Thanks for the comment. I try to overexpose my footage a bit. By about 0.5 stops. That’s seams to get the best colours. But it’s a lovely log profile with lots a room to fix over/under exposed issues. As long as it’s not too far out you should be happy with the results
Been flying only 9 months and just now looking at shooting in D-Log. This was super helpful, thanks! Now, if the weather would calm down a bit, I'll get out there and do some trials. Cheers from Cape Breton Island.
Well explained only here you use 5 shots in a winter landscape! I would prefer to see a colorful image so you can see much better what you have done in terms of color grading.
Great video, very helpful. I do however have to laugh at when you say, "...and I'm going to start right now." And then we sit and wait through your intro and then you telling us about your vacation.
When you looked at the final clip on the scope after pasting your initial corrections and it was way over 100, is that an indication you should have used a stronger ND filter for that shot? It seemed like even after the correction the sky was pretty washed out. Super great info though and thanks for sharing!
Thanks. Very helpful. Question: would the initial color correction step be faster if you you first checked auto within the basic editing tool? Just asking. Would doing this first provide you with a better baseline?
Hey, I got some probs as a rookie. After finishing editing on Premiere Pro and exporting it, why does the footage look rough and get much noise even at the premiere It looks clean? I used the 2.7k footage setting on the drone and worked on sequence 1080. I hope I get your feedback soon, Thanks
Could you please advise if there is a way to extract the video without losing too much quality, given that you have an iPhone 12 Max? I would really appreciate any advice or solutions you might have. Thank you so much for your help!

what do i do when i say for example doing a reveal shot behind trees and then flying up where the sky is bright afff lol???? like where in the clip do i do the scope thing between 10 and 90 do i open this graph on darkest point of my video ( then my sky will be bright as fuk ) or do i do it at the sky...... then the floor is dark af LOL?
The official D-LOG to Rec.709 LUT from DJI doesn't work in Premiere at all, it refuses to load, so I had to use yours. I'm hoping it's roughly the same. Thank you.
Difference between white and highlights Shadows and blacks Why don't u reduce the shadows all the way down instead of playing with both shadows and blacks It seemed to me both options were brining down the lum. Scope down to zero !.. so what's difference between both ?!...
Very nice tutorial! What about exposing for dlog? Do you expose to the right or centered white the instogram?

Cheers dude... very helpful and great presentation...love it that you keep things simple and direct.
That's why such channels are created, filled with tips about movies, i liked it.
Thank you for this, I didn't understand why you would deliberately film with flat setting, now it makes perfect sense with post production¬!
Excellent color grading tutorial. Very explanatory. Perfectly delivered
Glad you think so, Thank you!

When you were shooting in the drone did you overexpose the shots a bit (+1 or +2 stops)?
Is it best to use the rec709 color space that premiere automatically applies to the footage?
THANK YOUUUUUUU
great video brother⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
your timeline is sooo smooth, i cant even use dji air2s footage with proxy files. is there any specific setting for this smooth usable footage?
