Let's be real, Wilfork didn't push the Jets lineman into Sanchez. Sanchez is just so bad that he didn't notice the giant, 300-pound green thing in front of him and ran straight into it.
The Colts one is the worst one. The other 4 were just mistakes that players made in the heat of the moment. The Colts coaching staff sat around a table and PLANNED that travesty. They Colts players PRACTICED that.
The play was supposed to be a trick play so when most of the offense runs off the field the defense is caught off guard. If that doesn’t work there was supposed to be a hard count that would make the defense outside. The play didn’t work on the fort front, and the snapper was a sub who didn’t know the play. Either way one of the players lined up wrong and everyone joined him.
The colts were trying an odd formation to throw the other team off. They wanted to make them jump offside but the center snapped it when he wasn't supposed to
After listening to Pat MacAfee explain in detail that colts play it’s so much more hilarious to watch. You get a sense of how pathetic the situation that unfolded really was😂
Everybody forgets about the fact that the Butt Fumble was just one play in a sequence that saw the Patriots score 21 points in 52 seconds. During that quarter the Jets had possession of the ball for 12 of the 15 minutes and yet were outscored in the quarter 35-3.
Emma well, I can respect Tom, but the deflate gate was uncalled for. Air pressure is different in certain areas, so don’t go out of your way to make it easier for you to throw the ball. I am wasting time wrtitijg lol
Glad someone pointed this out. Announcer had some orgasm talking about how powerful the defense guy was 'lifting him off the ground' and 'fork-lifting him' etc., and absolutely NONE of that ever happened. The QB just plain ran into the dude's backside.
+Of Legend I am Born haha I just commented pretty much the same thing. The O-lineman was in the same spot the whole time. He successfully blocked the d-lineman and didn't budge an inch. Yet the announcers completely made up the scenario about him getting thrown back into the quaterback.
That play was purposely made to give Patriots the ball. There were only two offensive starters on the field. In the interview, they said that the offensive coach figured it might be fun because in the rulebook that play would result in a defensive penalty but they decided to send out second string to try and further throw off the defense. It obviously didn't work because for the past four years the coaches for the Colts have replaced their brains with gelatin.

How about the guy that got a turnover and used it to score a safety against his own team instead of making a play against the other team? The dip-shittery is certainly higher there as far as I'm concerned. A turnover on downs vs your team earning a turnover and you scoring against your own team anyways.
I was at this game!! My dad, uncles, some of my cousins, and my brother use to go to the 49er games at Kezar long before they moved to Candlestick Park. We wouls sit in that end where Marshall ended up! Everybody was laughing and yelling, "You're going the wrong way", "turn around". When he stopped in the endzone and flipped the ball over his shoulder we were hoping it would go back onto the field, which it didn't unfortunately. After the game my brother and I laughed about that play as our Dad drove us home.

