For those of you wondering why Michael spared the baby, here’s what I read on Pure Evil Wiki: When asked by Cinemablend on why did Michael Myers spare an infant in the 2018 Halloween film, director David Gordon Green disclosed the crew's feelings that in spite of Michael's status as Pure Evil, him sparing the infant was an unexplicably moment of doing the right thing, though Gordon Green admitted himself that he can't justify why Michael took that decision, yet found fascinating that humane moment. If it were confirmed that Michael spared the infant out of pity or because he couldn't bring himself to kill such a defenseless creature, it would strip him of his Pure Evil status. Though this is highly unlikely because he is shown to be very sadistic throughout the trilogy and even in the original film, as he likes to scare his victims and even bring fear into the hearts of those he kills or doesn't kill, and he spares the infant because it cannot be scared, be afraid, or even comprehend him, which is why he is referred to as The Bogeyman because he lives off of other people's fear.
This is my take on it, as well. Infants are completely irrelevant to Michael. They pose no threat, and are incapable of comprehending the boogeyman. Michael let the baby live to potentially grow up to be another victim.
The original Michael was not a random killing machine, but the embodiment of fear and death. He played with Annie, Lynda, Bob and Laurie to instil fear before killing them. And toddlers are not afraid of something abstract like the Boogeyman, so Michael has no interest in them. Just like children have no interest in toddlers - you can't play with them.

One of mu favourite scenes ever, it perfectly encapsulates the entirety of Michael Myers. He is just pure evil, he doesn't "pick" his kills, they are just random, and that's what makes him even scarier.
This is one of my most favorite one takes of any movie. This scene really showed us why we should keep our doors locked at night, and also showed us how stealthy and quiet Michael Myers really is.
This scene is shot so brilliantly. I particularly liked the part where the camera stops following Michael as he enters the last woman’s house but you can see him in the corner creeping along the side. Genius.
Probably my favorite scene in the entire movie from the cinematography, pacing, suspense this really feels like a true sequel to John Carpenter’s classic 1978 film
Well done to James Jude Courtney and the movement choreography team behind him for his performance and movement as Michael Myers. He did such a great job.
I think it's more about how his brain picks targets. The two kids bumped into him at the beginning and he didn't even acknowledge them. Didn't look at them. They didn't exist. He then turns and spots a target and starts going to the shed for the hammer. I think that's one of the scary things about his character. Some of what he does is completely random, and unpredictable. Some targets he stalks basically forever, others are just random people, and others he doesn't even acknowledge.
He’s kinda like a sports hunter in slasher format He kills people who can either run away or fight back because he gets off on the challenge The baby can’t do either of those things

There's too much comedy, which hampers the pace and tone of the film. I watched it in theaters, and every time I was beginning to really get absorbed, someone would say something bizarre and silly. You could tell that it was written by Danny McBride, and not in a good way. All of this, "I got peanut butter on my penis" talk, and, "I want to dance" talk totally marginalized the creepy, stoic tone. I'm not saying that characters can't input their own occasional levity into the scene, but it got ridiculous when it was cops talking about their lunch for a solid 3 minutes. It needed a lot of trimming, because there's nothing wrong with a 90 minute movie. We also didn't get much time to watch Michael stalk anyone, whereas the first film established that he enjoys stalking as much as killing. Furthermore, the teenager subplot with prom and cheating partners felt very shoehorned in, and only done to render the granddaughter without a cell phone. I think this is easily the best Halloween sequel, and the purest rendering of Michael since the first, but it's deeply flawed and often disappointing.
Michael Myers was born in 1957 and he is 6’ 3” tall. The actor who plays Michael in the last three movies, James Jude Courtney, was born in 1957 and he’s 6’ 3” tall. He IS Michael Myers! 🎃
I love how he completely ignores the kids who run into him lol. Even though he must have felt it, he was just hunting for adult prey. There is something so epic about the theme song playing as the camera scrolls up, revealing Michael looking around for prey. ALSO how the kids are first a little peeved, "WHAT THE...?"into "Sorry mister!" His vibe is just so perfect in this. Such a great scene.
It's the casually strolling into the garage grabbing a hammer, strolling into the house, walking into the kitchen stopping look at the lady then do his thing that makes this such a scary scene. He's truly evil
The best character ever create in slasher films history. No one is even close to Michael. Carpenter show us, the real monster in human body. Show us something special. Thank you for everything mr.Carpenter.
One thing i love about this shot is they keep it going with no cuts or stops except the cut after he picked up the hammer but from there it was all in one take. They really did go back to old roots
Favorite scene from the 2018 movie. Reminds me of how in the first Halloween Dr. Loomis is telling Sheriff Brackett, "Death has come to your little town, Sheriff." And then Brackett replies with "Doctor, do you know what Haddonfield is? Families. Children. All lined up in rows up and down these streets. You're telling me they're lined up for a slaughterhouse." This scene shows show Michael was going house to house down the street on his killing spree, possibly implying that more people were getting killed than those shown on screen.

