Which one is YOUR favorite? (I am so sorry, FFXI, it's hard to cover and get footage of you 😭) Some may be missing, some may not be included because felt redundant to show every single animation, I didn't consider worthy or not cool looking (honestly, that's the priority to include them) etc., Of course
But that means it's not "EVERY" Limit Break as you've decided to put it in all caps. When I read "EVERY Limit Break", I intend to see every single one of them. Your personal opinion doesn't exempt what is and what isn't, and what should and shouldn't be included. There are so many things that aren't here in this video. I get that obtaining footage can be pretty hard but that doesn't make it an excuse to just skimp out. I wouldn't have minded if you just did each entry and extensively covered everything piecemeal - posting different videos at a later date. That way, you can just skip the entries you don't care to go through the effort of covering and no one will bat an eye. But you compiled everything you had in one video and called it what it wasn't.
I remember playing ff6 as a kid fighting kefka in the narshe snowfields. After multiple attempts to get by the imperial forces I was finally able to beat them all and get to kefka. The fight was close for a bit, then my characters were killed one by one. It was down to just locke who had around 50 hp left and was one hit from death. I hit attack, and next thing I know, "mirager" appeared at the top of the screen. Locke did over 2000 damage and kefka died. One of my absolute favorite memories playing any RPG ever.
Damn, that's so cool. I'm sure that when they created that attack it was in the hope of moments like this to happen to someone so that's funny. Those clutch moments are always memorable
Well just to mention rinoa dog limit which carry enemy and thrown up to sky and spin and fall one doing to omega weapon was the moment I think her limit break was "woah"😂
It's actually pretty cute how limit breaks in 7R are replicated, imagine Cid's dragons and airship participating (Man, Yuffie go bonkers in hers in OG 7, I never got to unlock them before)
I was surprised when I saw them together, I expected some brand new limits in Rebirth, but with the appropiate JP name I could see the similarities. Nanaki jumping and body slamming you while Earth shatters everywhere was surprisingly accurate for example
Makes sense kinda. I was paying attention to the 3rd ones specially while recording this and jesus, some of those feel like an overkill animation wise 😅, Basch with his dozens of giant swords or Ashe summoning a god of thunder from a black hole or whatever, I like it
I remember as a kid I never got to see Aeriths limit breaks but my friends at school swearing she had them and didn’t see any of them until I was about 10 years older
There are so many great ultimate abilities on offer; it's hard for me to pick one particular favourite. So, I'll just say I had the most fun using the ones from Final Fantasy VI, VII, and the XIII trilogy. I had the best time and the best strategies with those. 😊
My heart usually go for the cool animations even if I don't know what the proper right usage of it 🤣 But maybe my favorite is Rinoa throwing Angelo as a cannon, has to be
I was surprised when I see them all together with how accurate they ended up being, despite the added flashyness some may have, they still have key points of the original ones. Iss cute
I wouldn't be surprised if some of his transformations happen in special moments like Galian Beast did. Like imagine seeing the flashback of Lucrecia and Vincent turning into Frankenstein there etc. With Cid I hope there's some highwind action in some way, honestly seeing them all together made me realize how accurate some of these ended up being, even some over the top like Barret asking for a Satellite to throw laser beams.
I actually have a correction for FFXV The only possible way to break limit in that game is by using the item called Rare Bit, from Omega in the Royal Edition. The rare bit allows noctis, and only noctis, to break 9999 damage on any given attack. Pair this with a food item that gaurantees critical hits, as well as the Armiger Unleashed, and you have a recipe for mass destruction. Be careful, though, as the Rare Bit reduces Noctis' health and defense by a great amount. Quick note: I challenged myself and used the Rare Bit in the secret 8 dungeons (the ones behind the vault doors). Quite the fun challenge! Make sure to stock up on Elixers, Phoenix Downs, and Hi-Potions. As for crit hit food, the Golden Tail Soup is the best one to use, but the ingredients are very expensive.
