It's always great to see what you two share, the quilt is beautiful Jenn, and I enjoy all your stitching, finishing and other crafty endeavors, thank you for all you share. I have a general idea of what designers are releasing at market from Instagram, or various videos, but I'm not a market shopper, I don't preorder pieces. I truly have plenty to stitch, and while I don't have a local Needlework shop, I may come across patterns when we travel and I do visit a shop or two, so then I will purchase something. For the most part, I am okay with the fact that I don't have to buy everything as it's released.
Such a fun video and so many beautiful projects from the two of you! My hubby is watching the Chicago TV shows and I have my ear buds in watching you. I laugh and I laugh. He has learned to ignore me. Previously, I would tell him, "My friends are making me laugh." I love your mother-daughter connection. My mom and I would have so much fun together too. She used to wet her pants with laughter! I miss her . . . This is the first time I have pre-purchased TNNS items. I ordered Annie Beez 12 Days of Xmas Stockings and the Needlework Market Cookbook. Two years ago I was in Las Vegas and the stitching store there had the cookbook. I love the recipes and small stitch patterns included. Happy Stitching you two!

Yes, I am a market shopper. This year I preordered several things from Lindy Stitches, one cannot have too many charts!! I am my 70s and am focusing on more seasonal stitching as I give a lot of it away. I have many needlepoint projects in various stages and also am planning on completing a few of those this year. I won't even talk about my knitting and quilting stash.
Another great flosstube.i don’t follow the market at all since I have people like you two who give me enough ideas! I don’t need to have the “new” stuff 😊

Always enjoy your videos! I have looked at the market releases and decided that I have so many patterns in my stash already that I really don’t need to buy a lot more patterns that will be available for a long time. The only one that I bought is Frosty Tiny Town. I have all the others and some are finished. I am actually stitching patterns that are older than last year’s market releases, hoping to get some done. I love watching market previews. Lindy Stitches did great videos this year. I did pre-order some things, thought I was done and then Satsuma Street showed up with their Funky Chickens so I'm sure I'll be getting that pattern, too.
I’m glad the goodies arrived! I live pretty close to ABE (we hear the FedEx and Amazon planes late at night, they must fly right over our house). My mother was the original one who found you and she sent to me since we are also tall stitchers (5’10” for her and 6’1” for me).
I don’t really shop the market charts. If someone shows something that catches my eye I will order it later. I try to only purchase charts that I definitely intend to stitch. I love watching your videos. My mom passed away 25 years ago and you always get me thinking about her. ❤
I have really enjoyed watching all of the market releases this year. I think I love everything by Primrose Cottage and Teresa Kogut. But I have only preordered one pattern from each. Plus the market cookbook.
I like to see all the new releases on Lindy Stitches. Steph has a fun and entertaining way to present them. However, I have a ton of patterns already and need to watch the budget. I want to order the Prairie Schooler 2024 Santa for sure. I collect the Santas. I really like the Little House Log Cabin nine part set, but that adds up quickly, so I am not sure. Not enough time or money for all I would love to stitch! Enjoy your trip to Market!

I wasn't a "Market Shopper' till last year, when I bought (kitted!) "Anne Perrin" -- one of Jeannette Douglas' first reproduction samplers. I've not yet started it, but with your encouragement and the same from Helen D, well...later today I will! This year I ordered another one of Jeannette's patterns -- the Garden Box -- and fabric for it. Both I purchased via my "local" (2 1/2 hours' drive south) shop, Traditional Stitches, in NW Calgary. When I lived in Calgary, I did office work for both Jeannette and Janice, the owner of Traditional Stitches, and became a fan of both. Janice and her friend Rose Heck (the shop's SAL leader) do monthly floss-tubes and do a couple of them leading up to Market, and that's what got me onto it. This year, in addition to the Garden Box, I decided to look at a couple of "Market exclusives" that they mentioned and have ordered the patterns for Proverbs 31 Sampler (Plum Street Primitivies) and for "Zelda's Heart" from the "Hearts for Pam" series designed by Mojo Stitches. No idea when I'll stitch them, but I loved them both!
Not buying charts in 2024, but have 2 new Nashville in my Etsy cart. Will need to wait for 2025 though. Lindy Stitchers did many videos that I enjoyed. The Pollinators is a favorite!
I am always interested in seeing what the new market released are. This year I watched Lindy Stitches" series. I usually put a couple things on my wish list but right now am in no hurry to buy anything. I got to go to the Acorn Gathering at Acorns and Threads in January and she opens the shop with a 10% discount for participants so I bought three charts then that I haven't begun to kit up. (Oh yes and three Mill Hill kits and fancy floss for another project.) Although I have no business doing it, I purchased Act of God, the new pattern from Long Dog samplers to start on Leap Day. So my WIP list is long and my pattern stash exceeds life expectancy already so I resist when I can but you know.... sometimes..... Looking forward to hearing your report on market. Have big fun!
I only ordered 2 market designs from an online shop. Fourth of July rules and the monthly mini book, both by Primrose Cottage. They were my birthday present to me. I did see a few others for maybe future purchases. Have a safe trip to market.

