I was SO ,SO, excited to see Halloween 2018 ! Loved it. Little did I know..... a year after if came out, I would be IN Lauries house in the movie, having dinner at the same table her family sat at when Laurie downed a glass of wine in the restaurant , and watching the full movie on a giant screen , at the garage where Michael gets his mask back ! It was so amazing. THEN , I lucked up and managed to be an extra in Halloween Kills ! I was IN the town of Haddonfield, it just didn't feel real to me. It was a dream come true ! Before they tore Lauries house down , we went back to it and got the third step on the front porch stairs and took as a souvenir. 🎃🔪
Halloween (2018) was good but I wished they didn't ignore Halloween II (1981) It didn't make much sense that she was so paranoid over just that one time. I don't mind the "Laurie is Michael Myers Sister" plotline, of course I'm also fine with it being taken it out of the film. Maybe they could've just made that plotline non-canon but kept the rest of the film of Halloween II canon, also should've ignored the films ending and in Halloween Kills (Just like In the start) they should've done something like that where Michael Escapes the hospital and doesn't die!

2018 was a solid year for movies. Deadpool 2, Ready Player One, Tag, Infinity War, and of course, Halloween. It's clear a lot of care went into this movie and it's definitely one of the better horror films in recent memory as a result.

Imagine if all 3 were combined by adding some elements from Kills and Ends in the 2018 movie. Here's this list for example. 1. Have the opening scene of 2018 be the 1978 flashback from Halloween Kills. 2. Introduce Corey in 2018 instead of Halloween Ends. Although, don't actually make him a main lead focus that sidelines both Michael and Laurie. 3. Have Sartain actually die in the bus crash and have Corey takes his role as a secondary antagonist for the rest of the movie. 4. For the ending, have both Michael and Laurie die together while Karen and Allyson escape her burning house. 5. Bring back Tommy Doyle, Lindsey Wallace, Marion Chambers, Lonnie Elam, and Leigh Brackett in 2018 instead of Halloween Kills. Although, don't mess up Tommy's character. 6. After killing Oscar, have Michael actually chase down Allyson.
The kid warned her. You could hear the panic in his voice. She should have listened. I like these last few Halloween movies for what they were. But however I wish they just kept it in the direction of Michael being Laurie's brother. I love the route it went with Halloween h20.
I like that they didn't make Michael and Laurie related. It made Michael into an actual embodiment of evil like we've always been told by Loomis. Him having a target to hunt after always made him less scary. But in this movie he's much more of a threat to EVERYONE. Before he'd kill people because they were just in the way. But here he has no target, no mission, no goal. He just slaughters people at random. Reminds me of Batman on how he makes criminals fear him. Batman could come for you at anytime and anywhere from the shadows, criminals never see him coming. Michael instills the same fear BUT he could go after anyone.... No one is safe....

Halloween 2018 is direct sequel to Halloween 1978 only. They are ignore halloween 2 to to halloween series. H20 is direct sequel to Halloween II.

In retrospect making them siblings was a bad idea. It created storylines but it created too much exposition for Michael and made him less scary.

I was too scared to watch this movie when it came out in 2018.
