s only ever gonna be one blade” made my mouth drop 😂😂😂
I have been feeling so numb with every movie release this year. Nothing has interested me or got me out of my movie slump. This got me excited again. What a movie theatre experience. It felt like Barbie and Oppenheimer in terms of crowd excitement and a party! This is what I wanted. That Chris Evans cameo got me good😂🔥
I knew as soon as they hinted his line that he would say “flame on”
You should watch young woman and the sea
@@rodrobinson5630 I did last night! Great movie!
It actually was the real Azaelal and Lady Deathstrike 😂27:10
I didn't mind the lack of X-Men in the end. Just a couple would've felt like preferential treatment, and having a lot of them would've distracted from Deadpool and Wolverine.
@@twincast2005 yeah for me the cameo’s they had in this were just the perfect amount. Not too distracting, just the right amount of cheese and awesomeness, and actually serving a role in it
For me, it was Wolverine that distracted from Deadpool.
It really wasn’t deadpools story at all.
@@mburek9909 bro are you just going into every thread complaining?
“This really wasn’t deadpool’s story”
*WELL DONE HOW DID YOU WORK THAT OUT? WAS IT THE FACT THE MOVIE TITLE IS LITERALLY DEADPOOL AND WOLVERINE? NOT JUST DEADPOOL…*
@@mburek9909Deadpool got his arc in this film. He felt useless and no purpose, in the end he did. Wolverine got his arc, he let down his world, in the end he saved one. I don't see wolverine as a distraction, he's a cherry on top.
@@JMDA_14 I think that just adds about HOW you can write Deadpool. Actually, Deadpool with a bunch of superheroes around him causing nothing but chaos and they have to pick his crap up? Genius. Then, he betrays them? That would have been fun. Deadpool can carry a movie, but I think if too many heroes is "distracting" then you haven't written a good Deadpool
I was actually touched by that line about those experiences that made Wolverine who he was today.
We had many good laughs! Very well written and the hundreds of jokes worked as well 👍
I was going into this film fully expecting to see the OG X-Men. But the cameos we got instead were so good and unexpected, that I was in no way disappointed.
The cameos were also incredibly timely and MCU relevant given the projects we know Marvel Studios is working on: i.e Blade, Fantastic Four, Daredevil and X-Men ‘97.
The midcredit scene was very sweet (especially with Green Day's "Good Riddance"), and it felt like a genuine "thank you for the memories" moment.
Tiny Wolverine had me 💀
he was originally that small! in the early comics, meaning he was 5.3 foot tall and was 160 pounds!
@@johnbernhardtsen3008 In my opinioni, that's the real wolverine. 👍
9.5 / 10 .. Ryan Reynolds is just ruff to listen to after a while . He don’t stop with the quips
NERD FACT.. so in the Celine Dion music video for the song ASHES, for Deadpool 2. Deadpool and Celine and Deadpool has an argument after the song is over. She leaves after calling him Spiderman. And he says to himself..."I should have hired Nynsc"
The only thing that didn’t make sense is Deadpool being the same timeline where Logan died. Why was x 23 in the void? Where are the other x men they did go to x mansion in Deadpool 2. Juggernaut is not the same as the og x men movies.
Can't help but feel that X23 ending up in the void does a greater disservice to Logan than Logan coming back from the dead!
they didnt get gambits eyes right again 😭
I just think it’s kinda weird that they show a bunch of bloopers from fox movies considering none of them showed up
I saw it as a send off for that franchise of x men because now marvel has the rights to them 😅
The shirtless logan scene proved one thing: objectification is only a problem if it's a female character...
Even without all the additional cameos, I would say it still felt like a celebration and send off to all of the fox marvel movies
I loved Deadpool’s line about “I’m not even sure he likes me”, when talking about Wesley Snipes. We all know that RR and Wesley did not get along on the set of Blade 3 and I love that was acknowledged.
Kind of a missed opportunity that neither Blade nor Deadpool acknowledged that they were together in Blade Trinity...
They did, when dp said "didn't expect to see you here" to Blade
They did DP says something like I thought you didn't like me
Blade says I don't.
WS and RR famously didn't get along on that set.
