Thanks for the review. I just bought a tubemeister 18 head and to me it adds an evh type sound my orange rocker32 didnt have or hot rod deluxe 3. Do you find the tm18 clean and lead tones are the same in the grandmeister series but with extra channels, effects, and saving tones option?

I did actually use the TM18 for years! Phenomenal amp
I believe the gain structure was refined for the GM36 after the original Tubemeister series - it's definitely more than the same amp with some effects in. The newer Tubemeister 20/40 would like be more comparable. I did have the 40 for a while and it's a massive improvement over the old TM18/36 series.

    excellent playing technique. How is
    and what is mic ?
seems the headset mic is omni and If so, then the proximity to the guitar colors the amp sound. The Demo and back story of the Amp is very Informative and very helpful. if it attracts cats then you know you're on to something 😏

Thanks! The mic is a Rode NT-1 Black Edition about 2 inches back from the mesh, position roughly in the centre of the V-30. I did my best to edit out the headset sound but some of it was so persistent and didn't show up as a soundwave in the editing software I definitely think I missed a fair bit if you can hear it.
