I made this for my husband. He loves it and gets compliments every time he wears it I made it gray and grape. Bless his heart, he never wears a coat or sweater, but he is so proud he slides it on when ever there is a chill in the air. He actually keeps it on the back of his computer chair now that it got hot outside. Thank you thank you thank you for giving me the confidence to make my first wearable for him.

Thank you very much for this tutorial. This is the first time I ever tried a cardigan and it came out beautifully. I did one for my daughter but I must confess I went a hook size lower but a size bigger...it worked very well. Your instructions on the doll's cardigan are perfect. Your charts were very helpful. Thanks once again.

Hi Jolie! I love the way this cardigan looks so much! Thank you for designing it! I am a newbie when it comes to crochet, I've gotten pretty good with blankets so I wanted to move onto making a wearable piece for my mother in law (I love her very much and want to show her my appreciation for always being there for me)

    • @auntiedookdook

I have done the swatch twice; both times with a different color 4 weight while using a 6.0 mm hook (15 st. x 8 rows = 4 inches, chain 17, SC in 2nd ch from hook and across chain, then work 8 rows of pattern row 3)
I even had a stitch marker to mark each and every row, it did meet gauge for the width (4 inches) but not for the length (3 1/4) --- what can I do to fix it, or shall I just start crocheting since my stitches meets the length measurements?

Divide it into parts. Like part 1 could be up to row 10 (or before a change in pattern & what you’re comfortable with). Then part two could be the top of the body, part three the sleeves, and part four any border and finishing touches. You can break it down more if needed. I’ve made about 20 cardigans so far. The only tricky part for me is making the body in one piece, but she walks you thru it. I hope this helps!!