That play by the Colts on the punt was hilarious! It looked like backyard football where you have to count 3 Mississippi before you rush-unless you use your blitz!
I thnk that was a botched muddle huddle. you have the 7 guys standing around the center at the line of scrimage. then the center picks up the ball and snaps it to the quarterback. I don't know what the rule would be if the center was at the end of the line instead of the middle
drmayeda1 by rule there has to be 7 guys on the line of scrimmage, it doesn't matter where there are, as long as they're on the line. so if the entire line was on the line of scrimmage, there wouldn't have been a flag. there is no rule stating the center must be in the middle of the line
Vanish X still ass, define ass please, cuz if 6 wins out of 15 afc championships is ass in the last decade and a half then I guess you're right bro, they are extremely ass lmao go pats
Because Bill B didn't call the time out. Seahawks didn't have time for 2 perfect run plays. The idea is you throw the ball. You connect, game over. You miss, the clock stops and gives you time to examine the defense and run the perfect play. The Seahawks didn't see Malcolm Butler and threw it exactly where the patriots knew it would be.
@@DKMetcaIf Yes I was a colts/broncos fan, and then the season before the season before the titans made the championship I became a Titans fan as I live closer to them anyways. I was pretty much a peyton manning fan and just followed the team he was on and then he retired, once he retired I lost interest in any team and just watched football, went to a titans game the one where Derick runs a 99 yard TD agains the jags and became a fan of the titans. Next season we bought season tickets and been a fan of them ever since.
I've seen some pretty bad football plays but #4 is probably the worst. Like come on this the nfl. You play football for a living. How could you fuck that up
Jaydon Huh... still not entirely sure how that play was supposed to work. It basically depends on the other team doing something really boneheaded, which seems like a heck of a gamble.
You guys haven't been keeping up with the Vikings recently have you? They have now beat 3 very strong teams. Panthers and the Broncos were last years Superbowl teams. Greenbay is also a solid team and you guys ripped em' apart. They haven't let anyone down this season.
it's not the recent victorys that are of concern, they always find away to blow it up at the end i.e. missing game winning field goals.. History repeating itself etc. W
I don't think the Dolphins should have been on there. It was simply a blocked kick gone bad, so they had to improvise and they're frantically trying to make up for it. That literally could happen to any team. The other plays, however, were things which could have been prevented.
yeahhhhhhh and i see both sides of this debate. Many of what I would consider the "worst" plays are ones that go wrong because they're awful, nonsensical calls or mistakes. The butt fumble and the Dolphins kick were much less preventable by the coaches and teammates, and even the players who made the mistakes. Both entertaining tho.
For everyone who is wondering about the Colt's play, the whole story is that the play was meant to try and trick the patriots on 4th down to get a fresh set by penalty. The ball was never meant to be snapped. The reason that it was, however, was that the normal center who had practiced that play was out of the the game (Don't remember if he was just off the team or injured). The center that we watched actually snap it was not familiar with the play and did not realize that if there was no penalty, he was to just let their play clock expire and then punt it next play since he was a rookie fill in. It was a poor play because of incompetence, ignorance, and rookie mistakes for sure, but isnt as dumb as everyone is making it out to be once you realize what was going on.
No competent team would jump offside on a play which clearly has an illegal formation. Not only did the Colts not have an end covering the left side of the line - they didn't have a left side of the line!
I'll never forget watching the Desean Jackson play... I'm a Cowboys fan and my friend and I jumped off the couch when he tossed it backwards... Pacman ran to get it, but the ref blew the whistle and called a TD(it was close). Problem was the review didn't do much. Gave the Eagles 1st and goal at the 1 and they ran it in on the next play lol. It was so painful. DJ gives me enough nightmares. I didn't need a new one like that.
Poor Jim Marshall. He'll never live that one down. He was an extraordinarily talented player and part of the best team in football at the time (except the never winning the Super Bowl thing...), but he will always be the guy who ran the wrong way :(
No. The kicker needs to fall on the ball and take the loss at that point. He took a 10 yard loss and turned it into a touchdown. Unless it's the last play of the game, there's no excuse for him to try to throw that pass.
Radgamer226 you played football bro ? Amongst great athletes you don't do shit like that if you're not a great thrower , should've fell to the ground with the ball instead of trying to be a hero . The team scored because of him being dumb .
I mean, that was a terrible playcall, in context, yes. But if you just watched it as a football play, you wouldn't be able to tell how stupid / silly it was, unlike the rest of these. It just looks like any endzone interception.
About 50 times a year, teams in the NFL throw from the one-yard line. What's more, the success rate is actually higher than for running in the same situation. Marshawn Lynch also has a history of being stunningly bad in short yardage situations. He had been 1 for 4 on the year, and also blew it the next time they gave him a shot. That Pete Carroll likely knew as much is a good example of why he's Seattle's head coach instead of thousands of angry, ignorant fans. Yes, the play didn't work. That's football. You can do something that has a 9/10 chance at succeeding and maybe, just maybe, today is the 1/10. Doesn't make it a dumb move.
That last one remains me of when my teammate of basketball shot in the wrong hoop after a rebound... he started crying... I can’t imagine how that guy felt
Colts never claimed anything. They didn't say shit about deflated balls it was brought into the limelight by the media. Not to mention these are 2 entirely different games
To be honest, that entire game made the deflated ball thing seem ridiculous. After half time, they confirmed that the balls were at the correct inflation and the Colts scored 0 points. They scored 7 points in the entire game! Hell, the Pats scored more in the 2nd half than they did in the first.
The Giants versus the Eagles at Giants really had a bad one where they should have just laid down on the ball instead they tried to hand off and next thing you know Philadelphia scored a touchdown and the whole Giants coaching staff was fired that should definitely get an honorable mention
Yes, good memory. This play is especially noteworthy in that it changed endgame strategy. Now when a team has the ball and the lead with little time left, all you ever see is the "victory formation," as it became known, where the QB immediately drops to one knee and the rest of the team surrounds him to recover the ball in the unlikely event of a fumble. You will NEVER again see a game end the way this Giants-Eagles game did.
I think I saw the Jim Marshall wrong way play on TV at the time when I was about 10. Obviously it was a major goof, and Jim Marshall took a lot of ribbing for it. He had a good sense of humor about it and even appeared on the game show "I've Got a Secret." And of course, Jim Marshall became a great defensive lineman and was a member of the great "Purple People Eaters" defensive line with the Minnesota Vikings.
Let's be real, Wilfork didn't push the Jets lineman into Sanchez. Sanchez is just so bad that he didn't notice the giant, 300-pound green thing in front of him and ran straight into it.

