60's-70's ford trucks+ headers= fenderwell headers. It's all I run an they save your starter, plus their actually easier to install.
I almost feel like that’s an old wives tale. My starter was touching my headers for 2 decades on my 400sbc still works fine
Correct, and in this truck there's at least 3/4" clearance for the starter. Had to run the wire a different route but probably should have even with the original manifold honestly.

I remember they tried to get lubricant on exhaust manifold bolts on finnegans garage a bunch of different ways and nothing worked. I have some way too nice ceramic coated long tube headers for my truck as well but the ac compressor mounts to it so I’ve been procrastinating that train wreck lol! Nice job
Headers is no joke man! The newer vehicles would be even worse. I can't even imagine attempting it on some vehicles.

If you think this is tight, install long tube headers on an 65/66 mustang 😅😅😅
Getting a good set of quality headers can save you a lot of headaches
I'm actually hoping that a Mustang is one of my future projects. Hopefully sooner than later actually!