Both of them are breaking the fourth wall bc the actors don't like each other.
@@Ruthless_Regg yeah I missed that, apparently that's in reference to their Blade Trinity feud... my bad!
Real Marvel fans know the scene was from Thor: The Dark World but they just edited Deadpool in it
I was totally convinced Taylor swift was gonna be in this movie
It would have probably made this a 2 billion earner if she was singing on a stage doing her lightshow even for just a few seconds but alas. Perhaps in an actual Secret Wars
@@nailinthefashion the reality is that the movie was way too adult and rated R - Taylor wouldn’t have done it just because of her fans
I don't believe that a bunch of humans kill off the X-Men in Wolverine universe.
Thanks Grace! I watched the movie yesterday. I was waiting for your spoiler review.
While this was not a boring film, i was not particularly entertained. It had its moments but overall i might watch it only one more time in the future. I like the first two Deadpool films a lot more
i got the blade, gambit appearance spoiled for me by a random instagram post, though because of gambit's costume i thought it was fan made lol so was still surprised when they actually showed up
The times you said “I just let it go” speaks volumes imo
My favorite scene was Deadpool using nice pool as a shield. The people in my theater hated me I could not stop cackling. 😂
YESS I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE WHO PICKED UP ON THAT BEN AFFLECK JOKE 😂😂😂
Me too 😂👏🙌
Me too!
The thing I'm still wandering about is how the hell did Deadpool managed to break apart the adamantium skeleton?
But then again, now I think about it, it's Deadpool.
We definitely need a Gambit movie in the comedic style of Deadpool.
It would need subtitles.
@@VivaciousOM he could dial it down a bit lol
@@mrmackay8353 I agree!
Peterpool was the real hero of the movie
I just got out of my screening and yeah, I was pretty bummed about having no other X-Men appear. Really wanted to see Storm, Rogue, Scott, etc. It was still a really good film! I think I just expected something else.
I thought we'd see Storm or Rogue...I was hoping for ANYONE
At that point its not Deadpool and Wolverine its Deadpool Joins XMen
...which according to the movies, X-Men have wanted Deadpool for years and he has rebuffed them so IDK why he'd get depressed and quit superheroing for years after an Avengers rejection.
No cable thanos reference, no Edward Norton, no ghost rider
I guess Deadpool making that joke about Cavill being from "down the street", means the DCEU exists in the larger multiverse.
Didn’t the kid from eternals bring up Superman lol
@@judegross7624 Yeah, and Batman I think?
References were made about Batman and Superman, but it was assumed it was comic related. In other words, Batman and Superman exist as comic book characters in the MCU. However, that film didnt show Henry Cavill. Not only does it show Cavill in Deadpool and Wolverine, but Deadpool makes reference to his other variant being part of the DCEU.
Now THIS is CINEMA!!!!! Comic book/superhero fans ASSEMBLE ❤❤❤❤
Cool how our very own Grace got a shout out at the premiere, too. You go, girl 💪 🎉🎉🎉
?
@@BeyondTheTrailer Oops, so sorry, my mistake. I got excited and mixed up seeing you mentioned in another video noting the early positive reviews, not the premiere. Either way, always glad when you get the hard-earned respect you deserve. One of the very few RUclips critics I hold in high regard.
I’ve heard a lot of people mention that’s there’s only gonna be one Blade but feel a lot of y’all miss Deadpool breaking the fourth wall looking at the audience like we both know the truth
Just left the theater and this movie was an absolute comic book lovers dream come true. the action sequences were superb and therefore I did not need the cameos that I was expecting.
Imagine Johnny Storm meeting Captain America.... Capt thinking Johnny is just another Playboy like Tony Stark into himself and Johnny being like... you look just like me. 😂
Joe Madureira! Amazing! Grace, you truly are the best in the business! The very best.
I do feel like people outside of your subs are expecting Fox Xmen cameos. I remember when all the reports were basically saying 'this is a swan song for Fox's Xmen.' It feels very much like No Way Home and Multiverse of Madness teasing and then not fulfilling. Some fans are going to be VERY frustrated by that happening again. Some won't care.
I think that end credit montage is going to be more harm than good for those that expected more cameos.
