My oldest daughter suggested I listen to this video, and that's when I fell in love with the beautiful voices of Home Free. How Great Thou Art holds a special place in my heart as not only was it sung at my grandma's and grandpa's funerals, but also at my mom's and dad's funerals. I am a subscriber, and appreciate the comments you give not only for HF, but Roy Clark, Abbott & Costello, the Monkees, and, well, any that you have done.
This is one of the few times you'll hear Adam Rupp (beatboxer and go-founder) actually sing a few lines, solo. Adam's wearing the ponytail. You can watch the behind-the-scenes video of the making of this particular video, Home Free-From the Vault-Episode 8 ("How Great Thou Art"). You may want to give a listen to Oh Holy Night, Amazing Grace (with Peter Hollens), Brothers in Arms, My Church, God Bless the USA (with Lee Greenwood), the list goes on forever!!
Several things...first, this was filmed in Austria. Then, no beat boxing in this; Adam sang with the group. If you like this, try "Go Rest High on that Mountain" or "Amazing Grace". They do Christian songs, but their music covers many genres, from Country to pop to Oldies to patriotic. Even R & B (Check out "End of the Road"). Each one is multi-talented. Your comment about God bringing them together is something I have thought many times. They are special. They also write their own stuff (Check out "What's Left of My Heart"). Believe me, if you react to more Home Free, your subs will increase.
I agree that they were brought together by God - and even though they don’t take about it, they do so much good and firmly believe in the value of each of Gods creation.
I heard them sing this live at a concert and it was amazing. I’ve been to four concerts and may go to another this winter. I can’t get enough of them. They are truly honest good men with God given talents and I think you will grow to love them more and more as you get to know them and their music. Thanks for your reaction
There are lots of live videos (taken by audience members) including one called "Home Free Kearny". The concert had been cancelled due to a thunderstorm and audience members had taken shelter from it. Rather than disappoint them, the band walked through the rain, stood on a picnic table and - without mics, amps, etc. - sang How Great Thou Art accompanied by thunder, lightning and flickering lights. Yeah - they can do it live.
Another "Home Fry". Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole. They have a number of Christmas hymns as well as an amazing cover of Amazing Grace with Peter Hollens. They cover a wide range of genres while leaning toward country. Two of the group, Austin Brown and Rob Lundquist, the two tenors, even sing opera, Nessun Dorma. You have a treat ahead of as you travel down this particular rabbit hole.
Well not necessarily a "Christian Oriented" but the are not shy about their beliefs. They also have covers like DOWN TO THE HONKYTONK and an original like DIVE BAR SAINTS. But they are genuinely a very wholesome group, and stand for causes they believe in. But 99% of the time they just make dang AWESOME MUSIC, and most of the time it's true acapella like this one. NO INSTRUMENTS except their voices. Check out their cover of Dire Straits 1984 classic, Brothers in Arms...it's their masterpiece
This was filmed in the same area of the Austrian Alps where they filmed the movie "The Sound of Music". They have a great song called "My Church". Also, "In the Blood", "O Holy Night", "Full of Cheer", "Champagne Taste", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "Crazy". The list goes on and on. Great reaction.
There's no such thing as a bad Home Free song. They are spectacularly talented, cover a whole range of different musical styles, can make you laugh and cry and sometimes both in the same video. I'm not religious but I can see the beauty in this. Try any of their videos and the Home Fries will come running. And they sound as good live as they do in the studio.
They are not a "gospel" group, but they ARE good human beings that take social situations very seriously...they care about their fans, they love reactors and often comment on reactions. They are great people and of course, voices of angels. They have great individual talents as well...for instance, Rob (beard) and Austin (high tenor) did a video on Austin's channel of trying to sing Opera....Tim Foust has a love for Doo-Wop and has released his own work...Austin has his own channel with many covers and songs. Tim and friends can be booked for your own backyard party...they are just an amazing group of humble and super talented guys.
