It's based on the real life Super Bowl XXIV in the 1989 season. In that game, John Elway scored a rushing touchdown in the fourth quarter, but Denver still lost the game 55-10.
They also never scored an extra point so it would have actually been 56-6
It's pretty consistent with his fantasy of owning the Denver Broncos.

Not Victorian, but Bart also dressed up like Alex from A Clockwork Orange as well. He's quite well rounded for a bratty slacker.

This has always been one of my favorite scenes, but this is even funnier to me now because of a coworker I had.
