Hi, I’m a new home fry, I was suffering horrible depression and I have spent the last four days going down the Home Free rabbit hole, thank you for the joy you all have brought me! You guys are my new favorite band!
I cannot tell you how much I laughed at this. My brother and his family lived in Duluth, MN for many years. They finally moved south (to SW Michigan). They are always telling us how WARM it is here. LOL. It has been about 40 here for several days, people are out jogging, grilling, riding bikes. We'll have folks heading to the beaches soon. Glad you had fun, Tim. Next time, you need to have Rob or Adam head to Texas in mid July. Get the opposite end of the spectrum. LOL
Yes, July/August around Galveston. I was there during that time once. 119f on my dash temp. Thought I could just take my pocket knife out and cut me a slice of that humidity. It was thick.
My wife says that too and has offered to keep him warm if he gets stranded in Illinois...the key is an electric mattress pad...easy Tim, she is married. lol
It's true. The only poisonous critters we have here are timber rattlesnakes (they live along the Mississippi River bluffs in southern MN where it's slightly warmer) and brown recluse spiders. Nothing else can survive, but what we mean by that is it kills off a lot of germs, too. We're actually healthier because of the cold.
This has to be my favorite HAFH video! “I’ve made a huge mistake” 😆 Love Tim’s sense of humor! Captains log is almost as awesome as the hot tub snow angel. Have watched this several times - Tim+winter=I know this was gonna be a hit! 💛🎶💛
Just a note about the tubing...goes to prove it's never too late to have a happy childhood. Good on you, Tim. You're almost qualified as a hardy northerner.
Tim has the timing of a comic genius. I hope there's an album someday of Story time with Tim. I'd pay double what I normally spend on a Home Free album. Triple if it was charity.
Grew up in Montana, currently live in Colorado. We're waiting for 20+ inches of snow in March. Kept laughing through the whole video and about fell out of my chair laughing during the hot tub snow angel. Tim deserves a medal for that one. 😁 Thank you for the laughter and smiles.
All of our snow here in MN had melted, but then you Coloradans went and sent it our way. Now we have snow on the ground again. Of course, we didn't just get 12 FEET of it, like you guys did. ☃☃☃
The 4 seasons of MN are as follows: Pre-winter (average above 0*f), Winter (average around -35*/-40*f) Sprinmer (also known as mosquito season) and Summtumn (about 3 weeks in August where going outside melts your face. Greens melt off the trees).
That was awesome. Tim: "I have made a mistake." 🤣 as a southerner and a Texan, I concur. Love watching yall goofballing and having a good time. Cant wait for the next one. ❤️

One of the funniest I've seen. I love Tim's sense of humor with his Captain's Logs and his first time experiences in the Midwestern Winter. That Hot Tub Snow Angel is going to be one of the funniest I've seen.
4:30. What do you mea n you didn't miss seasons in California. We have like twelve of them: Winter, Fool's Spring, 2nd Winter, Spring of Deception, 3rd Winter, Road Construction, Actual Spring, Summer, Fire, False Fall, 2nd Summer, and Actual Fall.
Wait, you have winter? 'Must be in Northern California. Southern California has hoodie weather and shorts weather. Sometimes wear hoodies with the shorts. That's about it.
As a Californian I can confirm these seasons! Although I'd call Road Construction more of a weather event that can strike at any time of year, often without much warning. And I'd add Orange Sky of Impending Doom after Fire.

East Moline, Illinois, United Township Highschool If it was 40, you were in shorts in gym class, and playing outside. Seriously. 1970-1974. Yeah. We did that. Great video guys. Love Home-Free.
Tim has perfect timing for comedy! This was hilarious! He's just so cute!❤ I agree with him though....I live in Nashville and can't understand why anyone would willingly live above the Mason Dixon line in the winter. They should all just come down here for a visit. And when it's 100° here in the south in August, we will go visit them. A whole nation of snowbirds😊🐝❤
Coming from an old boy from the state line of North and South Carolina, right on the coast north of Myrtle Beach, SC, I feel your pain. My first duty station in the Army was in upstate New York where I spent 18 months lol
So much fun to see a fellow Texan in real snow. Holy guacamole, a frozen Tim making a snow angel and manages to make it back to the hot tub. Thanks for showing us Minnesota in the winter. The sledding does look really cool. :)
I’m from Maine, I once dated a woman from Wisconsin...it didn’t end well, but the best thing I gained from that experience....she introduced me to cheese curds. Fried cheese curds amazing!!!!