That play by the Colts on the punt was hilarious! It looked like backyard football where you have to count 3 Mississippi before you rush-unless you use your blitz!
I laughed so much at this comment
"Illegal formation-The whole right side of the line was not at the line of scrimmage". lol
the 4th one is the stupides play I,ve ever seen
I agree
I thnk that was a botched muddle huddle. you have the 7 guys standing around the center at the line of scrimage. then the center picks up the ball and snaps it to the quarterback. I don't know what the rule would be if the center was at the end of the line instead of the middle
drmayeda1 by rule there has to be 7 guys on the line of scrimmage, it doesn't matter where there are, as long as they're on the line. so if the entire line was on the line of scrimmage, there wouldn't have been a flag. there is no rule stating the center must be in the middle of the line
That looks like a glitch in Madden.
Jacob Lawrence its from the movie "The Longest Yard" the play could have worked out if the qb was in shotgun
That last play though 😂😂😂
It was a dude running it into the wrong end zone.
No way
Brandon Berndt So they got hit with a safety?
+Evan Foster Yeah, he threw it out of bounds in his own endzone.
*"I HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS BEFORE IN MY LIFE"* 🤣🤣🤣🤣 never gets old I swear 😅😅
Should have just posted every browns game ever

Oscar Leal lmao shut up you threw the ball on the 1 you can't talk
Vanish X still ass, define ass please, cuz if 6 wins out of 15 afc championships is ass in the last decade and a half then I guess you're right bro, they are extremely ass lmao go pats
Vanish X You must be trolling. Ever since Brady/Belichick the Patriots have been the best and most consistent team in the NFL
#4, NO WAY that worked in practice.
lmao
really?
Arfadh Gumilang
Yes, really.
24 Lancelot is there a vid of it?
Arfadh Gumilang
Probably is, Aframaramalamadingdong.
I'm really surprised that the Cleveland Browns didn't make it into this video.
They will.
Replayys OG lol😂😂
The Browns would be a whole video to themselves lol
These are plays not worst teams
They just don't want it as much as the other teams..
Why didnt Seahawks run the ball
I don't know... smh
@@elsquibbs right? Almost like it was a planned out win for the patriots.
@@robert9595 Pete Carroll got out coached like he often does.
Because Bill Belichik is the smartest NFL coach of all-time
Being a Patriots fan this is my favorite video on the internet

