Thanks for your support and your cool review. Horns up!
Thanks for the kickass album.
It’s a brilliant album you guys did a great job!
Thanks for the years of killer tunes & live shows - see you guys SOON!
awesome album! cant wait for the next!
Mister Dekay in a Bolt Thrower long sleeves reviewing an Asphyx album. That alone deserves a massive thumb up.
Where can I get that long sleeve?
WARMASTER!
My favorite piece of this review is HOW MANY sampled bits of the music Daniel included. I truly enjoy the typical Banger TV format with one snippet, but this was really great. Not only did I get some insight on the album, I was able to hear enough of it to form some opinions on what I heard.
Yes, and I liked how he picked clips that were related to the specific points he was making. Seems like a ton of work went into this review
Using clips is tricky with copyright & takedown issues but we're trying to find that happy medium!
I love that you guys have brought back the little clips of the album in between comments, Ive missed that a lot in your newer videos. Keep it up!
100% Unless they have copyright issues with other companies/bands, BangerTV should definitely put that up a lot more often. Not just to spice it up, but also to give us more insight (or is it inhear?) into what they were just talking about.
Definitely! I don't know most albums that are being reviewed here, so it's nice to know what tf they're talking about
The more music added the more copyright strikes we get. Even with one clip we lose $ but we're more concerned with videos being taken down or blocked in most countries. We're taking a risk by adding more, but we are doing so because we love this community and you're worth the risk.
2021 is a hell of a year for great releases like the ones mentioned here.
Oh my is this 2016? I've missed the music cuts in the review, it really makes it so much more immersive. Thanks for bringing them back!

This is Asphyx and BangerTV at its best. Amazing album and a great review. More power to BangerTV. Hell yeah from India. \,,/
Amazing there's Indian old school death metal fans out there! I used to live in Kerala part time. Never met an Indian metal head! But I was also living ashram life singing bhajan lol!
Now that is one sick shirt Daniel. Asphyx - the band made for headbanging. Great review dude. Everyone take note of the shout outs Baest are awesome.
Love this channel. Really missing old school lock horns tho. The chalk board sessions were really the best. Keep up the great work
Van druen....one of the best death metal vocalist out there...
Mr. Hustler
His voice is so fucking gnarly, perfect fit for the music.
Pestilence Consuming Impulse. Hell yeah
I agree. His growls always sound so anguished. I've always thought Autopsy, Asphyx, and Obituary were the three bands that had vocalists with voices that best embody the spirit of pain, death, and horror.
@@rnp474 I saw the spiritual healing tour....pestilence....obituary and death... heaviest show still to this date....
Dude your reviews are by far the best on the channel. You don't waste time and your scores always seem fit to what you have said. Please do more of this...
Excellent review! I appreciate how you have featured bits of several songs because I really feel as though I understand this album about as well as a review could provide. I will buy it. Thanks!
Relly digging this review format where more MUSIC is shown. Really didn’t understand when a only brief snippet is shown at the beginning of each review then the comments are all without any additional sonic examples. It’s easier for us to grasp you guys thought process this way, and it makes for a far more enjoyable experience.
That's how they did it in the past, but you know how RUclips likes to fuck with DMCA.
It was RUclips’s doing. I think they demonetize vids that have copyrighted music over a certain length. May have finally said fuck it or got an exception from YT for review purposes.

YES!! I was wondering when this review was coming. Asphyx kicks ass!
Great to have more clips in a review like this thanks. Really makes a difference
Amazing review as always. \m/ from São Paulo, Brazil.
It’s a 5/5 for me. Might end up being my album if the year. So far it’s between this,´ and the new Ad Nauseam record, but I’m definitely leaning toward Asphyx. Guess I’ll have to wait til King Diamond and Gojira release new music to be sure
One of the best albums I've ever heard. Didn't expect it to grab me because I was put off by the vocals at first but they grew on me big time. Top notch work and a great start to the year. 🤘
Still, after all these years, Mr. vanDrunen has still one of the most antisocial voices in metal. A true master of this art. The record is good, not on the level of the last couple of records but still better than most of what calls itself old-school Death Metal these days. Not even Husky on the drums manages to undermine that :-)
Will check this record out, I'm liking what I'm hearing. Also big ups to the Riley Gale tribute with his picture in the background, gone but not forgotten.
Awesome review.
Continue to show more of the tracks, it is great.
You nailed it with how you described the mixing of styles these guys do on this album. I think of it as melodic death + speedy doom - but then they still break genre and formulate their own unique sound.
GREAT review Daniel, one of the best Banger reviews I've watched! Very entertaining and informative the whole way through
Thanks for watching!
Nice trick Deekay. You knew how to pronounce Necroceros from the beginning. Great review. Loved it. My all time favourite Asphyx song will always be Deathhammer.
