It seems like a lot of effort to go to, and then not dress up the blue part of the water bowl. It must be nice having little dogs sometimes - mine drinks almost that waterbottle full a day - her water dish is a 20liter bucket. It seems a little tall to be inside, yet too fragile to be outside. It is a great looking build - I am just calling it out on the ridiculous factor. I guess that I could weld one up similar and run a pump to it and probably put a bird feeder in the top of it somewhere. I really need to build some more Star Wars things.
The blue portion of the water bowl is difficult to paint due to the composite of the material it is made from. Also, it gets wet which additionally would cause problems with the paint. As far as size, it fits really well in their home with high ceilings, so it works. We wanted it to be as accurate as possible hence the size. All in all, the effort is to hopefully show builders techniques and tips for thier projects. Its mostly about the journey . . .
@@TheSmugglersRoom I loved the build, and if it fits inside their house, that is an absolute win. It is a really good video showing how to use househould items in builds that would otherwise end up in landfill.

I encourage "creators" "builder" whatever to go and check out Mike Patey's page as he is in the process of building an aircraft. What has that got to do with creating? Well, he definitely thinks outside the box, designs and builds most of it himself, from welding to making the molds and then building carbon fiber parts. He is a huge encouragement for those of us who trouble getting off their rear ends and doing something because what he is able to build in a few hours after his day job is incredible and will humble the tar out of most.