There is a huge difference between just singing songs and then singing to God! This is a beautiful hymn we sing in church all the time! "Then I shall bow in humble adoration..." is so key to understanding who Almighty God is and who we are! It's not about the scenery, although beautiful, it's all about the Creator Almighty God! Please react to Brothers In Arms! You are also one of the few that didn't pause during this I thank you for that. Also this hymn deserves reverence not beat boxing!
Adam Rupp, who usually does the beatboxing for this group was able to add the 5th harmony part this time since he wasn't beatboxing. His additional harmony is always a treat. These guys have been singing together for a long time. The last change in the lineup was 6 years ago and all the others were working together for 4 years before that. There is a 7-part history of Home Free on the solo channel of Chris Rupp, who co-founded the group with his brother Adam. You might want to check those out, too. They take you up to about 2016 when Chris left the group to focus on his solo career. He was replaced by Adam Chance (called "Chance" to avoid confusion with Adam Rupp). You might want to go back to their Season 4 The Sing-Off performances. You can find them all on RUclips. I recommend the videos that include the judges' comments. Their Christmas music is also amazing. You might want to consider some of it for your Christmas reactions this year.
I think this is one of the best versions of this song. Tim's bass really carries the song. I just found Home Free 2 years ago & love these 5 talented guys. And the scenery is awesome filmed in the beautiful Austrian Alps (my dad comes from that area).
Really so beautifully sung in such a wonderful background (Austrian Alps) I've heard the song so many times, but this one is still my favorite. A few months ago I showed this to my mother (84) who is way religious. Now she regularly asks if I want to put it on. She herself has passed it on to her church community so that she can show it and hear it at church one day. All those beautiful different voices, but still one. Such great harmony. And of course so nice to hear Adam Rupp sing even if it is short. ..Yes, Home Free can do this too. It touches you deep in your heart and soul. Gives you shivers.
OK, 2nd video and no explanation of the giant jar of Hellman's Mayonnaise sitting on your shoulder? What gives? Loved both HF reactions I've just now seen, looking forward to more. I have followed followed them since 2013. They just keep getting better and more innovative with every year. All the sounds you hear are produced without the use of instruments. Their songs cover all the genre with finesse, including Opera. You are in for a wild ride if you choose to buy the ticket. The fun is just beginning.
This was in the Austrian Alps during their world tour which came to an abrupt end due to Covid. I'm sure it was done in a studio, but there's a video where they sing this without microphones...stick with this group and they will come (Home Fries, I mean). I appreciated your reaction...these guys consider themselves the world's only country vocal band, but OMG they can do so well with many genres: comedy Butts Medley and their bits called Story Time with Tim; R&B cover of Boyz2Men End of the Road, inspirational Go Rest High on That Mountain, Amazing Grace; purely sensational Brothers in Arms, When a Man Loves a Woman, cover of Keith Urban's Blue Ain't Your Color... you simply can't go wrong. Welcome to the Home Free Rabbit Hole, an incredible journey!
Check "Home Free the vault, How Great Thou Art" to watch as they filmed this video in Austria. It's amazing. The biggest reason, beyond their amazing talent, is how wholesome, loving, kind, respectful and just downright nice these guys are, plus they have wicked senses of humor. No matter what genre they do they touch your heart like no other group can. I start and end my day with Home Free.
I’m a new subscriber. These guys are phenomenal no matter what genre they sing. I have seen them live 3 times and they are fun, inspirational and act like a family. If you ever have a chance to see them in person, do so. You won’t be disappointed.
Congrats! You've found the group that brings me to tears when singing like this and when they're goofing off. Check out the 'Butts Remix' and THEN Austin and Rob (the two tenors in this song) sing ing 'Nessun Dorma'. Those watching reactors need some laughs, too, when we see your reactions.
This is just the most beautiful vocal harmonies ever! I just subbed for more Home Free! All their videos are awesome....so just pick one that interests you...because all us fans (the HomeFries) have seen them all many times!
