Is it treated better now than it was 25 years ago? This was installed on our house 26 years ago, and we painted it several times. The bottom two feet is completely rotted and needs to be replaced. We live in Central Texas which is a dry climate. Wondering what we should do.
I see this was a year ago, but it depends on what your last LP siding was, if it was the "inner seal" brand that was leftover or if it was the new stuff. Make sure your contractor (or you, if you're doing it yourself) pays close attention to the install instructions, I know up here in SD they say to keep it 6" away from the ground so we put PVC board (water table) below it to help keep it dry on the bottoms, and bought pre-painted through Menards.
I purchased 4 4 x 8 sheets of this at Lowe's. It has a gray primer on it. It will be my garage siding.
What is the Average board Cost per Sq ft and availability in dimensions not mention. .

So much better technology than 26 (28 years ago)
Should I buy 3/8s or 7/16
3/8" is standard. The only reason I would see you to install 7/16" is if you're going directly over the studs and there's no wall sheeting.
Is this product available in Dallas Texas what brand is it and price per sq foot?