Hi
hello
have u seen my email its boo.patriots123
#2 shouldn't be on this list....but the other 4 most defiantly.
lol... most defiantly...
I thought so too until I looked at the replay and saw the most horrific pass attempt ever.
I guess he throws the ball against his own helmet...
#2 is from the Super Bowl. That's probably why it's on the list. I remember it well.
Tyler Livingston who cares
I watched that Colts' play live and I am just as speechless today as I was that night...
Lol I was at the colts game when this happened 😂 everyone was freaking the heck out in the crowd
LOL. But you are a Titans fan???
@@DKMetcaIf Yes I was a colts/broncos fan, and then the season before the season before the titans made the championship I became a Titans fan as I live closer to them anyways. I was pretty much a peyton manning fan and just followed the team he was on and then he retired, once he retired I lost interest in any team and just watched football, went to a titans game the one where Derick runs a 99 yard TD agains the jags and became a fan of the titans. Next season we bought season tickets and been a fan of them ever since.
@@aidenh4681 ah nice. You live in Tennessee?
Thats the weirdest looking 2 I've ever seen. What kinda pretentious ass font did they use in this video editing?
its from a template i found online and i couldnt find a better one
stg it looked like a 9 and a z put together
You've got serious anger issues if you get this upset over a font.
That's what im sayin lol
Blake Snipe y
I've seen some pretty bad football plays but #4 is probably the worst. Like come on this the nfl. You play football for a living. How could you fuck that up
Cheiftain 19 what? Ur blaming the entire NFL for a bad play? Lol
+John Smith did you not read his comment properly? Or just got bad eyes?
John Smith lol read my comment moron
tstanton_ watch pat mcafee's explanation
tstanton_ they had no linemen what
That colts play never gets old
What were they trying to do anyway?
They were trying to make it look like they were making substitutions. Explained : ruclips.net/video/qDH87oNaq6A/видео.html
Jaydon Huh... still not entirely sure how that play was supposed to work. It basically depends on the other team doing something really boneheaded, which seems like a heck of a gamble.
Gg
They where just trying to waste time so hey called that play but he wasn't suppose to snap it.
I love it how every team that tries to beat the Patriots beats themselves on their own stupidity
But the pats cheat to win tho right?
Todd Taylor nope.
Not the Giants...haha. Pats may have this great dynasty but they cannot change the history of getting licked twice by the Giants.
Nutty Berries they can at least have more super bowls tho

You guys haven't been keeping up with the Vikings recently have you? They have now beat 3 very strong teams. Panthers and the Broncos were last years Superbowl teams. Greenbay is also a solid team and you guys ripped em' apart. They haven't let anyone down this season.
it's not the recent victorys that are of concern, they always find away to blow it up at the end i.e. missing game winning field goals.. History repeating itself etc.
W
Lol that last one RIP😂
I love how the patriots were on d for the first 2 plays
I don't think the Dolphins should have been on there.
It was simply a blocked kick gone bad, so they had to improvise and they're frantically trying to make up for it. That literally could happen to any team.
The other plays, however, were things which could have been prevented.
Karnedge did you see the pass attempt
It's not that the kicker's idea was bad, it's just a hilariously bad pass attempt.
Paul Robert I've never seen anyone throw it up in the air, then he hit the ball back up to the other team
He also blew what would have been the only shutout in Super Bowl history on that play.
yeahhhhhhh and i see both sides of this debate. Many of what I would consider the "worst" plays are ones that go wrong because they're awful, nonsensical calls or mistakes. The butt fumble and the Dolphins kick were much less preventable by the coaches and teammates, and even the players who made the mistakes.
Both entertaining tho.
the sass of the ref at 1:17 gives me life
@Plastic Icon best call ever
how about throwing the ball on the 1 yard line with Beast Mode in the backfield......
The Ferryman I knew I was gonna see a comment like this lol
Yup your on point with this one! Because of their stupidity I have to hear even more how great Tom Brady is... smh.
+Warrior Man what is that?
The Ferryman i went blind after that play
Gabe Flores he means that Brady is the GOAT
@ 3:14 I like how the ref was respectful and said the runner "lost control of the ball" before going into the endzone. Yea, lost control...
"lost control of his braincells" would've been more accurate.
How did the colts not get number one? That was the stupidest play to ever be attempted
They tried to get the patriots offside but the idiot snapped it.
Check the description
Wow so if he didn't snap it then it would have been a brillant flag bait
maybe he is trying to make a stupid p-lay too
Every time I see the “butt fumble “ I laugh like it’s the first time!!