Really enjoy both of your stories and projects, which give me lots to think about. Jean Farish Needleworks uses and sells Cosmo in her Etsy. I find all of her designs to have such beautifully vibrant colors with Cosmo. She also taught me to stitch in hand, which I find allows me to fully see the design while stitching. Karen Owens, owner of The Cross Stitch Cupboard in Ft. Lauderdale, suggested DMC Floche thread for a design I was stitching in white. I don't find my white stitching to be as attractive as I like and the Floche is thicker so can be used with a single thread, thus a neater look. Have fun in Nashville!

I do follow the market releases - I’ve asked my LNS, In Stitches in Alexandria, to pick up a few charts - the little mouse by Stacy Nash, Liberty Pennies by Hands On Design and Flights of Fancy by JBW. I'm not a market shopper, but I do watch several people who show the releases, like Lindy Stitches. I'm hoping to stop at Persnikety either the weekend before or after Easter on my way across the country to see what you have in stock. I need more stuff like a hole in the head, but always interested in what various shops carry. Still working on the project I bought last time I stopped. Enjoy market!!! I'm a bobbinator! One thing I have found about the kinking on bobbins is not to wind the floss so tightly. You can use bobbins, and not have such tight kinks. For my fancy floss, I put them alphabetically on shower curtain rings, then place them on a curtain rod. I hang the curtain rod from the front of the vinyl shelving in my sewing closet. I store my DMC bobbins in the old Plano box that you cannot get anymore. Since DMC has added so many new colors, they do not all fit into that box.

I have watched a couple of the Lindy Stitches videos about coming patterns, but won't buy anything for a while. I like to think about my purchases for a long time to make sure I don't fall out of love with it and still really want to stitch it, and then buy it! Told myself I do not need any more patterns. Tried not to even look at the new releases. Delivered some project bags to my LNS , Stitches Unlimited near Lancaster, PA. Came home with 4 new charts and fabric. I guess this addiction is better than a lot of others.
I did Market pre-orders again this year. Not sure which pattern will be my 'must start NOW' piece. I didn't review all of the designers' releases this time, as it felt like too much to look at and be tempted by. Safe travels and have a fun and successful Market!
It was lovely to see your Flosstube pop up this evening. Always fun to see what you both are working on. I have watched alot of the market releases. I placed one small order for a couple of things and am on the notify list for several others. If I wait long enough I can usually figure out the charts I want most and not buy too many. I think my order was for Primrose Cottage (Spring Quaker and Patriotic Quaker) and Heart in Hand (Frosty Tiny Town). No real surprises there. Frosty Tiny Town is my favorite Tiny Town so far. Stephanie from Lindy Stitches has done an excellent job of putting out videos to show us what the designers are bringing to Market. She’s done 7 videos and they are informative and hilarious! Thank you Carol for the answer about the interfacing with the bell pull - I had not thought about the weight of the bell pull itself. I am a market shopper and have put my order in already with Traditional Stitches. This year I ordered a few patterns from designers that only do paper patterns. Ones that do PDF I can order get them later. My favourites are Fleur de Alphabets by JBW Designs and Seasonal Biscornu’s by Mani di Dona Designs. Definitely checking out the new Market designs wherever I can, but I don't pre-order. I make a wishlist instead and see if I still like the design a few months in. Just me facing the reality that I can't possibly stitch everything I love☹️. This year I've got my eye on Tiny Modernist's Spring Bunnies and Luminous Fiber Arts Gathering Violets as front runners 😊. The Great Floss Drop Swap was started by Momma Loves You GB Michelle from the UK during covid and it just took off like wildfire. I follow designers, shops, Instagram, and Facebook to get as many patterns to show on my Flosstube. I also watched LindyStitches Nashville Market release videos and they were great and such a hoot. I made a wishlist and laughed and laughed. She is very entertaining and engages her audience very well. Yes. of course I have pre-ordered several patterns and hope to snag the new Classic Colorwork colors too. My two favorites are Annie Beez Folk Art 12 days of Christmas Stockings booklet and Shakespere's Peddler's Home Sweet Home. I will admit that I am jealous as I would love to go to market, but our shop owner already had her shoppers lined up. Hope you two have loads of fun!!! Safe travels too.
Great video! I was surprised to see most people still bobbinate (as I do also); I hear a lot of people complain about kinks (not me) and thought that number would be lower. I do follow market releases. I love seeing all the new patterns. So far I’ve only preordered the cookbook as I’ve never boughten one before. I am trying to wait and think if I really need it before ordering. Not that “need” has anything to do with it! LOL Happy stitching!
I have watched all of the Releases, and guessing which charts will be each designer's # 1 seller. I usually have a few pre-orders, yet this year just a big wishlist. I think on Leap Year Day I will pull out a Market 2023 chart and kit up & start it (thanks Helen D.).
I love looking at everything available at market. But this year I have reminded myself that patterns will still be available later and I already have too much to stitch. Have fun in Nashville! BTW, I do the sewing method with a hoop! And I think doing the sewing method on perforated paper would be difficult as you would need to manipulate the paper in such way that would ruin the paper.

