I managed to get a 3070 on release at normal price but I was fairly lucky to find one on Amazon at the time. I think there is still a good chance we might be able to get the new cards near launch but who knows. I might get a 4070 depending on how much it ends up going for, could probably still sell off the 3070 for a decent amount.
I just got a 3070 a few days ago. I will make required upgrades to my PC over the coming year or so, to prep it for a 4080/4080ti/4090. For now though, the 3070 will be more than enough for me to be happy.
I think now is a great time to get a 3080. It's an opportunity to buy now. I think its gonna be hard to pick up the next generation for the first 3 months. I think it is gonna be tough to get a 40 series for 9 months after release.
If a nvidia keeps bumping the card tiers by +1 from prevs (2080 ti to 3070 for example) I will just buy a 3080 at discount. Went 2 yrs wo a gpu and no way in hell going to bother waiting that long again.
To behonest that question is a double edge sword if you want take advantage just getting a really good GPU (Rtx 3090TI) for cheaper prise go for it, if you are into a AMD GPU wait for that, or if you dont mind the fact the rtx 4090 draw more power 450 watts and you can afford the price of living going up go for that
To be honest I'm not sure about getting rtx 4090 because amount of power draw 450 watts lot specially with possibly going up to 650 watts, government putting the price of living up
@@JimRPG yep ill way it up see if works me, 600 watts cant be the new normal graphics power consumption nivida will need find better ways make there cards more efficient
I feel Nvidia are hitting it's peak when it comes to technology vs performance. I see the 4000 series as more chips and cores but where is the efficiency, getting hotter and more power is not the answer for the future. I would say the pandemic has changed the way businesses think, less innovation more money it seems. That being said, 3000 series is a great buy. Saw a new 3090 for $1900 aud and just bought myself a used one for $1500 aud. The wait is worth it my gaming friends
Extremely underrated content, I haven't checked out other videos from this channel but, I'm assuming it's gonna be informational and rational

I also use a 3070. It’s been great!

Exactly my thoughts i would have rather got a 2070 in April 2019 than an overpriced 3070 in Jan 2020 and fighting to get one.
No other industry begs for antitrust price fixing investigation than this one
Hi Jim, how are you?
For me it's easy, here in Italy GPUs are still very overpriced so i'm willing to wait.