As said before. They are not a christian oriented group. They are a country-acapella-group from the start but they can sing any type of style. And as someone wrote - they dont do covers. To really hear and appreciate Tim Foust's deep bass voice check out Peter Hollens and Tim Foust version of "Misty Mountains" and 5 octave range I recommend "Your Man" . Adam Rupp is an award winning beat boxer and vocal percussionist. He has a few videos out of his drum solo but is so much more. Check them out. Also Austin Brown did an outstanding job on the old song "When A Man Loves A Woman" which was done during quarantine with each member recording themselves at their respective homes.
We Home Fries (Home Free fans) love our reactors. As others find out you are reacting to them, you will probably get more subs. If you plan to react to more of their music, you might want to set up a playlist for them so others can find their music easily on your channel.
This is an a capella group, so there was no “music”, meaning instruments. For a range of their music, they have some beautiful Christmas Christian songs (check out Mary Did You Know), soul (End of the Road), classic country (Ring of Fire), issue-based (Don’t Laugh at Me for October’s national anti-bullying month) and on and on.
Thank you for reacting! This is incredible with pure perfect harmony! Each member is equally talented and are such wonderful kind hearted gentlemen, awesome human beings! I can't hardly wait for you to dive down the humongous rabbit hole of Home Free (200+ videos)) you will never want to get out! New sub, here for the journey! I suggest you checking out "GO REST HIGH ON THAT MOUNTAIN" "END OF THE ROAD" " TAKE ME HOME COUNTRY ROADS" " WHAT'S LEFT OF MY HEART'" original written by Tim Foust the basso profundo of the band with a 5 octave range! He has long black hair in some videos but during the pandemic he had it cut short and let's his grey streaks show now. "THE DRIVER" That will get you started for now! I'm sure you will get many from all of the Home Fry's! God bless you! Sending love from South Georgia!♥️😃🍟
Home Fry here, will be subbing today since you said you're going to do more Home Free. Welcome to the family, we absolutely adore these amazing men. I've seen them 3 times so far this year, & have tickets for two more times, they never disappoint. 🍟❤️🍟
OMG! I just stumbled on to your channel. You could be my dads twin!! You look just like he did when he was young!! Hair, eyes, ears!! 😍 great reaction too!! Blessings to you!!
Home Free is a country a Acapella group. They also believe in God and sing some beautiful Christmas songs and they are extremely patriotic. Absolutely love each one. Check out What's Left of My Heart
You don't need someone to request a song. You can just pick anyone of their songs and it will be good. They always bring their A=game with their videos as well as their songs.
There is a live version where a concert was rained out and they went into an overhang area with their fans to give them at least one song...and they sang this....no mics, nothing...just their voices...and it sounded fantastic. ruclips.net/video/SoVFPvp8Vh4/видео.html
This is a great version for sure but if you want to be blown away check out the Carrie Underwood version with Vince Gill. Truly mind blowing. Another great Home Free cover is Brother great song and fun video.
I love Home Free. They are a country acapella band and not a chrisian one. This was filmed in the Austrian alps when they where there on consert and found this place. I think they said that it took the video team 18 houers to come to that place from USA! Thats dedication. Know you have to watch this version do to following... Home Free Kearney, MO How Great Thou Art 6.17.2017 Complete Recording This video is very special. This outdoor consert was canseld after 3 songs do to rein and thunderstorm. A lot of the fans stayed in a pavilion to waty oute the storm. I have never heard of any other artist doing what they did. They walked up a hill in rein and thunder...placed them self on a campingtabel. Told them this consert whas canceld but that they gonna sing 1 song moor unpluggde. And look at there in the lyric the lamp flickers! Chris Rupp hade lefte the band last year so here is it Adam Chance that replacet him. ruclips.net/video/SoVFPvp8Vh4/видео.html
They do a lot of fun songs too! “The Butts Remix”, “Sea Shanty Medley”, “Man of Constant Sorrow”! Get to see Adam Rupp do his UNBELIEVABLE beat boxing! He was world champion! Super cool
Home Free is EPIC!
