He really is underapreciated. Also I know hes more known for his raps on gaming but he started out more focused on just rapping whatever was affecting him (like any true artist should.) I think to get to know the artist more, I suggest his history of gaming or the NSA hate this song tracks.
His friends with benefits song is really good.
He did a feature on a rap about dealing with being autistic, called Awe-tistic, and his verse hit so hard. Dude's had some rough times, but he's made some beautiful music out of it.

I cannot put into words what this reaction did to me. I find myself quite annoyed that Dans' raps/music is judged based on his skin colour rather than his talent. Dan is hella good at what he does, but really does seem like he's not appreciated at the level that he should be.
@@Fyralynn ehhhh I think most people who hear him like his music, but it's not something I'd bump in the car, or something I'd actively listen to in my free time. He's cool for sure, but his beat selection combined with his vocal performance isn't the best imo.

Dishonored 2. He applies real politics and the games story to the subject matter and lyrically is rediculous.
The first dishonored rap also holds up super well.

He doesn't even only rap about games, he has a few more serious ones, for example, the hey there NSA. And I think he did a fast rap about nothing much just to see how fast he could go. The man has developed an incredible technical skill with his chosen art form, it's one of the reasons why he is so easy to appreciate no matter what he is gabbling on about.
He has a lot of older political rap.
yeah he has raps about internet culture and politics as well and he has albums that arent directly gaming related either that are very good (safe, face and the garden. check them out!) ive honestly been following him since i was like 11 and i love his stuff

It feels awesome as a long time Dan fan to see another artist really get and enjoy his stuff.
Request wise; Fallout 4 and Dishonored (1 or 2) is just the tip of the iceberg of all his awesome content, but personally; I think "The Last Guardian" is one of my all time favs in general. Lyrically insane and still a more chill style. Underappreciated asf. Highly recommended.
Btw, I think "this makes me want to write" is low key high praise between artists.

I followed Dan Bull for a long time, but I hadn't heard this one. It was pretty wild. I'd say to look through his category and definitely do any rap about a game that you love, because you'll love him doing it.

What I find extra impressive about Dan’s bars is that fact he does raps about games and specific subjects so not only does he write fire bars but they have to all fit in with the subject of the song. There’s rarely any wasted punches from the boy
One advantage Dan gets in this is that an english accent makes a lot of things sound the same. Especially "oo" "ah" and "oh" sounds. Thus, "torque-ing about" and "talking about." becoming homonyms.

Homonym, another way of saying sounds the same. Synonym, Antonym, Homonym. Words with similar meanings, words with opposite meanings, words with the same sound and spelling but different meanings.
He's saying he has a brain for lyrics and homonyms.
It's true that everything rhymes, but it's homophones instead of rhymes because he's saying the same enunciation for the words, but each word has a different meaning. For most of the song he does that, though you're right he does do just as many rhymes. He uses two different meanings of Bridge which is a homonym, two different breaks, brakes and breaks which is a homophone same with burrow and burough, and an actual inside rhyme with underground and "and dig round". The brilliance here.
Good video! DanBull can really get out there and play with it. And these recommendations are showing me I need to relusten to some songs. Throwing a vote in for the Dark Souls 3 rap, though. I like that track.

It's not just his penmanship, which is quite astonishing, but I love how hard he comes down on the line. Like, the way he says it, you know he MEANS it.

When Dave helped Idubbz Content Cop RiceGum, they contacted Dan for an beat which he provided. Then they did the dis without him and Dan felt left out.
