Saw the ATB Generation in a Video from @9Sess and changed it up a little bit to be saver for the first clear if you dont have Götterdämmerung.

FINALLY DID IT. This method is so damn goated, it crushed the first 4 legs of the fight. Just needed to make sure my materias were fully grinded properly for MP conservation and damage and Soul drain is used only on stagger. That last round tho, damn RNG Sephiroth’s chain targeting system…. I finally got the dub when I miraculously perfect blocked with Yuffie and hauled ass on him immediately with Aerith and Cloud, even managed to sneak in an assess. I think I died more times to him when he chained Aerith than any other round. I think the main thing is to target one thing at a time and be extremely aggressive in the ‘-aga
To those gunning for it, THIS is the ultimate way to beat this fight. Hats off to you sir for this strat, you made my dream of platinuming this thing more real :D

I changed a little the materias:
Tifa Weapon: healing-magnify ; revival ; pray ; hp up ; mp up
Tifa Armlet: barrier-magnify ; fire-elemental ; Precision Defense Focus ; First Strike ; Empowerment ; Time
Aerith Weapon: Lightning and Wind-MP Absorption ; First Strike ; Magic Up ; hp up ; mp up
Aerith Armlet: Fire and Ice-MP Absorption ; fire-elemental ; Vitality Up ; Vitality Up ; Healing ; Revival
Yuffie Weapon: Speed Up ; ATB Assist Materia ; ATB Boost ; Time ; hp up ; mp up
Yuffie Armlet: revival-magnify ; fire-elemental ; Steadfast Block ; Precision Defense Focus
The important changes are everyone absorb fire so that the first round is super easy and Sephiroth first elemental is healing me.
I also use the proposition from @vaxellimus using a radiant ward on top of my arcane ward (The hardest part was making Aerith stay of those wards !! "Stop coming closer STOP I said")
I manage to assess Sephiroth by trading Yuffie magnify with Assess (and then I died).
Anyway, I thank you very much.
If you give Aerith auto unique ability materia she tends to stay in her wards for the double cast!

@@高橋勲-l1c Slap Elemental-Fire on the armor of all 3 characters. Phoenix will heal you constantly in round 1. And once you push Sepiroth to Affinity: Fire he will heal you too. Just gotta burn him before he switches to Ice.
Took me a few tries (and a few hours), and finally managed to do it, so thanks for the build :)
And now I have to do the legendaries and finish the 2 last chapters on HM... should be easier with the gottathing, right ? right ?
I never see anyone do this, but if you dont mind slightly slowing down the run you can also cast radiant ward on top of arcane ward to be immune while casting spells!
For even more safety you could go Barrett knstead of Tifa, and use Lifesaver.
On the opposite, if you use Tifa to finish off the staggered Kujata (Unfettered fury uppercut cancel+attack generates a single ATB even without haste, use the atb to spam true strike and melt staggered enemies), and before the final strike you can charge up a Blizzaga with aerith to destroy phoenix before she can resurrect Kujata.
I gave them all Fire + Elemental armor and using this managed to beat it not once, but twice in a row because I was too worried about winning to Assess Sephiroth the first time 😅
This strat worked really nice, took some practice to perfect block Sephiroth's moves, but defeated every single one in the end. The 3rd rank spell loop for Sephiroth was great to do haha

I only changed Tifa for Barrett (same materias and strategy except pray for chakra and I used Barrett's Lifesaver ability with chakra to heal). Kujata is so annoying but the rest of the challenge is relatively easy until the first phase of Sephiroth. Make sure to use Barrier or you're done.

This strat is super fun and it got me to round 3 first time. I need to practice it a bit more to get timing down, but I will report back. Thanks dude

@@Auron2402 first try back and got to Gil. But he somehow took all my mp down to low so I couldn't cast raise or manawall? Not sure how that happened lol

@@Auron2402 had that on one of my tries, managed to survive somehow with 2 dead.... to be obliterated by Sephiroth right after that haha

@@biohead66 what helped me was pausing when he starts the hit animation, then hold the right direction and unpause

Don't think so because the generation comes from the atb ward. But you could try
Can I do this with party level 9? that cactur crush hardmode is to frustrating to get lvl 10
I don't think you need level 10 for it. The important part is atb ward, burmal, arcane ward and haste. And all those are pretty basic
okay perfect, because there is something with Yuffies ATB at lvl 10. Forget what it is called@@Auron2402
Cactuar crush is easy man. People made some videos explaining step by step what to do for each wave and it's a joke. I can finish them with a minute left on the clock
Hard mode was not easy, oncee I started using windstorm with Yuffie it got slightly better. Aeriths was RNG I would make it to the end with no enemies left and have around 5900-5980. BUT finally DONE with that stupid mini game forevveer!!@@dreambiscuits

Ive tried other builds and i couldnt get past gilgamesh but this build made it super easy to reach sephirtoh. I just get screwed over by him chaining everyone 😂
Yeah it's a bit luck dependant who he chains first but you should be able to juggle him after the first chain

Is Sephiroth phase based on luck? I spam brumal but I get chained every single time
I'm not sure if you can dodge chain with burmal. But it's luck who he chains first. You really want him to chain Tifa or if he trys to chain yuffie you want to perfect block / dodge it.

Reach sephi via these but he's way too fast to catch my team....
Yeah the beginning of seph is the hardest part. Try to use the time slow of the atb menu to your advantage if you have timing problems. And try to dodge the first attack with burmal already so you get the atb. It's a really tight window
Might use this strategy to get the last enemy scan and gotterdammerung
Barrett feels better with this build than Tifa. He can use lifesaver to draw aggro and be the tank while you spam with Aerith and Yuffie.
I had Tifa in for the synergy skill that increases limit level but in the end didn't even use it 😅 the problem with lifesaver on barret is that pray is most effective when the whole party is damaged and pray is the main healing source

Yeah the beginning is the hard part. As I wrote in the video try to dodge his first attack with burmal already so you start generating atb because the atb ward should also appear in that moment. If something go's wrong with sephiroth it's really hard to recover
Yes that's a pretty fun and good build but man gilgamesh such a pain I don't hate him tho

Great video and guide but Gilgamesh keeps cucking me. It’s either frogs or he goes ham right out the gate and slaughters before I can even finish setup it’s bonkers. I haven’t seen him do that in any of these videos I wish gilgatrash was deleted from the game I’m legit MAD AF. lol I know it’s probably funny for others but after spending large amounts of time to get to him it gets old real damn fast. I even emulate the setups in these videos it’s like my game was patched so he just shuts it down asap.
Yup a good run can be ruined by getting stagger locked to death out of nowhere. It's great 😅
