- I continue my journeys around Shropshire's old railways with a journey from Bridgnorth to Kidderminster. Unlike my other journeys on disused lines this section of course is a world famous heritage line. My interest is more in the route and what it offers rather than individual trains. I stop at each station to see what it offers and what makes it unique. In this first of two parts I travel to Hampton Loade and Highly to look at what makes the SVR stand out.
I'm really enjoying your videos. It's just like having a day out.

What a great presentation video.Very professional looking.
Country park halt station was built on the site of Alveley colliery which the halt is here but the collier isn’t possibly demolished
Very nice by this man Holden to know about what engines does he know and who will own the seven valley railway now
The model locos are 16 mm scale. O gauge track.
The other halt which used to be here was Alveley half and that halt is no longer here
Having visited the Highley engine shed, it is truly a hideous building. It is neither in keeping with the era of the railway or to the surounding countryside.
+Akela Dont agree whatsoever with this comment, this is an excellent modern facility . The views from the upstairs cafe balcony are superb as is the display of locomotives downstairs. What would you put in its place ,a filthy greasy floored old engine shed which todays health and safety laws would prohibit from any visitor access ??
Highley only ever had one platform.
Highley only has had one platform
indeed it is tom highley does have one platform whilst the others have two platforms
Some very simple research could make these videos even better. It’s not difficult!
