I had a brand new 2008 as my first bike, traded it after realizing I was too young for it. I'm so so ready for another one. My 500F will hold me over.
Fair play for taking the sensible option, you should definitely get another one! 👍
@@FrontWheelUp it's very high on my priority list.
Re gear the bike. I did a -1 front sprocket and +2 rear sprocket on my 08 cbr600rr. It makes the low end much more usable. It does drop max mph to 148ish but worth it.
Great review mate. Looking at one of these for my first big bike.
Thank you for the kind words. Would happily reccomend the 600RR for your first big bike. Loads of fun, bags of power (but not so much that its a handful). Enjoy 👍👍
During the riding portion of this dude sounded like Robin Williams
Back from the dead to review bikes
Top man for stopping for the horse…. No need to make able the racket around them 👍
Very good rider review for buyers of CBRR 600's
This color scheme is awesome, you almost never see it I feel. I have the exact same one, and the sexy af looks was partly why I got it :)
An excellent choice!! 👌👌
Really good review 😁👍
Thanks!
Thanks for your honest review and opinion of the 600RR, it gave me the confidence to get out and buy one, i'm short in the leg (32") but your comment gave me the confidence to buy me a big bike. I've been looking at the maintenance vids, I have to change the chain and sprockets on my new bike (2007) but would it be benifical to remove the rear swing arm have it coated and re grease it. Would you have any videos for that, as looking about it seems as tho the job requires specialist tools?
Thank you for the kind words, its a privilege to know the review helped you in your next bike choice (and a great choice it is!)
I sadly don't have a video on the swing arm maintenance though it is something I might be interested in putting together, as you said I dont think there's any specialist tools that's really needed. Im getting ready to start a restoration build on the channel but maybe once that's done I'll see if there's some more involved stuff to do with the CBR.
Enjoy the bike! 👍
Started watching the video and thought I recognised them roads, I'm from Barrow as well lol
Haha there you go! They always say no matter where in the world you go you always find someone with connections to Barrow!
@@FrontWheelUp 😂 that is true
Hello! Enjoyed your review very much. Do those rims come with the red stripe from the factory or this is post factory modification?
Thanks for the kind words, the rim stickers are after market and aren't available as a standard option. 👍
I live in broughton beck and watched and realises you were in barrow in Furness I love that road beautiful bike mate but on the coast road be careful they drive like nobheads
Haha small world! There's actually been a few people local to the area that have stumbled on the channel. Thanks for stopping by 👍👍
It's light, nimble, power is great . Not comfortable for comutting. If you think you're save on gas with it. You won't! Overall I have 2009 model and I love my bike It's my first. I would recommend Dunlop q3plus tires . With some minor changes bike can be really good.
Mirrors sucks and they shake at higher speed OEM ones. It's hard to work on them as honda makes everything complicated. If you have some mechanical experience you should be fine. Parts are pretty expensive. But bike itself ain't cheap.
Agree with everything you've said there, its a cracking little bike. I did a bit of work on the bike featured during our summer lockdown, you can find the videos on the channel if you need any help. 👍
❤️❤️🥰
Hi Jorge! I'm assuming from your username your a big 600RR fan! Be sure to check out my 600RR overhaul series for lots of maintenance tutorial videos.
Thanks for stopping by. 👍
You said about this bike everything I wanted to hear about it lol just sad that doesn’t have a slipper clutch. Trying to decide between gsxr 600 and cbr600rr. Any advice?
I would favour the CBR personally, though I've got nothing against the gsxr it's a fantastic bike 👍
What a beautiful looking bike 😎😎
It really is, Honda hit the nail in the head didn't they ✌️
@@FrontWheelUp er yea its cool as fook 😎😎🏍
Beautiful scenery. Where in UK?
Cumbria, North West England
How tall are you m8 ?I'm 6ft I felt cramped of the gsx6,it seems thay are geared a bit low ,front cog swap,I'm chasing the double
Sorry for the late reply. I'm around 5"10, I do feel abit cramped on the CBR too...there isn't a whole lot of leg room.
What year did he start come with electronic steering control
07
What’s the best gears and rev range for city commute ?
The CBR is very happy at most rpm around town, the power is all in the top end so keep the revs low. It's a great bike, but if your looking for something for exclusively city riding there are more comfortable and economic alternatives.
Hi I have the same bike as you but I have a horrible bouncing feeling fornt end at high speed I duno if its tyres surpention sterring damper or bearings
Process of elimination is all I can suggest. Check the wheel itself for damage, perhaps it has a small buckle that's enough to cause the feedback?
Hi, I'm looking at buying a CBR600RR. Why is the review spanning 2007-2012 when you clearly say that 2007-2008 is the one people want due to more power? Is a 2013 model better with the improved suspension? Thank you
The 07-12 is fundamentally the same bike, the engine was retuned in 2009 but a change to emissions rules actually means it made less power. 09 onwards also have a slightly different fairing and feature ABS. Fairly minor changes but the bones of the bike remained the same.
I cant comment on a 2013 model as I haven't had the opportunity to ride one yet.
@@FrontWheelUp ok, I was led to believe that ABS was an option, & most didn't have it because it increased weight quite a lot.
Reading up on power, torque & weight etc, they seem to be separated more from 2007-2008 & then 2013-2021 being better than 2009-2012, but still.a bit confusing.
Gasoline consuption per 100km?
Not sure exactly but you will get approximately 200 km from a full tank (120ish miles)
Let me fix the sound dude I'll help u remake the vid
Cheers for the offer, but I think I've nailed it now in my more recent videos. Each video is a little better than the last, its been a big learning curve! If time allows then I may refilm the older ones, but for now I'm trying to focus on sourcing new bikes to review. Thanks!
Hello
Hi 👋
I from Vietnam
Just under 150 kilograms 🤣 what are you smoking?
Haha. If I recall the dry weight is approx 155kg, 185ish kg with fluids. Can't recall what I said in the video. Under 150 kg wet would be hellish good fun though!
Hello mate great review. Only thing I disagree is the weight. I’m might be wrong but the 2007-8 model is bit lighter but claiming something around 170-180kg lighter than the other models also more power and revs to 15000 a bit more than the other models.
Also these are the reasons I am going one of these 2007-8 model.
Thanks for the kind words! I actually now own the one featured in the video, fantastic bike 👌
