You brought smiles to many people visiting our store that day! Thanks so much for dropping by and keeping us in mind to help out with this video. Merry Christmas!
Thanks for being so accommodating!
That store looks awesome
Which location is this?
Pretty cool that Seth Rogan and Sammi G jammed in your store! Guess all Canadians must know eachother.
Wish Steve T was also there
"Can you play Wonderwall?"
"No"
"Here's a free guitar pedal!".
Might have been a bit awkward if he had offered a dude who can proficienctly play decent blues riffs a free guitar course just cos he couldn't play wonderwall
@@bibtebo Slight awkwardness.. we can't have that!
Charlie Sutton true, but he asked the dude who could only play 3 of the 4 basic open chords to play it. He asked the dude’s friend to play a “tasty blues riff”, and dude busted out a pretty simple bend. Not sure I’d call blues man proficiently decent with blues riff, but Wonderwall guy definitely should have gotten the lesson. Hell, everyone should have gotten the course, because it’s a great course for any skill level. Just saying, the dude who botched Wonderwall was Blues man’s friend.
Wonderwall guy seemed like a beginner who was just chilling there with his friend who busted out the simple blues riff. They both should have gotten the course, bc the course is awesome, and will help anyone way more than the pedal. That one dude who was asked to play a riff that would wow Sammy G was obviously really good. I still think everyone should have gotten the course, and the pedal should have required a couple varied challenges, but it’s still so awesome of Sammy G to do that.
“No , What’s wonder wall ??”
“I can play 2112 all five parts . Would that work ?” Lol. Jk.
I think he was making it easy on the guys.
The guy who played a terrible guitar chord was my dad. Guitar he was playing is mine! He gave it to me on christmas. And we share the peddle. Thank you alot guitar samurai!!!!!
Hey everybody!
I just thought I should update the 9+k people who saw my comment. What I said was true. I still have that pedal today. Sadly about a year after that day I gave up on guitar.
I gave up because I was lazy and just wanted to play video games all the time because that’s just how I was when I was younger. I remember that Christmas morning clearly. I found an obviously shaped present that looked like a guitar. I unwrapped it and I found the best guitar in the world! And in my stocking there was my first ever petal. I didn’t know how to use it so I never actually tried it out LOL. But when I think back, guitar was one of the only hobbies I had. It was simple and fun but video games and laziness stopped me from learning it more. Today I’m 15 years old and I have better things to do than waist my life on a screen all day. I’m picking up my guitar to learn it again
I am determined to get good at it and possibly make my own music.
My dad really inspired me to do new things and put effort into it because he had his own band. (Split Rivet incase you want to check it out on Spotify or Apple Music lol) So that’s what I’m going to do, I’m going to pick up my guitar and learn to play “Everlong” by foo fighters. Mostly because Foo Fighters is coming to Winnipeg and I’m going to see them. WOOHOO! Anyways,
Thanks for the guitar pedal I never actually used lol. Now that I think about it I tried it with my dad but there was something screwed up with one of the cords or something.
Thanks for 9.k likes lolz
New acc is Breutzer

Imagine if he ran into a beginner looking for his first. The pressure on that poor dude...
He would've gotten a free guitar course tho! Perfect to start his journey
I think he did with the christmas carol guy
I kept imagining wtf would I have done if this man asks to play something. 😅
That's what the course is for
@@PrakharMaj7 well you could play "something" if you know what I mean
That dude who asked if he could at least give him a hug was soooo precious.

He found the only guitarist in the world who can't play wonderwall
i can't play it either. I'm not a terrible guitarist, but i can't figure out the strum pattern
@@Bloodray19 if you cant figure out the pattern then you are probably a terrible guitarist
@@RafaelEdits thank you very much. I'll go back to cry and play Black Sabbath by Black Sabbath
I can't. I just don't like how it sounds. Not the song itself, but that "riff".
I probably could play Wonderwall, but I don't like the song so I don't bother to try and learn.
Sammy G: here's a distortion pedal
Gives it to a acoustic guitar player...
Turned them into an electric guitar player that day
They still can sell it for 200
I have an acoustic-electric guitar, they could be playing of those..?
Lots of guitar players play both?
I have a pickup that clamps in the sound hole of an acoustic. Then you can plug it into pedals and amps
Is this the musical version of Do A Kickflip
Yes
Tony hawk himself asking random "skateboarders" to kick flip was so epic.
Koston and Sammy G both approve
Yes yes it sounds s

He didn't buy the guitar pedals, just went into the store with a bag and put them in it. So when the “winners“ want to go home happy, boom, they get hit with an alarm signal.

Fuckin legend
Best experience i ever had at a guitar store, i was riffing out and some dude that was playing an amp next to me said "ah hell yea" then he just started soloing over my riffs, thought it was cool cause id never jammed out with another guitarist besides a friend.
Also a few years later my guitarcenter has the bass and guitar amps close enough to have 2 guitarists and a bass player play songs together, me and a friend played 3 or 4 trivium songs with a random bassist, fun times at the guitarcenter
Random person: “breathes”

@@HotStrange same i couldve actually made use of such a coursee

I probably wouldn’t have given an overdrive pedal to someone playing an acoustic guitar in the acoustic guitar section
Free $300 pedal, if he plays electric aswell he can use it, if not he can trade it or sell it. Even if he doesn't play electric I bet he still appreciated it. They are pretty good pedals.
Most guitarists play both acoustic and electric, at least all the ones I know do, myself included.
Soujiro Yoshizawa Can’t disagree with that. I’m primarily on electric, but it doesn’t hurt to learn both as a guitarist.
Eh, still means a free $250 if they decide to resell it.
I play acoustic and I would’ve appreciated the pedal and ive been thinking about learning electric guitar so if I would’ve got’n a pedal it would’ve actually motivated me to buy an electric guitar and try it out

And then we remember they voted for Mr. Blackface.
@@CertifiedSunset Only in ice hockey do Canadians become mean, but off the ice they are incredible humans
I honestly think a large part of why Canadians are seen as nice is because of how sparsely populated Canada is. It's probably easier to get away with being a jerk in a big city, where you can interact with a person once and likely never see them again. Canada's full of small towns, where you're likely to see the same people all the time, so your behaviour has more consequences.
Also, I find the stereotype of Canadians being maple-syrup-drinking ice-hockey-playing polar-bear-riding poutine-eating angels to be really funny, so I do try to live up to it :P