They are fantastic. Praise God!
My oldest daughter suggested I listen to this video, and that's when I fell in love with the beautiful voices of Home Free. I absolutely love Homefree, They bless us with their beautiful harmonies
they are the music
More Home Free please! I’m a proud Home Fry and can’t get enough of these guys.
Amen!
Home Free are the best acapella group. Their Beat Boxer sang in this song, but he is by far the best Beat Boxer out there! Love your reaction!
This is one of the few times you'll hear Adam Rupp (beatboxer and go-founder) actually sing a few lines, solo. Adam's wearing the ponytail. I agree that they were brought together by God - and even though they don’t take about it, they do so much good and firmly believe in the value of each of Gods creation.
I was thinking Rockies but I’m wrong. Thank you!
Absolutely beautiful ❤

Saw you appreciated Adam Rupp’s “No-Monica”. Check out their cover of Huey Lewis’ “Workin for a Living’. There’s an extended solo.
My FAVORITE A-Capella Group!! EVERYTHING they do is gold!! 🥰🎶
Praise The LORD, this is one of those timeless songs that will live until the end of time.
Ohhhh my lord Jesus this touched my soul. Bless them all the lord is good

For their comedic side, you must check out The Butts Medley and Honey I’m Good
While you’re at it, check out Champagne Taste on a Beer Budget.
I totally agree with you!
This was the greatest rendition of this beautiful song
Attack of the Home Fries! 🤣🤣 Home Free is the greatest group ever, that's why you've been swarmed. 😉 we LOVE new reactors to Home Free. 🥰🥰
Absolute truth, the Home Fries love this group of amazing musicians!! 🍟
Well not necessarily a "Christian Oriented" but the are not shy about their beliefs. They also have covers like DOWN TO THE HONKYTONK and an original like DIVE BAR SAINTS. Other great songs: Hillbilly Bone, Butts Medley, Country Fried Pop Medley, Brother, In the Blood, Folsom Prison Blues, My Church (my favorite!).
Loved your reaction especially loved your comments ❤️ God Bless ✌️ ❤️🙏
This was filmed in the same area of the Austrian Alps where they filmed the movie "The Sound of Music". They have a great song called "My Church". Also, "In the Blood", "O Holy Night", "Full of Cheer", "Champagne Taste", "Blue Ain't Your Color", "Crazy". The list goes on and on. Great reaction.
Beautiful venue and genius to build a little church there.
Filmed in the Alps while they were on tour in Austria, near where the Sound of Music was filmed. Home Free fans are called Home Fries.
So beautiful. Religious or not, the scenery, beautiful voices, and reflection on life are sure to move you.
I stumbled onto these guys about 5 years ago. The shock value on what they do never ends.
When you think there can be no more, think again.
They are not a "gospel" group, but they ARE good human beings that take social situations very seriously...they care about their fans, they love reactors and often comment on reactions. Christmas is coming; you're gonna be blown away when you get to their Christmas covers, and originals.
Cant wait I love Christmas!!
Much obliged for mentioning the aspects of this song and it's meaning beyond just it's performance. Glory, honor and praise to He who is worthy of it!
I think this is one of the best versions of this song. Tim's bass really carries the song. I just found Home Free 2 years ago & love these 5 talented guys. And the scenery is awesome filmed in the beautiful Austrian Alps (my dad comes from that area).

More, more, more Home Free….more, more, more Marcelito Pomoy! 😄 Thanks! 🙏🏼👍
There are several versions of Home Free performing this live. Take a listen to one of them and you will still be impressed and moved to tears.
OK, 2nd video and no explanation of the giant jar of Hellman's Mayonnaise sitting on your shoulder? What gives? Loved both HF reactions I've just now seen, looking forward to more. These are some of the most perfect, tight harmonies you’ll hear. They’re known for them
I hope you react to their cover 'Brothers in Arms" and "Brother". They also did a fantastic job on the song "Mary Did You Know".
