- After Manchester United suffered their most humiliating defeat of the season - Simon, Graeme and Troy sit down to look at where this once great club is and what the expectations should be for next season…
With Sir Jim Ratcliffe becoming more of a prominent voice in football operations, Manchester United appear to be at a crossroads. Manager Erik Ten Hag is on the hot seat and the vast majority of the squad appear to be surplus to requirements, as well-remunerated stars such as Casemiro and Marcus Rashford continue to disappoint.
The guys also discuss another team that has a somewhat murky future, as they react to the news that David Moyes is being replaced at the end of the season by Julen Lopetegui. Should West Ham fans ‘be careful what they wish for’ as they wave goodbye to the manager who put a trophy in the cabinet for the first time in 43 years? Simon, Graeme and Troy give their thoughts in this week’s episode of Three Up Front brought to you by William Hill.

This comment section makes me laugh. Everyone asking to get rid of Deeney or Souness because they don’t like them. You do know that no one is forcing you to watch the podcast 😂
Maybe people want to watch podcasts that don’t have certain guests.
@@LHBH8well that’s what they should do then and not watch this one 🤔
Don’t worry, Up Front hasn’t gone anywhere. Stay tuned for another episode later this month.
Cracking new format. Really good to hear their opinions. Great mix, well done. Look forward to seeing the next one.
Love Troy Deeneys input, class show & 3 class men
I love this show I must admit
Jordan said the other week Manchester United don't deserve the column inches, video news attention they get. But he does a podcast special on them 😭😭😭 Hypocrite!!!
He said they don't 'deserve' it. That doesn't mean he isn't going to talk about it.
He means it in a sense that they are so crap yet so BIG they still get spoke about. He's emphasizing basically how big they are.
It's the only way he can get views ;)
Simon = top LAD proper clobber
god souness is a dinosaur
that team talk 😂😂😂
The fact that you are watching and listening to him that often just to call him out is like, odd
Salah is world class.. fickle people forgetting he’s just come back from his longest injury absence. They’ll be singing his praises again next week.
Is he fuck a world class player, Messi is an example of a world class player, someone who can effect a game from the depths of nothing, even players like hazard, bale and Neymar are all world class players in my eye, the eye test is always important, in judging a players ability, unlike u I don’t watch football on a calculator
Great show. Add Martin O'Neill and these are the best on talksport.
My understanding is that Wilfred arrive at Old Trafford with the wrong attitude on and off the pitch. Ask the neighbors who lived adjacent to his club house and you’ll soon have your answer , as to why his career in Manchester was a short one. Sadly he is/was not alone.
didn’t realise you guys had a channel, great content guys and what a great trio
Graham - ‘your talking bollocks’ 😭😭😂
Great new series this. Three people who aren't afraid to give honest criticism.
No uninformed, vacuous opinions here. Which I hate.
I enjoyed that. Learned something too. Great content.
Regardless the topics so far, I bloody love these three together and their dynamic of questioning each other. Obvs the whole point, but so well done!
Great stuff! Love this podcast
Great show love the dynamic
Man Utd , hated , adored but never ignored
Not winning either. 😑😑
Not winning but football goes in cycles and United have been in worse positions before. Will come around again like Liverpool and Arsenal spent years being shite like United. Nobody stays on top forever and that’s the beauty of football.
Casemiro was good with Fred alongside him, Fred was the legs - Fred wasn't replaced or upgraded and you can see the result
22:40 This moment here is why this is getting my like. That's the energy you want on these channels 😁
I do like these, but I hope these aren’t replacing the one to one interviews you’ve been doing up till now Simon.
Not a Doris in sight, fantastic!! YNWA!! ✌
Why does Deeney always sound like he has a head cold?
He's awful.
Token black guy. Talent is optional. He has a really nasal voice. He’s a good speaker but he hasn’t got the voice no. There’s a few ex players doing the media rounds. They’re on absolutely everything.
I think hes alright, bit of a character, says what he thinks... dont always agree but isnt that what makes it interesting
He thinks he is better than Salah (delusional)
😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yes he does always sound like that but he's clearly not awful. His insights into the modern player's mindset and his experiences are definitely valuable, plus he's an interesting character to boot.
Maybe in this episode Simon will ask Graeme about what it's like to be a big strong man making tough tackles, and how back in Graeme's day, men were stronger. And Graeme will solemnly nod, and then go on to explain how these modern players just aren't as tough any more.
Yes. Most players wear pantyhose off hours and call themselves transwomen. Total snowflakes.
Nice addition in Troy. He might have had a melt down at Forest Green but I enjoy listening to him and his take on football.
