    "I'm the Psycho, you're the freakshow."
    An outward acknowledgement that their shared curse, the spectre of Michael Myers, is just manifesting in different ways.
    Subtle, but powerful piece of exposition.

    Underrated scene and actually great writing and acting. Both are as f*cked up as each other.

    Laurie actually love Corey more than his own mother did because she understands that his spirit is like Michael. Michael actually love Corey too because he saw the evil in him that he used to be when he was a kid, he just didn't talk to him with his voice, he used head movement to speak.

      Michael doesn’t love anything

      @@tayc9542 Exactly I see it more as Michael was just too weak to actually kill anybody hence why he let Cory go.

    • @tayc9542
      @tayc9542 Год назад +3

      @@mysticz9046 It’s also because he saw himself in Corey because if you pay attention Michael moves Corey’s face closer to him and tilts his head while looking in Corey’s eyes. He saw the evil inside of him. But I wasn’t like he loved him or anything so I don’t why that was said. So it’s both technically

      @@tayc9542 yeah because one of the quotes I really paid attention to was she said the more he kills the more he transcends into something impossible to defeat which were only makes sense I mean he took that crazy ass beating and probably just wanted to recover but being out of killing so long he lost all that strength anyway. It is kind of a mess some ways he's Supernatural others he's just a regular dude😂

    • @tayc9542
      @tayc9542 Год назад +1

      @@mysticz9046 I mean Michael isn’t a regular dude, he isn’t supernatural in this time. I know when people hear this they say “Then how did he survive everything in kills” it’s like I said, he isn’t a regular human. He isn’t supernatural in this timeline, he is just a man that is capable of extraordinary things but not supernatural things which makes him not a regular human if you get what I’m saying. Also don’t take what Laurie said in Kills literal “The more he kills, the more he transcends into something else impossible to defeat. *Fear.* people are afraid. That is the true Curse of Michael.” She was talking about the fear he puts over Haddonfield and that fear makes him seem unstoppable to Haddonfield

    This was a bada$$ scene and one of the best in the film. She knows what he is and let's him know and he realizes it's time to make a major move after she leaves. Awesome scene leading into the climax of the film.

    Alot of people say this scene was a hallucination. Another thing to note is when Corey says "you wanna do it or you want me to?"
    You could say hes actually talking to Micheal telepathically using the same line Laurie used when she helped him.

    The way Laurie tried to "help" Cory was very mishandled. She acted just like the rest of the town; not through abuse or prejudice, but the way she tried to fix the void in both Allyson and Cory's life. Laurie knew he was troubled, and yet she went ahead trying to play match maker rather than just getting him help. I get she meant well, but this warning for Allyson's sake was not the healthiest way to confront his inner nature.

      The thing was Corey was possessive and likely knew that it was too late. Even if, she couldn't force Corey to get help or accept her help.

    • @sebastianemond5313
      @sebastianemond5313 Год назад +4

      @@JamaicaZ160R1793010A But again, Laurie still encouraged it. She encouraged him to lash out at the bullies by slashing their tires, and she paired Allyson up with him. Yes, he was troubled and possessive, but she enabled it to happen. She should've either taken him to seek counciling/therapy or just gone on with her business.

      @@sebastianemond5313 Corey was not evil yet. It's not like she saw this coming or knew who he was yet. So many make so much missed calls since they're arrogant or paranoid enough to think that they can figure out someone at first glance when no one is that good. I just said she can't force him to get help so she could take him to cosuneling but he has the right to refuse it as he's not a child. Besides, you saying people should leave things alone if they can't help them is what encourages bystander syndrome and how some even become evil. Besides, that evil in Corey may have come out in one way or another.

    • @sebastianemond5313
      @sebastianemond5313 Год назад +5

      @@JamaicaZ160R1793010A But like you said, she didn't know, so what possessed her to just stick him together with her granddaughter without knowing him fully? I'm not encouraging bystander syndrome, but the way she handled things after she inserted him into her life wasn't as helpful, by just telling him, "Stay the f-k away" or "Allyson's not equipt for a relationship with you" when he asked if he's evil. It was as helpful as the way Obi-Wan failed Anakin in Star Wars. "Only a Sith deals in absolutes." Whaddya call that statement?? An absolute.

      @JamaicaZ160R1793010A Год назад +5

      @@sebastianemond5313 OK. Fair point. That was a blunder on Laurie in hindsight but she did this upon seeing a kindred spirit in Corey. The thing was in the end, Laurie saw his true nature and desired to help him but knew she couldn't force him to get help and knew that Allyson was not mentally healthy to be in a relationship at all let alone with him. It's one thing to acknowledge that Allyson is an adult, but another to ignore an issue that was coming. I guess I'm saying you're right but there's no good way to handle what was going on without being too soft.

    This isn't actually Laurie. This is the last bit of good inside of Corey before he was fully taken by the evil that was inside Michael.