You ladies are so much fun. I sure hope I don't comment the same thing each video but I sure do enjoy each visit. I also am a tall stitcher at 5 ft 10.5 inches. Yup, I claim that half inch as well. My hubby was the exact same height so that was fun. I am one of the stitchers that doesn't shop market. I have the common ridiculously large stash and I've been quite good at stitching out of it lately. Also, I like to shop in person but we don't have an LNS so I save it for special trips. I watched some floss tubes that showed new releases and there are some charts I would like but trying to just work from my stash this year 😉. We will see how long I can hold out. This year, besides cross stitching, I am working through small wool kits and quilting kits I have previously purchased. I had about twelve and am making good progress having completed five so far. I do follow the market madness and had no plans to buy right away until I saw Funky Chickens and the Squirrel from Stacy Nash. The Chickens are for my daughter and weer birthday in April so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. 😆 I do not have a big stash- 5 charts at most waiting their turn.
The chain quilt is grand!! Chain, chain, chain...🎶 🎵 San Diego is a fab place to visit and the trolleys are great! I had a wonderful Mom and we were great together❤❤ I miss her always! I don't usually follow market but I did pre-order one chart that I just couldn't resist: Arabesque, which is a red sampler! I may do in blue or purple, or perhaps a variegated floss in that color family❤

I love watching market previews. Lindy Stitches did great videos this year. I did pre-order some things, thought I was done and then Satsuma Street showed up with their Funky Chickens so I'm sure I'll be getting that pattern, too.
I’m glad the goodies arrived! I live pretty close to ABE (we hear the FedEx and Amazon planes late at night, they must fly right over our house). My mother was the original one who found you and she sent to me since we are also tall stitchers (5’10” for her and 6’1” for me).

I don’t really shop the market charts. If someone shows something that catches my eye I will order it later. I try to only purchase charts that I definitely intend to stitch. I love watching your videos. My mom passed away 25 years ago and you always get me thinking about her. ❤
I have really enjoyed watching all of the market releases this year. I think I love everything by Primrose Cottage and Teresa Kogut. But I have only preordered one pattern from each. Plus the market cookbook.
I like to see all the new releases on Lindy Stitches. Steph has a fun and entertaining way to present them. However, I have a ton of patterns already and need to watch the budget. I want to order the Prairie Schooler 2024 Santa for sure. I collect the Santas.
I really like the Little House Log Cabin nine part set, but that adds up quickly, so I am not sure. Not enough time or money for all I would love to stitch!

I wasn't a "Market Shopper' till last year, when I bought (kitted!) "Anne Perrin" -- one of Jeannette Douglas' first reproduction samplers. I've not yet started it, but with your encouragement and the same from Helen D, well...later today I will!
This year I ordered another one of Jeannette's patterns -- the Garden Box -- and fabric for it. Both I purchased via my "local" (2 1/2 hours' drive south) shop, Traditional Stitches, in NW Calgary. When I lived in Calgary, I did office work for both Jeannette and Janice, the owner of Traditional Stitches, and became a fan of both. Janice and her friend Rose Heck (the shop's SAL leader) do monthly floss-tubes and do a couple of them leading up to Market, and that's what got me onto it. This year, in addition to the Garden Box, I decided to look at a couple of "Market exclusives" that they mentioned and have ordered the patterns for Proverbs 31 Sampler (Plum Street Primitivies) and for "Zelda's Heart" from the "Hearts for Pam" series designed by Mojo Stitches. No idea when I'll stitch them, but I loved them both!

Not buying charts in 2024, but have 2 new Nashville in my Etsy cart. Will need to wait for 2025 though. Lindy Stitchers did many videos that I enjoyed. The Pollinators is a favorite!