It's only full houses every week because the season tickets are sold before a ball is kicked. How many would turn up to watch this team if they hadn't already paid in advance.
15:49 For those who don't get it, Souness was the manager of Liverpool in the early 90s for a short while when things went downhill for them 😂
Three great guys to have around the table for football chats
Onana was 43 million, not 70.
They don't do homework last week match day said Antony came on as sub he started the bloody game
@@degeautdfanfirst yeah, don't know why I expected better
yeah but that doesnt fit Souness' scouse narrative
@@mintchip83 to be fair to Souness he holds United to a high standard. He's regularly saying United are the biggest club in England, if not the world. He is just way off with his transfer fees
Simon. Is there a possibility of getting yourself and Gary Neville in a room? Now that would be the ultimate. JORDAN vs NEVILLE
Lmao the intro.. “TO TELL IT LIKE IT REALLY IS!” Yeah u and all the rest keepin it real
I dont think Souness has ever got anywhere because he keeps coming back to it
Enjoy listening to all three of these blokes , 3 different kinds of opinions from completely different people
Excellent show
Maguire…..”a very good leader.”………That was enough for me, I switched off!
Class show this is 🔥
When Troy described Zouma as a nice guy I thought surely Simon won't let that slide... didnt disappoint haha
Troy’s alright actually. Give him a chance
F off no he’s not
Dumbs it down.
Kid@@theoneandonly34
im sorry but on the thumbnail.. Simon looks the spitting image of an old Rodney Trotter from Only Fools And Horse. Have a look and i bet you wont be able to unsee it.
Now this is CONTENT!
Souness always overestimates how much Onana cost. £40-£45M depending which source you believe where has he got £70m from?
70 million
Is it get Troy deeney on as many shows/podcasts as possible year or something? ALWAYS the big I am from him
All 3 of them are big I ams IMO.
He is fkn unbearable and sounds like he has kettlebells up his beak
Agreed. Don't understand the hate in the comments.
@@thegreenbaizevampire yeah, no need, and you don’t have to listen if you don’t want to. Troy Deeney has an insight as a recent player, that’s what he brings to the table.
Yeah I agree. Its not his views, its his face & voice.
Hey, it's the three "tell it like it is!" man's man who all work for the mainstream media and never say anything genuinely controversial whatsoever. No holds barred!
When you mentioned Rashford to build the team around first 😂, and then he needs 10 babysitters, still you dont know what your getting🥴
And then said he needs a team of big characters around him 🙄
Clearly shows a bias or the fact that they know fuck all. Jordan is right, he's been elevated to position nowhere near where he should be.
Between Arsenal and Liverpool, they have won the league one more time than United since Fergie.
Liverpool have challenged Man City more than anyone else
Challenging ain't winning leagues!!!
@@kevinlobo55042nd is the first to lose.
@@peterlfc1387runners up twice isn't challenging to me
Love the content gentlemen
I have never watched it but someone told me to google a TV show called Trailer Park Boys and look at the character called Bubbles and he really does look like Jordan 🥸🤣🤣🤣
Few points in my opinion
Casemiro was class last season and dominated games, yes this year he’s suffered but I would give him another chance. If he’s the same next year then get rid.
Onana - garbage, still don’t get why he got rid of de gea who won the golden glove. Onana has cost us in the champions league and countless mistakes in the prem. A shit shot stopper too, couldn’t care less about his ball playing from the back.
The defence has been battered this year. Our solid partnership was varane, Martinez. Dalot and shaw/malacia. 3 of them are always injured. So hopefully this will improve next year. Although I think varane is going this summer so we’ll need a defender.
Lindelof/maguire - not good enough and got to go.
Sancho - absolute garbage ever since he signed, had a few good games back in dortmund and the media hype him. Just can’t hack the prem. sell.
Rashford - too hot and cold, also needs multiple chances to score. Had more than enough time so get rid and buy someone reliable who can make a difference.
Mason mount - garbage and injury prone, an absolute pointless signing.
Ten hag - made some awful signings, but the defence has never been consistent. Based on the mess he had to sort when he came in I’d give him another season and see where he’s at up until Xmas with the new structure and proper footballing people in charge of recruitment. If it’s still disgrace by then, you know it’s right to get rid.
Can you guys just do a slight bit of research beforehand? Onana did not cost 70m 🤣
Keep up the good work.
I gotta be honest. Simon is the real top G and I respect it
Wonder if they'll do a 40 minute!! Podcast if any other team loose. ...
