Douglas Fairbanks Jr. was so well educated, appropriate, perfect mannered: a real gentleman. Carol Burnett was a living sparkle of witness and creative energy. They were an ideal match of splendid persons. Enjoyable,
@@richrol58 I was alluding to how he imaginatively framed his clue for the word within the context of ‘pulling together’. As opposed to the other meaning as you described it, which is (on the face of it) obvious.
It.. Never Fails to Oddify me how a team can plow through the regular season here and then hit a mine field in the Lighting round... ..🤨🤔😐🤨🤔🤨🤔🤔🤔 Very Odd..
The second contestant was driving me crazy. Instead of looking at Carol, to help her with clues, she kept looking to her right. Carol helps by somewhat acting out the clues...🥴
*I've had the 'Hots' for Carol since I was 11-going-on 12, and Elizabeth Montgomery* ( I like Carol more, though) ( *Carol's daughter was so beautiful she was breathtaking* )
It's a hard dig...but I can place Carol Burnett in Dallas 1963. As per zap film. Wearing the same long red coat she wore in meeting JFK with Judy Garland. Carol Burnett / Jean hill.
I would have loved to see her onstage! She was in Calamity Jane that year, right? I saw The Unsinkable Molly Brown, on tour. Think it was a year before that.
Everytime they get the word hysteria, no one says the one clue that'd get it every time: woman. almost everyone knows where hysterics comes from, and if you just say "crazed" over and over, that doesn't quit signal the right word. sad they were so cowardly even back then to dare offend the coddled secs.
Who said old tv was dead, can't get enough of this !
🎉
Carol Burnett is a National Treasure. What a delight this episode was. People kind, intelligent, humorous. Thanks for sharing.
I look for every time Carol plays. I love when she gets so excited!

very.
Wee! Let’s make him president of the world: he’s appropriate!😅
Carol is so funny and charismatic. Always enjoy watching her on Password.
I sure love me some Carol Burnett. Both of them are so classy, classic, and charming. I miss the days of real talent, and beauty.
Carol is a joy to watch playing Password! My favorite. 👏👍👍♥️🙂
The last guy-having that much fun with Carol Burnett is worth losing 100 dollars!😆
Douglas Fairbanks is very intelligent !!!!
21:55 - oh how times have changed since the sixties :)
Yep. Not even a snicker from the audience. I guess crotch massagers were not yet in use then.
One of the first questions they must ask contestants is "Would you be nervous playing with...(Douglas Fairbanks, for example)...?
(Absolutely) LOVE it When Both Teams/"Couples" go back to back Tens.. ,! 👏👏👏
👏👏👏👏👏
😊😊
Just 11 days before Allen married Betty White !!!!
“Magnetic” was an inspired clue for “Attractive” from Douglas.
"Pretty??"

Yes, it was brilliant.
My God how times have changed. "Vibrator" didn't even get a chuckle.
Thank you!
Carol Burnett's second partner is now a well-known Washington, DC, journalist
How do you spell her last name?
Bruce Hillberry “Matusow”
The U.N. guard??

Very Odd..
Cocktail LOLOL Douglas
Was I the only one that thought Carol's second partner looked like Carol??
i thought she looked a lot like liza minnelli.
i thought she looked a lot like liza minnelli.
That do look a little bit alike from the side or profile and sometimes when they smiled. I see Liza Minnelli too slightly.
How was Fairbanks supposed to give a clue for 'gardenia' - what an impossible word for lightning round. Flower / Corsage / Cheap MAY have done it.
"Blue"...
I agree with "corsage", or even "lapel".
The second contestant was driving me crazy. Instead
of looking at Carol, to help her with clues, she kept looking to her right. Carol helps by somewhat acting out the clues...🥴
Yes and then she goes "Wiggle has that been said before?" Hello...YES

and Gerry's thinking "Gardenia - what kind of a stupid word is that" - a bit unfair if I may say so....
the only one of the password that has my 2
Is that Carol's real hair or a wig !!!!????
Probably a wig. They were so popular then.
@@susanb2015 : that's what I was thinking 🤔 too ; thanks for letting me know !!!!
Contestants get cheated on this show.
why is the right contestant chair (as viewed) the marriage question chair?
okay millennial
A good clue for hysteria could be "mania" -> "uterus," but only if your partner is a bit knowledgeable on medical history.
13:39 cooch? 😰😱
"CORNFLAKES!"
Fairbanks's partner is having difficulty getting the words out properly.
Gary wasn't a very good player. Carol gave good clues. Maybe he was too young?

*Every time
after a few clues, one might have said "mass" as a clue, because "mass hysteria" was a phrase at that time