Also we see Riley's image in the background.
Solid review. Love some quality death doom, especially from these legends. Little Canadian connection: the tank featured in The Nameless Elite is a Canadian Sherman called 'Athena'. She's on display in Ortona, Italy.
Really thorough review. Good job.
Fuck yeah! Thanks for figuring out the sound clip situation!!
Good review. Very informative and entertaining.
Definitely on my top 10 albums of this year so far excellent album cheers dekay 🤘🍻✊
So glad you have song extracts back. Let's hope the gods of RUclips don't take them from us again.
fingers crossed!!!
Necrosaurus is one hell of a band name!
Excellent review ... hits all of the important points about the album. One of the best albums of the year to date.
Really jealous of Dekays Bolt Thrower longsleeve, killer shirt. Great review!
haha thanks dude
His shirt is sick! Testament Souls Of Black is still my favorite Album of all time.
Ive noticed a lot of people in youtube metal vids wearing crispy new bolt thrower longsleeves lately. Assuming they are bootlegs, they are high quality.
@@kurruptsage Yes, they’re all bootlegs. Very well done however like you said.
Bolt Thrower t-shirts and patches are like fucking gold in the metal merch scene. I want your connections, Daniel!
Asphyx fucking rules. The Rack + Last One on Earth are 2 of my favourite OSDM albums for a good reason and their 2000s and 2010s albums have been pretty consistent. MVD + caveman riffs FTW!
Also, the line about mashed potatoes was the best analogy I've ever heard. Major props.
I love the album it kicks ass! Thanks for the cool review 👍👍🤘🤘
How does one "ass fix" exactly?
This is a class album, their live stream show was awesome last month to support it 🤘
YOOOO DANIEL, LOVE YOUR BOLT THROWER SHIRT
I like that you never give 5/5
i review from the perspective that 5/5 perfection doesn't really exist - nor is it what artists are trying to accomplish when making a record. if master of puppets is a 4.9999999 i'm cool with never giving a 5. thanks for noticing haha.
I always say Last One on Earth is one the heaviest albums I ever heard in my life. For the band to create something on par with that almost 30 years later is fucking unreal.
My favourite Death metal album ever. It has everything, fast thrashing (Bismark) and slow groovy stuff (title track) and everything is aligned perfectly. Even the raw belt grinder guitar tone is perfect for the songs, a different cleaner production would not have had the same effect.
OMG dude. We need more revs with the amount of sound samples you have there. Please Banger TV.
The more music added the more copyright strikes we get. Even with one clip we lose $ but we're more concerned with videos being taken down or blocked in most countries. We're taking a risk by adding more, but we are doing so because we love this community and you're worth the risk.
@@BangerTV its a shame they re more concerned in lawsuits than them labels/bands music being promoted for free. All the love and power for Banger TV
New Asphyx album rules. D. D. love the Bolt Thrower shirt. Very classic
Still have the original of that long sleeve Bolt Thrower tee with the Earache label moniker on the sleeves.Been at the back of my cupboard forgotten for at least 25 years.Bought it with the album when it was released in 1991.
I just stared at a Bolt Thrower logo for 15 minutes. I think Im going top dream about it tonight.
Love the Bolt Thrower Warmaster long sleeve!!
Fantastic review, however I can’t help but notice over the years the lack of Zao coverage? I believe a new album is coming out soon.
Really cool Hail of Bullets, I mean Asphyx, review.
Fuck yeah, straight out of Twente, NL! Saw their album presentation show livestream, absolutely sick \m/
One of the best banger reviewers, alongside Blayne. Top notch tee, as well.
Thanks for watching!
This album will most definitely end up in my top 3. It f*cking bangs 🤘
Health workers really are the troops of this era.
Damn this is brutal! Epic death doom.
Going to be difficult for anyone to top this album, easily in my top 5 so far and predictably will still be by the end of the year. Love that inhaling style of vocals in the same vein as Obituary and Death. Also, DD nailed it when he pointed out how varied this album is, it's quite complete in that sense.
You guys need to review BAEST! Necrosapien is a banger for sure!
YES!
Is that Riley in the background? Damn, now I'm sad again... Great Review, will be Top 3 of the year!
RILEY GALE FOREVER.
Mr.D K I wanna start checking out Bolt thrower were do I start.
I love this album so much it is by far my favourite record from Asphyx.
Killer sick fkn shirt!!!! My favorite Bolt Thrower album!!!! Earache mail order?
Nope, it’s a bootleg from last year.
Baest I’m pretty sure is pronounced Beast. I think. However it’s pronounced, awesome death metal.
Martin really is a professional
Dekay, can you review Power to the People by Poison? Some classics on there.