For god's sake give the Ten Hag sack routine a rest, I've never known the media to after a manager/coach with so much hatred, it's been non stop for months isn't there anything else in the football world to talk about, ever since Ten Hag arrived you've been on his back, talk about trial by the media, I still want Ten Hag next season with a better structure which Ten Hag hasn't had, and there's plenty of other Utd fans that still want him, I know there's also fans that don't want him but that happens in life, as for Souness he just hates Utd.
It’s inevitable. Clowns will always be talked about.
In all the Way fans behind manager
@@hossamgebeilylow IQ people also
The media went far harder on Mourinho who got less backing yet achieved far more and is one of the greatest of all time. Any other big club with standards would have fired ten Hag when he finished bottom of a CL group with two Championship-level teams.
@@bowlingaz I disagree the media have been on his back continually for 3 months, to be honest they didn't want him from the start, I know Ten Hag has had a woeful season but coping with players that are divas, the structure above him was non existent and injuries that are off the scale, I know other teams have injuries but they're not having great seasons or they have bigger squads. I understand why some fans want Ten Hag gone, the football has been totally awful to watch, and the results are dire.
Great show fellas. 3 honest speakers
Any chance Deeley could try a Vicks Inhaler?
Really enjoy listening to Simon Jordan, got a lot of time for Souness and the work he does for the DEBRA charity, but I am surprised Deeney is given the platform and airtime on this podcast. Thinks too highly of himself, tries to sound intelligent, was a decent footballer but there are far better and more engaging people to take up the other seat.
I like Troy don't get me wrong ... but he sounds like a turnip when he talks

The truth about the GAS LIGHTING David Moyes, these are not my opinions as they are clear FACTS!
1. When Moyes took over the managers job in 2013 he sacked all of Fergies multiple league & cup winning backroom staff because Moyes wanted complete control of all of the aspects of the club. 12 years later the club have still not recovered from his incompetence
2. Having been SACKED by United in 2014 Moyes moved onto Real Sociedad where he lasted a year with a win rate of 29% before being SACKED AGAIN
3. During Moyes' time at Real Sociedad he did not make any attempts to learn Spanish. Sometime later Moyes got a new rule introduced within the Scottish FA that all new Scottish Managers who were undertaking their required badges had to learn a second language even though HE NEVER DID!
4. In 2016 Moyes joined Sunderland where he got them RELEGATED after achieving an amazingly low 19% win rate. Just like Man Utd, Sunderland have never recovered from it!
5. Moyes agreed to take over the WHU manager job whilst Slaven Bilic was still in charge 2017 (Slimy or what) for Moyes to then go onto having a 29% win rate even though Bilic win rate was 38%
6. In 2018 WHU decided not to extend Moyes 1 year contract so they brought onboard the 10 yes TEN managerial trophy winning Pelegrini as their new manager. The board had a knee jerk reaction in sacking him 18 months later in 2019 when WHU were in the relegation zone even though there was a good chance that he would have secured Prem League safety had he been allowed to carry on.
7. The WHU board decided to bring back David Moyes who previously had a 29% win rate to replace Pelegrini who had a win rate of 38% (the same as Bilic)
8. Moyes steadied the ship over the next 4 seasons whilst "AS HE LIKES TO TELL EVERYONE" that "HE" won them their first cup in 40 years ... and he did ... but look at the FACTS ... as the WHU had given Moyes over £500m worth of talent over the past 4 years. The really amazing fact is that this sum of money was MORE than ALL OF the teams that WHU played in that European competition COMBINED!!!
9. Moyes has an amazingly concerning poor history of hand picking new players himself that cost the club tens of millions of pounds to then play them out of position. When it all goes wrong as it commonly does, Moyes then gives the players the cold shoulder and pushes them out of the door at a major financial loss as he did with Haller, Scamacca, Benrahma, Vlasic & Cornet to name a few
10. WHU has one of the best academies in world football at the moment but Moyes simply will not play these young players even in cup competitions against lesser teams like Bristol City who funny enough beat WHU because our team was simply tied because of the lack of player rotation
11. Considering the £500m that Moyes has wasted over the 4 years, he is leaving the club with the smallest and OLDEST squad in the Prem League.
So there you go, just a few FACTS about the useless snake oil salesman David Moyes who for some really weird reason has the football media in his pocket as they constantly patronise the WHU fans with ignorant statements like "Be careful what you wish for" as these clowns don't pay to watch the narcissistic one trick negative pony David Moyes terrible so called football
I wonder if Simon will make a new show called "Two Up Top" where he specifically talks to Owners Or Executives
The Prem year on year has become a faster tempo as each team trying to out press each other.
United simply don't have the all the players to do that . Especially our midfield and defence most are ageing and slow
.ETH has had to adapt to this style of play and philosophy and simply made some errors. He has tried to get this team of players to press and they cannot.
