Dude. No joke i have an 83 f150 short bed single cab 2wd 302 that i've been working on and you just COMPLETELY did the same exhaust set up i'm doing on mine lol except i have equal length 1 5/8" headers for a mustang not hedmans. But the rest is IDENTICAL. 3 inch all the way with the same magnaflow mufflers, an x pipe and side exits. i wanna use resonated tips though. But all in all i'm happy i'm not the only one that likes that look and sound!
In that case, you just got a taste of what it will sound like haha. I really like the way it sounds and straight through mufflers are the way to go for free flow.
I put 3" glass packs and hedman shortys on my 289 66 mustang. I did dual pipes and it sounds way better than having a crossover there. You can actually hear the different sides firing at idle. But your truck still sounds pretty sweet!
@@Edwin3912 thanks man. I'm about to wrap a set of hedman 89270. I bought two rolls of fifty and extra steel zip ties, alone with a primer to go one before wrap and silicon paint to go onto the wrap. Thanks again
You have a nice rig, so installing the headers was easy to do? I have some headers I want to install on my 302 but no shops want to do it? I was going to do it myself
Now you can build an engine to fit the exhaust flow....super sweet truck for sure.
Yeah I plan to do it and thank you
Nice truck! I like the improvement, it sound awesome!
Thanks! It sounds even better now that I got rid of the 2 barrel carburetor.

@@Edwin3912 i agree. nice throaty sound with little to no cackle and a quiet idle
Exhaust seems to have some “bark” to it 🤔
Haha I need to talk to Magnaflow about that
Beautiful truck
Thank you!

Thanks. It’s all about what type of sound you’re trying to achieve.
That is exhaust art work , nice !!
Thank you
Sounds great
I have a 75 f150 you gave me some ideas
Thanks! I really like the way it sounds
I didn't see the expansion sleeves installed...
Yeah, there just wasn’t enough space for them.
Tick tick tick tick
I’d do way smaller muffler like neighbors haters or or a straight threw design. Loud and proud
Those do sound pretty good. I don’t want it any louder than how it is though and these are straight through mufflers
How many rolls for header wrap did you use?
I’m pretty sure it was 1 per header.

@ No problem!
Sweet truck! Love the wheels. Can you give me some info on them?
Thanks! And I don’t know much about them other than that they’re oem 19” Mustang wheels and they are really light. Found them on FB Marketplace
@For a Thrill They look good on it. I'm watching for a similar deal. Lol
Thanks, and you just need to look consistently haha
I have a 77 with an implanted 69 360.
trying to figure out if the headers that fit the 69 will install into the space I have on the 77
You can look up some headers for a 69 on summit racing and it will tell you what years it works on under applications.
@@Edwin3912 I found these Flowtech 12540FLT they are on the cheap side as far as paint goes but I think I'll give them a try.
you didn't go with the flex pipes
No, there was ‘t enough room for them
Can't I get in the way of the starter to put the headers ???, I have a 351 w
The starter needs to come out
Do you have a part number for your headers?
89150
Which Hedman Headers are they? I have a 77' F150 with 351w, 5.8l, 2wd.
The part number is 89150 but the ones for the 351 are different
Would those headers fit a 86 f250 302?
I don’t know but you can check on summit racing by going to applications on the product’s page
I hate sound of open headers sounds good with a low mellow rumble
Would these headers fit a 73 f100 with a 351w ?
They will not, these are for a 302
please fix the lifter tick
I already did. I made a video swapping the engine.
@@Edwin3912 ruclips.net/video/OMi0NdrR1Wg/видео.html im looking to do something like this to my 77 f 150 AKA Big Gurl your truck is nice man
@@israelmoreno3620 I definitely recommend it. Don’t use these mufflers if you want something on the louder side though and thanks!
What kind of headers are they?
Long tube headers

Thanks, and no it wasn’t hard. However this truck has a Crown Victoria front conversion so I can’t say for a stock truck.
Mines all stock and headers are shorties. Where u find the extension pieces?
Are you talking about the header flanges? They came with the headers and shorties should be easier
Is the truck automatic or manual? Looking for headers that won’t get in the way of the clutch zbar for my 65 with a t18 mounted to a 302
This one is automatic
Your truck sounds like a pit bull
Right? Haha
I have a f250 with a 400 Gona do the same gangsta
Nice! I hope you like it
brah... that dog was annoying af
