While we can probably all agree that Rambo came in 3rd, you gotta give Peter credit for pulling off a verse like that while doing a solid Stallone impersonation.

They all were 10/10 in character, mad props to all of them for that. I'd say it was about between two 9.5/10s and a 10/10 overall. McClain won 1st while the other two tied for 2nd. I'd also have to give mad props to Peter for making someone like Rambo even able to participate in a rap battle... Rambo wasn't a deep, clever, or articulate speaker.

I thought the same thing until I watched all the movies back to back. Rambo, socially speaking, was a really simple guy. All of his brainpower ended up being tied up in being an epic-level soldier, forged that way from his post-high-school youth all through his adulthood via training and combat experience. That's part of what made him really believable. I'm the only non-veteran in my family that loved that character as much as I do.

McClane came at him like a shotgun. Effective, hard hitting, deadly, but no flash, no style. Wick was like an antique knife, not the hardest hitting but just more impressive and interesting. Rambo was an RPG. Not flash, no precision, but got the job done.

Rambo was my favourite in this despite him being the clear loser. Just such a fun performance done by Peter there and I think they portrayed Rambo perfectly, he also had some pretty nasty lines thrown in there which made it all the better. ERB has been on a hot streak and having such a great battle when it’s the first 3 way free-for-all they’ve ever done was truly impressive.
I agree with Scru’s ranking too, McClane definitely threw the hardest punches. Wick was incredible, would have won most battles if it wasn’t for McClane.
Only other time I can think of where I loved the clear loser of a battle the most was Austin Powers (Ironically another 3 man battle and maybe on a technicality the first 3 man free-for-all they did (Powers didn’t really get to go at both so doesn’t really count in my mind)).
Bond was relentless and beat him in a pure rap battle sense but Powers was just a great performance and was hilarious, Rambo here reminds me of that. Great battle overall.

McClaine was definitely the most disrespectful with his punches. Wick came in smooth and buttery and had a good mix of flexing and punching, but he was a bit more tame with it. Rambo was more humor focused which made it hit that much harder when he got a good swing in, but the impersonation was top notch.
I think the main thing was simply that Rambo and McClane fired more at each other than Wick, who got to take shots at them both pretty equally. Makes it a bit hard to judge since Rambo seems to have the weaker verse, and McClaine's stronger verse doesn't often take enough hits at Wick to say who is the overall winner.
I guess if I had to pick, I'll give it to John.

So, between Wick and McClane, I have to give it to Wick, because McClane was mostly just bashing everyone and being obnoxious, while Wick was a lot more calm, direct, passionate, and lethal. It was like a silent assassin going at an insane soldier rushing straight at you. Wick won.

Actually, Rambo's "I'`ll finish you right in the lobby, mission accomplished" makes it more badass in my opinion. There is nothing more dangerous than an enemy who couldn't care less about legal vs illegal in terms of territorial immunity. I'll be totally honest, if it weren't for the "no fighting on Hotel grounds" rule, John Wick would already have been killed by someone in the first 3 movies. So Rambo's line implication, ie. "I don't give a shit about your high table rules" is more underrated than some of you might think, as Rambo just robbed Wick off of Wick's only physical-space safe zone basically. The only territorial immunity that Wick had from other assassins was the hotel grounds, and now Rambo can more easily attack him and finish him off, that's what Rambo is basically saying.
Also, "why don't you go lock your mouth in a hole in the ground" is a reference to the Knock Knock 2015 movie with Keanu Reeves. Keanu Reeve's was tied up by these two Psycho girls as he was abused by them. So basically McClane is embarrassing Keanu Reeves here, not necessarily the character John Wick as such, but it is still a Don De Marco in that respect and a good movie reference.

Sir, first of all, I love your enthusiasm; that needs to be said before anything else.
Rambo - There were times when his rhythm went off into a ditch; from around 9:38 to around 11:00 I was wondering if I was having a seizure. Still, his best was very good.
McClane - Strong, consistent performance all the way around; also, being first up in a 3-way is high-pressure and deserves recognition. And, though it wasn't strictly a diss, "And lighten up Wick with your brooding saga. How about a little hakuna matata Baba Yaga?"
Wick - IMO this is a clean win and double kill. I appreciate extra literacy in a rap battle and, "Bitcoin? No. Hitcoin? Certainly. I'll put you two in tombs and call it cryptocurrency." and "Those were mujahideen; there's a difference. The Taliban formed in the 90s when you fell off with a vengeance." certainly qualified.

I gotta give the win to John Wick. John McClane came in doing nothing but dissing with almost little to no swagger. Oh yeah McClane came out swinging but when your strategy is to tear your opponents down it ain't gonna fly with me.
John Wick had the smoothest flow, a good ratio of flexes to disses. He also had the longest and most continuous series of bars, rhyme schemes, and disses I have ever seen in any ERB to date. The fact that he was able to hit them both without missing a beat is fire, just absolute destruction. It had word play, it had disses, doubles, triples, you name it it had it.
Honestly I think these 3 represent each side of a rap battle. McClane is when you try to win with nothing but disses and little to no flexing. Rambo is the opposite where he did a LOT of flexing and little dissing. Wick was a good balance between the two.

I see that a lot but I just think that Cryptocurrency currency line just... Felt out of place here and he didn't necessarily earn it. Other than that, I liked John Wick but he also lacked actual disses, so I'd say in that department, it was fairly unbalanced but probably the best flow in the battle but it's like the actual actor, he's very nice and has shown some fancy set of skills, but his actual acting skills... Leave a few things too be desired outside of Bill and Ted. McClain came in firing and didn't stop, like the actual character would do, so I feel all of them were properly represented but honestly it's called a rap battle and if you're lacking in the department where you're tearing your opponent too shreds and just talking about how bad ass you are, that can only go so far. McClain took it for me as I enjoyed his rhyming scheme and the fact that he ripped into everyone quite proficiently while also mentioning that he's bad ass, takes it for me.

I'm still a bit of a novice of understanding rap battle flow, but for me, I'm wondering how much self promoting do you need to do along with punching? Wick did the most self promotion of the 3, while McClane spent the majority of his time trying to bow his way through them. It feels very Wick like for him to take the punches & keep moving like it was nothing, throwing some solid hits back. If a rap battle is dependant on overall most solid hits, the McClane all the way. If you can survive a battle by slipping around the punches & show how much better you are, then Wick takes it.