POGGERZ
I love checking owoat your shout owoats
There is a riff in one of the songs can't remember the name that utilizes the exact dame riff in Skullcrusher from overkill's the year of decay album
Oh fuck. This is brutal 🤘🏽
Love your takes Delay! But, if I may, take a risk dude, give something a rating besides a 4 - a 4.5 or 3.5 would vary it up!
Originally, I wasnt going to listen to this album, but now I'm gonna actually go back and revisit the discography. I've had a strange relationship with Asphyx, I love a couple of albums, dont mind another couple and missed many altogether.
🤘🤘🤘🤘
Disc just arrived today. Been locked up, so I'm a bit late.
I love his early vocals on malleus -fast, forceful, and with just enough rasp. I hear you on the repetitiveness. A touch more force in his vocals - he’s on the cusp.
overkill unearthed Vulgar display of power with dekay or overkill rewind 1994 with dekay?
The lyrics are very sick!!!
this album is amazing start to finish man first asphyx way back in halloween 2009 no joke my first ever asphyx album was death the brutal way i would give it 10 out of 10 great death metal album to start off 2021 have been a huge asphyx fan for 12 years now no joke or lie i own last on earth but the 2006 reissue on cd and i also have incoming death on cd both asphyx cds i have had in beteween since 2014 and 2016 i have also seen asphyx live in london at the london underworld in 2017 on the incoming death european tour and met martin van drunen at brutal assault open air in 2014 in czech republic and saw his other old school death metal band hail of bullets at czech republic opening for my dying bride .
Great album!
Brutal🤘💀😀
Thumbs up just for the long sleeve alone.
great album :)
1:37 correct way ;) 1:45 and this one, I believe just split it in two and it work's at least for me XD
Anyway love this album, they certainly know how to make a decent death metal.
New Evile - Hell Unleashed it is a yes on my want list, btw did You know hat there will be a Mortician - Zombie Apocalypse cover on this albumXD , love that track so hell yeah!! \m/
Well it's time to give 'Necroceros' as spin! XD
Incoming death cool too
Three Years of Famine... No words
0:54 first time to see Tomas Haake signing
Asphyx is number One for me ...
Hail Old School...
FUCK YEAH
No mention of the first riff in Three Years of Famine to be basically taken 1:1 from Overkill? I wonder if that's an homage or (un)intentional copying.
I've yet to see a single reviewer mention this. It's bizarre.
Can't unhear that now
Lmao as zif he had a hard time figuring out the pronunciation when it’s screamed in the album XD
Yay Bolt Thrower!
Yup. BAMF record. They’ve been on a tear for a while and their last 3 records are some of their best.
5/5 for the reviewer mentioning the first two Pestilence albums
had to
i’m not a big death metal fan, but this sounds good
When an album Review of Angelus Apatrida from Spain? They have just released the best thrash metal album this year. Check it out!
Great great classick band , unbelievable none original members , ASPHYX definitely kicks asssss.... no doubt!!!
They definitely will need a pulmonary doctor followed by ENT specialist later.
I need to re-listen to this. While I like the record it just feels like another Asphyx trudging through the bloody snow and skull stomps with caveman riffs. That is great, was just not in the mindset I think to enjoy this one fully. Generally repeated or similar riffs are everywhere in deathdoom, it kinda comes with the genre. Slow, dumb pounding riffage with some flashiness tossed in for good measure, but the guitar / bass never bother me on an Asphyx record. Also, the jerky drums where they always speed up and slow down are a point of critique for some. While it can be a little jarring sometimes, it adds to the feel for me. But whatever. Will give this one another spin.
Great review.
Gojira are awesome. So ready for Fortitude.
Keep it metal. eh bud?
Bolt thrower shirt and Asphyx. And shout outs to Evile and Gojira Unless there are some people out there doing something completely mind blowing and we just haven't heard them yet.... Nobody is going to hold up the 2020s as a decade that was important for the evolution of extreme metal...... Watching and reading top lists for last year, I realized that the old bands and the revival bands keep extreme music alive nowadays. And nothing is changing that opinion so far this year.... Maybe its the industry. Maybe the genre mixing has gone off the rails. I don't see any new genre defining bands popping up anytime soon. Being classic or worshiping it is the safest bet if you want to get your record heard these days. But that's fine by me. I have listened to mostly old bands the last couple of years. And I am far from fed up. Got this two weeks ago. It has been played daily.
the best death metal band by far!!!!!!! Amazing new cd !!!!
It is an amazing record and I love it, but I am surprised no one has noticed the similarities in "Three Years of Famine" with Overkill's "Skullkrusher" and Metallica's "To Live Is To Die". Tribute or accident?
I can't unhear this now
🔥💀ASPHYX💀🔥
🤘🏻🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏻💣💥🇳🇱
Botox Implosion is too sexy for its own good