This has to be one of the funniest things I've ever seen! LOL! I feel for you Tim. BTW- I think Adam pulled a fast one on you. I noticed he didn't get out and do the Angel thing with you. LOL! I grew up on Northern Ohio, but got out after the blizzard of 1978. Been living in east central Fl ever since, and only been back in the winter twice, and that's only to attend a funeral. First time we flew out we left 82 degree weather. When we landed it was snowing like crazy and was 12 degrees. Talk about shock! Second time was even worse, 89 degrees here and landed 2 hours later we were in 12 inches of snow and -12 degrees. Couldn't get back to Fl. fast enough. Haven't been back since.
Pamela Hello how are you thank you for the comment support and love I really appreciate your time as well kindly write me on adamchancefavour@gmail.com
Absolutely love this! 😂😂😂 You should try coming a little further to Winnipeg Manitoba Canada where -40 Fahrenheit actually equals -40 Celsius & then ... YOU KNOW COLD! 🥶 Skin freezes in a matter of seconds & yup, life goes on pretty much like any other day!
I’ve lived in the south my whole life and I actually love the cold… I’ve always been hot natured. When it’s hot you can only take so much off before it gets you a ticket lol, cold however you can put on more layers
Mr. Foust if it is of any consolation to you, we Texans were also frozen human popsicles recently. The Dallas/Ft. Worth area reached -2 degrees! And as expected for Texas weather it was 83 degrees exactly 7 days later! Such Fun.....:-|
What a winter we have had!!!! Glad you came up to enjoy a bit of it!!! Those Culvers cheese curds will keep you coming back. Fun video!!!!! Snow Angels hey! :)
Born and raised in New Hampshire except for 8 yrs. in NC. I have always hated snow, never played in it as a kid. NC winters were just lovely, to bad I had a reason to get out of there and come back to NH. WAAAAA
Cheese curds are the best! Thanks for showing the best part of the Midwest , the people. Be sure to go back in the heat of the summer, nothing like your eye glasses steaming up when you leave a/c to go outside, tornadoes & swimming in the lake.
This was absolutely amazing to watch. I couldn't breathe I was laughing so hard! The best part was the hot tube part, that's when I really lost it laughing lol. I commend you Tim for being brave enough so that we could be thoroughly entertained!
That's the best part about being from the Midwest, the people. I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. Fall is my favorite season though, I missed it most when I stationed in California for the military. Have no desire to move back out of the Midwest, it's home!
I live 41 miles North of the exact center of the contiguous U.S. states. We have 4 seasons of extreme temperatures. It's too friggin hot in the summer, too cold in the winter, Neither spring or fall can decide what the weather should be. It does make life "interesting"
I've been up there. Hauling water. As long as you can keep it moving, you're good. But you definitely don't want to have to "tinkle" when you've been it that cold for awhile. Certain things don't like to be touched with frozen hands.
Thanks Tim for your fantastic sense of humor and a refreshing perspective on something so many of us have grown up with. Winter is my favorite time of year and I wouldn't trade the snow and cold for anything else. Love you all and everything you've been sharing with us over the past decade, but especially this year.
I don’t miss the freezing cold, eyes watering from the wind and freezing your eyes open or closed behind your glasses. Lived in South Dakota now south of Phoenix Az. Since I retired.
I can almost see Buck Hill from my house, I really should go sledding there sometime. I haven’t been skiing there in years. I also really glad the coldest part of Winter is over.
I've driven by it countless times, but I was never a downhill skier. Only cross-country, which I would do up in the woods along the north shore of Lake Superior. That was pure heaven!
I was sure that after Tim returned to the hot tub after making his snow angel that Adam would laugh and confess that he had never actually done that and was just trying to see if Tim would do it!
HAHA! I was right. It IS good...Glad you survived our midwest winter, Tim! Great video. Edit - I can't believe you did the hot tub snow angel! You are one BRAVE soul, man.
