    Wow, washing machines have really gotten fancy and complicated! Honestly, I like my simple, easy washer and dryer. I like the agitator in my top loader washer. I dread the day I have to replace them. They are almost 25 yrs old.
    11:48 😂🤣👍 that's hilarious!!! I had to replay that section because I was laughing! Then came along the spotless leopard and the Folder! Too funny!

      I just saw that I missed your comment! Just like you, I enjoy the simple, easy washers and dryers too! They seem to do a better job, break down less often, and are much easier to repair. Glad to hear you enjoyed the video and the jokes! As usual, thank you for stopping by and leaving a comment. May God bless you and yours!

    Jay, my friend this is the cleanest DIY video of all time. Just want to say this word of advice. Because I did this. Never leave a bottle of Calgon water softener on top of your Dryer. If you do this and you do not rinse the cap, any small amount that drips down on the dryer surface will react like a paint stripper. I now have a dryer surface to repaint. Sometimes we learn from our mistakes. I use Calgon because we have hard water, and if not cleaned will leave mineral deposits. So I pass along what I learn to help others for those who do not read the labels on products. I might have avoided this if I had read the label. 🥸

      Thank you sir! And wow, I bet that came as a surprise! Thank you for the warning. And I only agree that reading the label/instructions/manual can save people a lot of trouble. Thank you for stopping by for the new video, have a wonderful new week!! God bless you and yours!

    Just a heads up after working with washing machines for many years, You should never use more than a tablespoon of any liquid detergent that you put into a HE Machine. Extra detergent produces extra bacteria in your machine, and the detergent companies want you to buy as much as possible. You don’t need very much detergent with high-efficiency machines. It’s also very important to clean your washing machine every month. If you have a little filter that unscrews and a drain tube below your front loader machine door, You should empty that water out and clean that screw in filter also. Those are prevalent on LG, Samsung and a few other front loading washing machines. Good video . Great information.

      It seemed incredulous that so little HE detergent could get a full load clean. So I tried it, with the intention of upping the dose if it didn't work. I still haven't found an instance in the last 8 years where I needed to use more than a tablespoon.
      I'll disagree with the content creator about all detergents being equal, because I've found non-enzyme detergents to be ineffective on certain stains.

    Nice job Jay. Informative as always. I think I'll run a Sanitize cycle for the first time ever as soon as I get some of those sanitize thingers.

    Hot water fill on my machine uses straight hot water - - - - - BUT ONLY for the first 30-40 sec then switches to a luke warm setting. The only way to get a hot water wash is to close the cold water inlet. Thx for doing this and sharing. 👍👍👍👍👍

    Ont loader machines leaves less residue than liquid detergent. I run hot cycle white load with bleach as my last load on wash day. No more stinky washer. Great advise about the coin trap filter beneath the drum. This is not evwn mentioned in my Whirlpool HE4 Insteuctions.

    On my Kenmore I always use quick wash, I can make it longer as normal, but most machines will add cold water to hot only to make it only 105F. Quick wash doesn't do that on mine.

    I never use the delicate or permanent press cycles. A mesh laundry bag works wonders in protecting delicate garments in a normal cycle.

    The he washers are crap. I have a cousin Whirlpool to your model. Not enough water. Had clothes come out partly dry after a full wash cycle. Deep water setting does nothing. Only selecting the 'bulk items' cycle will fill the wash tub. I am convinced softener goes straight to the drain instead to the clothes. Carry on.

    Why some people used powdered detergent instead of liquid? Because it is a wash.

    • @hermanchow1405
      @hermanchow1405 11 месяцев назад +3

      Powder has been there for decades , before the 70‘s yes with bubbles ( the best by all manufacturers) , then 2020’s no buddies ( claim the best by all detergent manufacturers) , now a day liquid detergent is the best ( claimed by all detergent manufacturers) , tomorrow sonic is (will be) the best , then in the future , paper “ made “ clothes are recyclable , no need to wash , just replaced !

    TIP: I tried every control option on my new he washing machine, mandated by the state of CA, fun, not, and it still would not fill up the drum with water to actually get my clothes all the way wet, during wash or rinse cycles.
    Then, a friend told me this secret - the newer washers weigh the load to determine how much water to add. So, if you get your clothes wet first, by spritzing them with a hose from a nearby laundry sink, or by dousing them with a gallon of water from a bottle, they will weigh more, fool the machine into thinking you have a lot more clothes, and it will fill that drum up and really get your clothes wet and clean. I tried it, and yup, it now fills all the way up and the clothes get washed for real. I don't have a wash sink next to my machines, so my husband installed an extra hose split from the water line with a nice nozzle on it that is really super and stops the water completely when I'm not using it. Yup, I am cheating and using enough water to actually clean my clothes.