funny how Satellite Beam and Catastrophe basically swapped places in FF7 Rebirth, Catastrophe was Barret's ultimate Limit Break in OG but his lvl 2 limit in Rebirth
I thought the same thing. I was always surprised with how accurate they ended up being despite the over the topness of OG limits (which also makes me uncertain of what he has left for part 3)
Last time I played FFVII was probably 20 years ago so my memory is foggy but why is Cloud doing damage beyond 9999. I could have sworn there was no way of breaking 9999 in a single hit until FFX with the special weapons (and armor) that have that thing that lets you go beyond 9999 and also the summons. The only exception was the Eden GF in FFVIII
FF13-2 You missed Lightning's Legion of one (Dlc battle/feral link), and another very cool Army of one in Lightning Return, I call it Omnislash Lightning ver.
Fair. I do love Lightning and to have more of her but I feel the Feral link would be more of a "monster"/companion thing rather than traditional LB mechanic, XIII was like a bonus addition for unique attacks they had. She goes hard in LR, tho
Well, the emphasis on EVERY "Limit Break" Ability is weird. 8 misses some of Zell's and only includes one each from Irvine and Quistis, and they were the weakest ones. Why not Pulse Ammo and Shockwave Pulsar? Same with Khimari in 10. In 9, you didn't include some of Zidane's and most of Freya's and missed Kuja, and you didn't include Dagger, but you did include (some of) Yuna's in 10. I get why you didn't do Vivi or Eiko; they're just multiple casts of regular spells. But then I don't get why you included Lulu's. I'm not sure how you'd do 11, there are *hundreds* of "Weapon Skills". Even if you only did the REMAP (ultimate weapon) Weapon Skills, that's still about a hundred and I can't imagine the difficulty of tracking down the owners of all of them and having them demonstrate for the camera. But that's a huge part of EVERY that isn't there. I liked the video. It looks good and I'm sure it was a lot of work, but I think you should adjust the title.
To answer your inquiry in all honesty, the reason is: Marketing. To add in the title something like "except some variations I don't think they are worthy because they are repetitive or redundant or simply just don't look cool for me to include animation wise" or similar is not convenient, that's why the pinned message exists as the disclaimer for that. (Other than that, I might be wanted to capitalize limit break instead & I didn't realize, but still works)
You are not wrong my friend, I probably see them all only by making this footage and trying many times 🤣 It's more like a surprise to tell someone about it during school breaks
Whilst I appreciate the work and effort that went into this, it isnt EVERY limit break like you said. Video is unforunsyely misleading and some of the cooler and more obscure limit breaks that I love and would have liked to see arent included. (The majority of Quistis Blue Magic for example)
Well, if you need an answer, it would be that: Quistis Limit Break IS Blue Magic. Blue magic is what's considered the enemy skills you can use, so they are not fully unique to her. The Limit Break is that which allows her to use these spells, not the spells themselves that appear in other instances. Same with Selphie, Kimahri, Lulu or Rikku etc, their limits allow them to do something specific, and among this specific option they can use a range of different already known abilities (Kimahri with more Blue Magic, Rikku with 128000 combination of item throwing, Lulu with multiple spell casts etc). That's the logic, not every single option INSIDE the corresponding Limit. If animations are cool I threw it in there tho
Why not include the rest of Quistis' limit breaks? And Selphie's other unique spells like Full Cure and Wall? Your video title is already wrong and misleading.
Because those are spells that you find in almost every game that has Blue Magic. That shows that Quistis limit breaks is blue spell magic in the same vein that Kimahri's overdrive is having blue magic. There's a pinned message disclaimer for a reason
FFVIII Zell still have a few move not included here like "Different Beat" & "My Final Heaven". Also Quistis Blue Magic "Degenerator" which was insta-kill wasn't here
Plus, the Endwalker and Dawntrail limit breaks aren't here either. Valefor has a second limit break. Anima, Yojimbo, and Magus Sisters aren't here either.