Poor Jim Marshall. He'll never live that one down. He was an extraordinarily talented player and part of the best team in football at the time (except the never winning the Super Bowl thing...), but he will always be the guy who ran the wrong way :(
Jim Marshall running the wrong way is the best.
Adam Berendt He probably had a concussion. He wasn't spun around or on the ground.
Or he was just so excited he wasn't thinking
Adam Berendt I felt bad cause he was so happy
100% he was fired after that
How did he make it this far in life
4:32 love how the ninere player comes over to congradulate him
#2 wasnt really that bad
Yeah, he did what he could.
Yeah I was about to comment that
It was smart
#5 makes me feel sad to be a jet fan.

What about *seahawks* not running the ball??
I mean, that was a terrible playcall, in context, yes. But if you just watched it as a football play, you wouldn't be able to tell how stupid / silly it was, unlike the rest of these. It just looks like any endzone interception.
Different type of stupid. It was a stupid call. These plays themselves are stupid. The seahawks play wasnt bad it was just the wrong play.
+xxCutlery Exactly.
It was a bad call on the seahawks behalf, but the play wasn't *bad* it just wasn't correct.
Lol at Buttchez. You could tell by the way he lay limp after the fumble that he was thinking "I'm never going to live this down."
This is how top 5 videos should be. Original audio, no commentary.
"What... the..... heck....?" That makes two of us, Chris.
Someone should get fired for that Colts play.. Pop warner crap...
Mtn Noel only chance that play can work is if the guy lined up at qb is in the shotgun. And then that guy better have a dan Marino quick release haha

The Bears have already topped these in three games this year!😪😭
please tell me this is a nightmare as of now. I can't believe my bears lost to the cowboys regardless of who didn't play.
Both Prescott and Elliott are good rookies. The bears are starting bad, they're 0 for 3.
No, be serious. The Bears have been bad but not butt fumble bad
Well you can thank Jay Cutler for the first two losses. Cant wait to see his ass go.
Im Derk that same o line? Who will we replace him with?
That last one remains me of when my teammate of basketball shot in the wrong hoop after a rebound... he started crying... I can’t imagine how that guy felt
After that play, the Colts have the nerve to say New England had illegally inflated balls?
Colts never claimed anything. They didn't say shit about deflated balls it was brought into the limelight by the media. Not to mention these are 2 entirely different games
kevin62387 its was the ravens who told the Colts about the deflated balls in the divisional round.
To be honest, that entire game made the deflated ball thing seem ridiculous. After half time, they confirmed that the balls were at the correct inflation and the Colts scored 0 points. They scored 7 points in the entire game! Hell, the Pats scored more in the 2nd half than they did in the first.
kevin62387 wasn't the same game dumbass.
Not if you read the actual Wells report. The NFL essentially set up a pseudo-sting operation after the Colts complained to the league.
"who knows what's going on inside of that helmet"
That killed me and “I don’t know, it’s completely nuts”
Hearing Collinsworth say “uh oh” to the colts play always makes me laugh like a hyena
2:47 the crowd yelling was perfect!
Dan Orlovsky running out of the back of the end zone is a close runner up.
The Guy In The End Gave Him A Hug😂
That was the worst looking "2" font I've ever seen. It looked like a 9 that was born mutilated.
The butt fumble was the play that summed up the Jets in the Rex Ryan era.
awesome!
4 was Oklahoma drill XD
lol
ahhh, good times

Ahh pop warner flashback .
@@zanti4132 a giant fan and I hate the Eagles so yeah I got one stuck in my memory forever

4. Garo’s Gap
3. Wrong Way Marshall
2. Butt Fumble
1. Colts Failed Trickery

The butt fumble 😂😂
As a Patriot fan, once a year I go back watch the butt fumble and LMAO😂😂😂
And how much do you listen : "it s IN ... patriots wins the superbowl... what a comeback" ?
I think I saw the Jim Marshall wrong way play on TV at the time when I was about 10. Obviously it was a major goof, and Jim Marshall took a lot of ribbing for it. He had a good sense of humor about it and even appeared on the game show "I've Got a Secret." And of course, Jim Marshall became a great defensive lineman and was a member of the great "Purple People Eaters" defensive line with the Minnesota Vikings.
