I guess I didn't realize you weren't closer to rosens rating. You do a lot of in depth opening explanations with multiple different line options which I find extremely useful and it portrays you as a very high rating player. Although as well when first watching Eric's speedruns I assumed by the way he played he was on par with magnus carlsen as far as rating goes. In my opinion you two are the best chess teaching channels. I do feel you go a bit more in depth on different possible lines which I enjoy and need. While the speedrun provides seeing how Eric analyzes games and calculates. With some opening explanation as well but your focus on the different possibilities and explaining all the way to mating ideas is awesome. I hope you two do more content together

Why isn't the time visible on the chess up board screen though? How are they playing a game but that little screen looks like it's on a game select menu?
Does the board actually know what piece it is? Or does it just know that something is there. Judging by how there's problems with promoting to a queen, it seems to me that the board doesn't know.
I backed this in Kickstarter and should be getting delivery this month I think. I had also backed the Square off boards back in 2018 and 2019, but I sold all of those off after the hugely disappointing "Gen 2" Square Off boards. Sold the Kingdom, Neo, Swap boards, but I still have the roll able Pro board
I like the fact the Chessup board registers a move only after letting go of the piece. With my Chessnut air I sometimes move my room and the board registers only one step, instead of the full move. Mostly this leads to losing the game
The board usually shows the clock when you play a chess.com opponent. We sent a challenge and started the game through the app, so the time was shown there (and then later interposed in the video). Hopefully they’ll come out with a software update that will show the clock on the board’s display regardless of how the game is started.
Oh man, I keep seeing ads for this, this is fun! I haven't checked out ASMRChess, but I'm definitely adding him to my list of relaxing chess content to fall asleep to.
Hey Eric i have a question about the chess up 2 board: lets assume that we have player one and plyer two both players are using their chess up 2 board to play against each other now lets say that player one in now premoting his pawn but he decided to under promote to a rook how does player two know that player one under promoted ? And to what piece ?
I wanted to stream the two videos together, but this has too many jumps. It's 20 minutes shorter than ASMRChess's video. Eric, any chance you can post an unlisted version of the video without the jumps?
Sir, I purchased chessup2 & see no point in using it. Cheap tiny plastic pieces, annoying lights- I can move pieces without lights on my dumb wood board. Pieces fall over, no weight, all look alike. Chestnut is nice wood, better learning tools too. Am I missing something? BTW Thank you for getting me back into playing. Love your style of play & teaching
couldnt you just play this on the phone with someone without spending 250$. just call them and make moves via phone communication. pretty sure the phone bill wont go that high

You could dirty flag someone playing on a chessup board by under promoting. They wouldn’t know what piece to put there.

@@NoNamer123456789 the board has piece ID. It not only knows what piece it is, but it has unique identifiers for every individual piece.

I believe any piece can substitute for another piece, so I’m not sure that would work.

I went for Chessnut EVO. Pricier, but have had it for a year and it's been great.