I am with Tim. I was born in Philly PA, and raised in Northern New York State (Adirondacks region) which has temps similar to Minnesota. I moved souh because 40 is 30 degrees too cold. -20 or lower is ridiculous
Imagine living in Canadian winter, and your car would get totaled if you try to start it at -40 without having any engine heating equipment because the oil is just solid.
Don't have to imagine. I used to own a diesel Volkswagen with no block heater. When it got below -25, I would have to start it at lunch time and let it run for 20 minutes if I wanted to get home after work. I put a space heater on a timer just under the front bumper to blow warm air into the engine compartment so it would start in the morining.
Yikes! I wouldn’t have known to do that! About the lowest it ever gets here us maybe 7°-9°F, but that’s only a couple hrs. at night, & it doesn’t stay like that. Even when it gets down to below freezing, it’s usually only at night, & doesn’t last very long. It has lasted long enough that we have to get frost off of the windshields when going in to work/leaving work at the end of night shift.
When we've had cold that like in MN it was nice to have a car that leaked oil like a sieve. Just put a can or two in the oven at a low temperature, then go add that warm oil to the engine, and off you go!
This is so funny to me as someone who only has known the midwest. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and visited my grandparents in Iowa. I am now in college as a freshman in Tennessee, and we had a big cold snap this winter and it was so funny to me to see some of my fellow students react to the snow (6 inches at the end) and degrees in the teens. No big deal for me, but one guy didn't even know his car had a defrost button! I also love visiting and learning about other cultures, and hope to travel more in the future.
Oof da, it was brisk out when Tim was there! Grew up there, but I'm glad I live in TN now. I sure enjoyed the video. I miss the people, but not the winter.
This video was the funniest thing I have watched in a very long time!! I have lived in the Midwest all of my life (over 50 years just an hour south of the Twin Cities) and I don’t even know why I live here LOL.Tim I LOVE your comment at the end about driving south until your face no longer hurts. LOL
How to give Tim a high voice in two easy steps - hot tub then snow angel.
😂😂😂
It's still stinging
SNOW ANGEL NAKED!
😂😂😂😂😂😂 I agree with u there 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Ummm --- There IS a reason for that!!!! Just Sayin'!!! And guys, that IS cold!
"I'm going to drive South until the air no longer hurts my face" - Tim and every Midwest snowbird 😂
Amen Tim
"I'm going to drive South until the air no longer hurts my face"
OMG, that was hilarious!!
I love how how the voice of Tim Foust turned into Austin brown when he hit the snow getting out of the hot tub😂
He now has a 6 octave range!
"Ahh, it burns!!" That's the highest note I've ever heard Tim sing.
That was my thought exactly! lol

I live 41 miles North of the exact center of the contiguous U.S. states. We have 4 seasons of extreme temperatures. It's too friggin hot in the summer, too cold in the winter, Neither spring or fall can decide what the weather should be. It does make life "interesting"
Tim, you have the best sense of humor! I just love watching you!
I live in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada, so I know winter. Farenheit means nothing to me though... I enjoyed this more than I can say!
I've been up there. Hauling water. As long as you can keep it moving, you're good.
But you definitely don't want to have to "tinkle" when you've been it that cold for awhile. Certain things don't like to be touched with frozen hands.
I love Tim's sense of humor.
Many years ago I could see out my window across 494
.
I've driven by it countless times, but I was never a downhill skier. Only cross-country, which I would do up in the woods along the north shore of Lake Superior. That was pure heaven!
God I love trucking, music, therapy, theology and comedy. God is a beautiful him/her. Thank you for this.

I was sure that after Tim returned to the hot tub after making his snow angel that Adam would laugh and confess that he had never actually done that and was just trying to see if Tim would do it!
🤣😅🤣👍
But isn't the snow so pretty!!! I was a kid in Albert Lee, Minnesota and I loved it all year round. Best place I have every lived!!
Looks like Tim in the photo...this oughta be good! 😊
@@billsanderson1442 Wow! I can’t even imagine having to do that! I wouldn’t have know to do any of that!
The block is cracked and the radiator has burst because all the coolant froze. Good times! Not...
I lasted three winters in Minneapolis. I live in Hawaii now and do not miss the snow a bit.
LAUGHED SO MUCH(& SO LOUD).. I was afraid I would wake the rest the house up. Was GREAT getting to see the guys just goofin off & havin fun!!
LOL