And they released a new teaser I saw it ONLY because I saw it was only another 1 minute teaser, and figured why not, but other than that, NO MORE. It’s really up to you though man. I get that it sucks the fact that studios show the entire movie or important cool scenes in trailers but it’s our fault for watching them. Just don’t watch too much of them.
I bet you Halloween kills is going to have some crazy scenes that ruin the movie because you already saw the trailer... even the first trailer to 2018 was iffy because the closet jump scare would have gotten me but I saw the trailer...
i read that halloween kills has a similar one take scene but this time its in the hospital and he goes room to room killing patients.
I saw the new trailer. They do show 1 kill briefly. It looks awesome, but if you wanna go in completely blind, I wouldn't watch anything until the movie hits.
I actually don't wanna see anymore trailer's, seeing that we have to wait a whole damn year..... They should have put it out this year...
This is easily the best sequence of any of the new movies.
If only they kept it like this. It's the most iconic.
2:35 pause...the fact that the mask still has the hole in the neck part from where lori stabbed him with the sewing needle, in the 1978 film, is great. Amazing attention to detail
Awesome catch!
I remember seeing opening night in a packed theater. Everyone was like "Nooooo NOT THE BABY MIKE! NOT THE BABY!"
What if someone dressed as Jason and just walked up to Mike, breathed heavily for about five seconds and then they both walked around each other.
That would have been so great and Hilarious.
Tyfyucg
I doubt that friday the 13th would exist in the Halloween universe because jason was inspired by the original Halloween film. I'm pretty sure none of the slasher icons do either.
@@nebuli4525 I know, I know it was just a What if.
Well in Michael's world, he doesn't know of a Jason Vorhees, so he would just kill him like anyone else.
00:47 People should stop leaving their Hammers lying around like that.
That doesn't seem very fair.
Yeah cause they know someone could pick it up and kill them with it right?
Or leaving their doors unlocked
@@giftalozie6504 They do live in a place where crime usually doesn't happen tho.
Yeah crime never happened 40 years ago...
I don't get how anyone could not like this movie as a Halloween fan. Its like the perfect sequel to the original!
The music is always classic with Halloween movies. The fact that Michael Myers just walks fast and don't say anything while he's coming after you is one of the creepiest things about him. Love these movies.
Yeah, i love the whole quadigy (i love H2 1981, and like H3, H4, H6 and H20
MICHAEL IS SO EPIC IN THIS MOVIE! Easily the best sequel of the franchise.

I honestly thought in this scene he was actually gonna kill the baby 🥺😂
Dang, at this point I wouldn't even be surprised.
But he didn’t kill a baby, he let the baby live.
It starved
I wonder what was going thru his mind when he stared at the baby.?? Michael of all slasher icons is the most interesting to observe
@Miguel Messina He kills dogs and eats them.
It’s so cute when the little boy says “sorry sir” 😂😂 Michael just stands there
Same thing happned in the original.
I love how at 1:43 the baby stopped crying slightly when Michael appeared and gave him a look, the baby felt comfortable with Michael’s presence clearly
The baby didn't know any better😅
Think Michael was like shhhh stop crying I’m not gonna kill you just go to sleep or he like stop crying it’s night night time go to sleep 😅
This one of the best scenes I've ever seen in a horror movie.
Dude, I remember watching this the first time and thinking, "damn, he's pissed."
Even in the original he didn't go as ruthless.
I think the tow truck driver, Annie, Bob, Lester, and Linda would disagree with you lol.
I think being locked up for 40 years made him pissed.
The upcoming he’s even more piss
I remember everyone in theater saying “you better not touch that baby”.. an sign of relief when he didn’t. This was such a great one shot scene.
Then the realization that he left the baby to starve hits
Nobody surprised when they see a man wearing Michael Myer mask, which means it’s really a popular Halloween mask. He must be a bit proud at this
in the story of the first halloween movie it’s said that he just stole a random mask from a halloween store
@@bennett1426 well he sure liked it If he only used that one
The correct term is the William Shatner mask.
1:43 I love how Michael let the baby live
❤yeah
Maybe he doesn't hurt babies
@@thomasgriffiths768that's not it Michael is pure evil he enjoys the chase or scaring his victims before killing them it gives him strength because he is the Boogeyman the baby has no concept of what Michael is which makes the baby not worth his time killing
Damn that stab through the neck was brutal. Gets me every time!
I think it was more like a surprised shock
Sheriff Bracket: You know what Haddonfield is? Families, houses, all lined up in rows up and down these streets. You're telling me they're lined up for a slaughterhouse.
Dr. Loomis: They could be.
More fancy talk.
It paned out.
0:17 is it just me or anyone else gets their Goosebumps triggered from this moment....
That music and direction!
The fact that they did this in almost one long shot is nothing less than cinematic brilliance. I’m stoked for the next movie
No Mercy..
Michael, Say Something..
Michael: LETS GO CHAMP
Micheal: The fitness gram pacer test is a multi stage Aerobic capacity test that progressively gets more difficult as it continues.
Something
This scene is shot so brilliantly. I particularly liked the part where the camera stops following Michael as he enters the last woman’s house but you can see him in the corner creeping along the side. Genius.
Probably my favorite scene in the entire movie from the cinematography, pacing, suspense this really feels like a true sequel to John Carpenter’s classic 1978 film
Kids in horror movies: basically invincible
Adults: guess I'll just die
Well done to James Jude Courtney and the movement choreography team behind him for his performance and movement as Michael Myers. He did such a great job.
Micheal Myers It's A Murder Halloween. 🎃🔪
1:42 I love how Michael looks at the baby and he’s like “nah, even I got standards.”
Maybe he thought: "well this will be a nice serial killer in the future"
@@niklash5088😂😂😂😂 right
@@RickySpanish12344yea cause he has killed kids
He wasn’t hungry that night
2:16 fun fact those two couple getting in the car are actually the people that dressed up as doctors in Halloween kills
Michael doesn’t kill kids because he himself still feels and sees himself as a child
Michael does kill kids though. I dont think he feels anything tbh, his only goal is to kill as many people as possible.
He killed a kid who was like 12 maybe 24 hours before this scene
At least Michael Myers has something special in his heart when it comes to babies haha
Professionals have standards
He left it to starve
He’s kinda like a sports hunter in slasher format
He kills people who can either run away or fight back because he gets off on the challenge
The baby can’t do either of those things
@@user-hx6gs9rq7u fr just because he didnt stab or shit people assume he has a good heart when it comes to kids
According to the directors, he considered it..
2:35 You can see the needle hole where Laurie stabbed him back in 1978
Nice attention to detail.
This one-shot is the best scene in the whole Blumhouse trilogy.
this scene is amazing. the way they follow him around and the music coming in is perfect
This is one of the best one-shots in horror cinema. I love this movie.
0:34 Michael is very tall. His head almost touches the ceiling
You say that about this Michael imagine when you see the Rob Zombie Michael lol
@@jason85846 this Michael James Courtney 193 cm height
yeah apparently michael is 6 foot 9 which is incredibly tall
@@MNC-78 The original Michael Myers was 5"10 he wasn't ridiculously tall until Rob Zombie made him 7ft in the 2007 remake, He's always been around the 6ft mark which is a little taller than average.