Who does Troy support? I’m hearing him say ‘we’ when referring to Man U
Been injured this year but will they be so harsh on mason mount next year of he doesn't perform.
shots fired at 7:29
Troy deeney was trash as player. He can never say who is or not world class. The boy had weight problems and anger issues all his career and now all a sudden he can pinpoint what a player should be or not
You were nowhere near being a footballer, so that means you have less right to an opinion. Troy is ahead of you in the pecking order.
I'm pretty sure you don't even need to be a footballer to have an opinion on who is and isn't world class.
I swear Man United really are the talk of the town. The media have had these conversations for 10 years straight lmao
excellent
Give egg haaag a 5 year deal
O hire tuchel who can't keep a job 4 times sacked in 5 years
@@degeautdfanfirst I’m sure they will be as successful as city soon 🥴
Watch West Ham go out next season all guns blazing, pretty football and get straight in to a relegation battle. I guarantee it.
Everyone says "it's a results business, if the manager doesn't get results he has to go". Moyes got the results but suddenly he has to go because his sides aren't exciting enough to watch. FFS Beam Me Up
Great second show. All 3 are deserving to be on this together.
Obana cost 43mil. Where did soundless pluck 70mil from
Whose to blame for the last 10 years? Gee I wonder.
Who would you credit for the last 15 years at City?
It’s always owners. It’s the owners job to put the structure for success in.
Also - question marks as to whether Garnachos value has increased at United? Really? 😂
Agree with most of the comments on Troy Deeney. Nothing against the lad but its like he takes without saying anything.
To get it right at united the first thing you have to do is understand where you are as a club, the mess you are in, then understand where you want to be and make a plan and bring in the people, managers and players that you need to get you to your desired destination and at the start of that the plan can be it will take ten years, which means you have time to clear the players out that wont help and bring in the right players, 3 or 4 transfer windows, or you could plan for it to take 5 years, in which case clear out need to be a max of two windows as will also be to bring in the players that will get you there, in the 5 years you will take a loss in player valuation, some going on a free, even with a few years remaining on contracts, £80 million players being sold for £15 million, over the ten years you will take a loss in competition money through not being able to challenge or get into champions league, either way the bad running of the club in the past will hurt the club going forwards, so which would you chose the five year plan or ten year? For me it would be the five year plan, enough is enough, tear the plaster off, the pain will be worse but over with quicker and healing can start sooner.
Looking forward to the next episode when they'll spend the whole show talking about Pogba
Troy deeny: I don’t think westham have the players the play that way. We have insane players are defence is shaky but everything else
Deeney out
Funny how Mr Ratcliffe moaned about the 'mess' at United while at the same time his Company is busy pumping loads of crap into the worlds atmosphere. More ethanol discharge and single use plastic? No thanks Jim.
Obsessed with fixing them.
ALI DIA SOUNNESS😂😂
Nobody on this planet can defend TRASHFORD, NO way. The guy is a over hyped primadonna, who's achieving nothing
Danny Murphy would be a massive upgrade on Troy Deeney.
Fans behind the manager now back off at him since day arrived in the door
next time Simon, I cut your hair, for free.😂
Rashford is just like sterling. both are talented but certainly not world class and inconsistent.
Deeney IN
Talksport light
Just a bit smug for me. Bezzies having banter. Thankfully Deeney got a few words in. As for the content....nothing that hasn't been said a million times over the last few months.
The number of mislaid facts and stats in the first 7 minutes is concerning.
If you're expecting accuracy from these 3 then you're on the wrong place mate.
Scorchio 🙂
Disrespect on casimiro. Nobody can have a bad run in any line of sport now, all the good things you done is soon forgotten
There’s something way Deeney breathes 😂
Any talk of the injury crisis 60+ injuries? still able to make it to the fa cup final? no ok thought so
Man U fans need to be careful what they wish for. He won them a cup had a top four finish last year and is in 8th place right now. What more do they want?
Troy has a severe desire to help Rashy for some reason. Rashford does not have a time out the team and come back in and prove people wrong. I would also ask Troy to invest in some kind of cold or flue remedy, or get halls soothers! Great work otherwise 👏👏
Pep didn't win the European cup with Bayan
Get rid of Troy and have a guest 'pundit' each week, keeps it fresh as we all know what Simon & Graham will say about anything to do with football at this stage as much as I like both of em...
Love this, straight to the point talking ,no snowflakes allowed . Long may it continue
Casemiro is twice the player Souness ever was.
How does a team so bad end up in the top six two years in a row?!……that’s the biggest mystery