Technically they aren't her moves as shes a blue mage and has to learn them from an enemy. Eye laser is the only one she knows by default. Same goes for Khimari as a blue mage/dragoon hybrid, he only knows jump by default and every other move is learned from an enemy. Selphie has the same "Rage" type limit as Lulu where they just spam a spell multiple times but Lulu doesn't have The End, which works on anything including the final boss and optional super bosses.
@@Ziggaton considering its not just ultimecia quistis can learn it from, it doesn't tie just to her, and since quistis is the only playable character who can learn and use it in your party, it becomes her move
Ikr? Probably the first time I used them were for this footage (they are attacks when at low health, but it happens at chance when you attack normally, no indicator or something)
Yes limit break was introduce at ff 6 , to activate it you must in near death . Terra has unique limit called trance like zidane and other in FF 9 change appearence . Also this trance use for limit break called for FF 9
They do one of two things depending on the character: either deal a metric ton of magic damage or instant death. Of course, if the enemy is immune to instant death, then the instant death limit breaks are useless.
That's true, I pass on a couple of "limits" if they feel too redundant or things like blue magic and variations of the same power etc, but it's certainly cooler
That's actually a great question. My first answer would be I don't know, but that was a modded version of the original game that fixes/changes some script translation, so might be because of that
Why's the audio in Japanese? Why is it crisis core reunion and not crisis core? Why is it not the ps3 version of ff13 and 13-2? Why wasn't it armiger unleashed or the other party member abilities for ff15? Why wasn't it the console version of ff15? Why was ff16 in Japanese?
It's actually footage from a retranslated mod/rom which apparently (I assume) did that change with the damage break thing. At least that's my guess, I didn't even know it did that
I don't have a clear answer, only that my footage is from a retranslated mod/rom, so I always assume that they changed that too, but didn't check properly
I knew they existed but never got them either 😅 You have to be on red health and simply attack, but there's a small % of getting that attack, is not fixed.
My Cloud is a rebel. The footage is also from a retranslated mod/rom which apparently (I assume) did that change with the damage, at least that was always my guess

Say what you want about FF8, but they had the best limit breaks (and bahamut summon).
They had many amazing things, I think the cinematic direction of the game is one of the best to begin with
And great OST
Rinoa's dog cannon still remains unbeatable to me what can i say
While yes, absolute favorite one, I also have to acknowledge her riding Angelo and breaking the space-time plane is impressive
For me, it's Selphie banishing ANY enemy to a flowery plain. FFVIII had the absolute wildest limit breaks.

Yufie's limit 3-2 is the best. 16 hits. 1 hit more than Cloud. And the bar filled faster too
It made me smile when I saw FFVI at the start. I hate the mechanics behind the desperation attacks, but it's so satisfying when it happens.
The name is fitting, they exist just to have the perfect of timings and potentially save you. But I had to puropsely try many times to record them 😅
No way you just did BASE Armiger bruh
You forgot my final heaven for Zell
In every FF series im always fight and wait for these limit break appear
They are worthy for the animation or cool-looking power up already, for me
Everyone remembers the first time they used Omnislash...that feeling never fades.
There are a few ff14 recent limit break additions you missed
Sage, Reaper, Viper and Pictomancer
Also it's worth changing that shot of Brds LB3 the aerial shot is always stunning on that LB
My favorite ones in order: FF8, 12, 7, 13. I didnt get to 14, 15, Type-0, ans 16 yet. Nor had i ever played Tactics.
I've played FF6 three times, and I've only seen a limit break happen once per game. And two of those were Setzer. The third was Mog.
The single greatest limit break in FFVII is Fury Brand. "Go, my minons! Wreak havoc upon our enemies!"
Last time I played FFVII was probably 20 years ago so my memory is foggy but why is Cloud doing damage beyond 9999.