This movie had many flaws, but this particular scene was borderline genius.
Just curious, like what?
Seriously like what
Like what
I just finished loved the scene too
There's too much comedy, which hampers the pace and tone of the film.
It's actually scary how good this scene is.
This scene was better than the entire Halloween Ends movie
The scariest horror villain of all time.
Michael Myers was born in 1957 and he is 6’ 3” tall.
The actor who plays Michael in the last three movies, James Jude Courtney, was born in 1957 and he’s 6’ 3” tall. He IS Michael Myers!
🎃
This scene really makes you think about who you really bump into on the streets at any given time.
He's truly evil
michael is like, Welp it's back to business.
I like how he didn’t kill
The baby shoes he actually has a code to his killing
Be careful tonight, the shape might be lurking...🎃
2:20 No waaaay ! I’ve just noticed that this is actually the couple who goes on a manhunt in Halloween Kills and getting hilarious deaths!
The best character ever create in slasher films history. No one is even close to Michael. Carpenter show us, the real monster in human body. Show us something special. Thank you for everything mr.Carpenter.
This Is One Of My Favorite Scenes From The Movie.
This was made so well! A touch and sort of a homage to the first one where horror movies gave a different kind of shock factor 👏🏻
This movie has virtually NOTHING to do with the original. If you doubt me, go back and watch it....
One thing i love about this shot is they keep it going with no cuts or stops except the cut after he picked up the hammer but from there it was all in one take. They really did go back to old roots
Michael Myers is one of my favorite killers of all of time
The part that makes this so much better is how nonchalant he is about it
What if there is a real life Michael Myers out there lurking somewhere..

Right when the little kids bump into him, and that classic 1978, high-pitch note plays. Goosebumps!
one of the best one shot scenes in horror i’ve ever seen. the camera never cuts from michael once he’s on screen. chilling
0:16 those kids were lucky to be alive. They would’ve got more molded by Michael Myers to Michael Myers. Their faces are clay.

When Michael ignores the child at 0:24 & the baby at 1:44. It looks a little bit peaceful moment.
If only the entire trilogy, or even movie, was as good as this scene.
The way mike ignores the baby shows that hes not a monster just a horrible villain
Mike Myers is on the loose
He’s not a sick monster, he’s a psychopathic and iconic villain 👌🔪🎃
Favorite scene from the 2018 movie. Reminds me of how in the first Halloween Dr. Loomis is telling Sheriff Brackett, "Death has come to your little town, Sheriff." And then Brackett replies with "Doctor, do you know what Haddonfield is? Families. Children. All lined up in rows up and down these streets. You're telling me they're lined up for a slaughterhouse." This scene shows show Michael was going house to house down the street on his killing spree, possibly implying that more people were getting killed than those shown on screen.
Loved how they incorporated the old music from the past movies 👌🏼
Favorite scene especially when the themes score hit .. superb shot
There was something about that kill at the end and then hearing the universal theme immediately after that just made that really funny