This was in the Austrian Alps during their world tour which came to an abrupt end due to Covid. Don’t miss “Helplessly Hoping” (CSN classic) by them. It’s pure perfection.
They have done this live in concert...and yes they do it beautifully!🎶🎶💕
Check "Home Free the vault, How Great Thou Art" to watch as they filmed this video in Austria. It's amazing. The biggest reason, beyond their amazing talent, is how wholesome, loving, kind, respectful and just downright nice these guys are, plus they have wicked senses of humor. No matter what genre they do they touch your heart like no other group can. I start and end my day with Home Free.
That's episode 8. I just checked and after watching this reaction I'm going to back to the Vault and enjoy my morning.
Yes, I like to end with 'Dreamer'.
I’m a new subscriber. These guys are phenomenal no matter what genre they sing. I have seen them live 3 times and they are fun, inspirational and act like a family. If you ever have a chance to see them in person, do so. You won’t be disappointed.
this was the song that got me to be a fan, i've seen Home Free live 5 times now, they are awesome!
Congrats! You've found the group that brings me to tears when singing like this and when they're goofing off. Check out the 'Butts Remix' and THEN Austin and Rob (the two tenors in this song) sing ing 'Nessun Dorma'. Those watching reactors need some laughs, too, when we see your reactions.
The location is AMAZING AS WELL AS THE ARRANGEMENT AND SINGING
They really are good people. Love all there music. Great reaction
This was my second Home Free song I heard also.
Michael, the first time I was introduced to the group was listening to O HOLY NIGHT. Like this it is awesome.
They do upgrades. Often - if not always - they make a better version of the original.
This song is a swedish song/hymn from the beguinning. "O store Gud". Written in 1885 by Carl Boberg and was done in english in 1949 by an english missionary named Stuart K Hine.
And this version is the best I've heard so far.
Start pumpin out some more Home Free........ NO PRESSURE! 🤣🤣
Seriously tho nice reaction ❤️🏠🍟
Thanks Ruth!!!! And will do ahahha 😆😆
@@michaelwduffy 🥰
This is the best version of this song. Filmed in the Alps. These guys are amazing.💗😊💗
Home Free sings many genres and are amazing in all of them. To keep the Christian theme going, you should check out their "Mary Did You Know"..
Nice reaction, glad you enjoy Home Free!
My favorite version of this song! Thanks Michael! 🖤🍟
Another new sub in hopes of more Home Free! Just go through their discography and pick anything you want....they are all soooo good
We Home Fries (Home Free fans) love our reactors. As others find out you are reacting to them, you will probably get more subs. If you plan to react to more of their music, you might want to set up a playlist for them so others can find their music easily on your channel.
The mayonaise jar behind your head was the best part of your reaction!
Not really a Christian-oriented group, but a group open to making beautiful music of all kinds without bias.
There is a behind the scenes video of them filming this. Check it out. Great reaction. More Home Free please.
Amen 🇺🇸🇺🇸✝️✝️
Loved the reaction ...😀😀
I am a fairly new Home Fry, and I am enjoying this rabbit hole myself. I liked your reaction and have subbed to hear more from Home Free! Good job.
Butt Remix is a must & fun video. Shows their sense of humor.

AMAZING VOCALS
There is a live version where a concert was rained out and they went into an overhang area with their fans to give them at least one song...and they sang this....no mics, nothing...just their voices...and it sounded fantastic. ruclips.net/video/SoVFPvp8Vh4/видео.html
They are also very patriotic. Check out their video for “Brother,” another Christian song. These guys can’t do a bad song.
Thank you for the wonderful reaction, it is so appreciated! I hit subscribe for Home Free and look forward to more.🤗❤️
They filmed this while on tour in Europe. They are in the Swiss Alps... not far from where Sound of Music was filmed.
Just subscribed for more Home Free
Welcome to the Home Fries