I am always interested in seeing what the new market released are. This year I watched Lindy Stitches" series. I usually put a couple things on my wish list but right now am in no hurry to buy anything. I got to go to the Acorn Gathering at Acorns and Threads in January and she opens the shop with a 10% discount for participants so I bought three charts then that I haven't begun to kit up. (Oh yes and three Mill Hill kits and fancy floss for another project.) Although I have no business doing it, I purchased Act of God, the new pattern from Long Dog samplers to start on Leap Day. So my WIP list is long and my pattern stash exceeds life expectancy already so I resist when I can but you know.... sometimes..... Looking forward to hearing your report on market. Have big fun!
I only ordered 2 market designs from an online shop. Fourth of July rules and the monthly mini book, both by Primrose Cottage. They were my birthday present to me. I did see a few others for maybe future purchases. Have a safe trip to market.

I watched the Lindy Stitches series on the market releases- it was so fun. I don’t pre order. I’m not that together. Plus, I like to wait and make sure I really want something and am not impulse shopping. Thank you for your video. Always a pleasure to spend time with you. Have fun at market.
Really enjoy both of your stories and projects, which give me lots to think about. Jean Farish Needleworks uses and sells Cosmo in her Etsy. I find all of her designs to have such beautifully vibrant colors with Cosmo. She also taught me to stitch in hand, which I find allows me to fully see the design while stitching. Karen Owens, owner of The Cross Stitch Cupboard in Ft. Lauderdale, suggested DMC Floche thread for a design I was stitching in white. I don't find my white stitching to be as attractive as I like and the Floche is thicker so can be used with a single thread, thus a neater look. Have fun in Nashville!

I'm not a market shopper, but I do watch several people who show the releases, like Lindy Stitches. I'm hoping to stop at Persnikety either the weekend before or after Easter on my way across the country to see what you have in stock. I need more stuff like a hole in the head, but always interested in what various shops carry. Still working on the project I bought last time I stopped. Enjoy market!!! Seeing things done and finished makes all the difference!

I'm a bobbinator! One thing I have found about the kinking on bobbins is not to wind the floss so tightly. You can use bobbins, and not have such tight kinks. For my fancy floss, I put them alphabetically on shower curtain rings, then place them on a curtain rod. I hang the curtain rod from the front of the vinyl shelving in my sewing closet. I store my DMC bobbins in the old Plano box that you cannot get anymore. Since DMC has added so many new colors, they do not all fit into that box.

I do not follow the Market trends and do not NEED anymore charts. As I truly have hundreds to start. If I see one on a flosstube that has someone in mind I will order it ( for instance your enabling on A WEEKEND IN PARIS) by the way, I hate Dimensions, lol. Hugs from the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas.

I have watched a couple of the Lindy Stitches videos about coming patterns, but won't buy anything for a while. I like to think about my purchases for a long time to make sure I don't fall out of love with it and still really want to stitch it, and then buy it! I store all my floss in Flossaway bags, out of sunlight and sealed from dust.

Told myself I do not need any more patterns. Tried not to even look at the new releases. Delivered some project bags to my LNS , Stitches Unlimited near Lancaster, PA. Came home with 4 new charts and fabric. I guess this addiction is better than a lot of others.

I did Market pre-orders again this year. Not sure which pattern will be my 'must start NOW' piece. I didn't review all of the designers' releases this time, as it felt like too much to look at and be tempted by. Safe travels and have a fun and successful Market!
It was lovely to see your Flosstube pop up this evening. Always fun to see what you both are working on. I have watched alot of the market releases. I placed one small order for a couple of things and am on the notify list for several others. If I wait long enough I can usually figure out the charts I want most and not buy too many. I think my order was for Primrose Cottage (Spring Quaker and Patriotic Quaker) and Heart in Hand (Frosty Tiny Town). No real surprises there. Frosty Tiny Town is my favorite Tiny Town so far. I rarely order anything from market, but this year I had to have Maggie Mae, the new Stacy Nash rabbit. I hope to stitch it before Easter, so I wanted to make sure I got it on pre-order. So, yes I do follow Market and I NEED ( oh biy, would my hubby laugh at that!) more charts! Stephanie from Lindy Stitches has done an excellent job of putting out videos to show us what the designers are bringing to Market. She’s done 7 videos and they are informative and hilarious! I’ve ordered a “few” necessities! Havea great few weeks!

Thank you Carol for the answer about the interfacing with the bell pull - I had not thought about the weight of the bell pull itself. I am a market shopper and have put my order in already with Traditional Stitches. This year I ordered a few patterns from designers that only do paper patterns. Ones that do PDF I can order get them later. My favourites are Fleur de Alphabets by JBW Designs and Seasonal Biscornu’s by Mani di Dona Designs. Definitely checking out the new Market designs wherever I can, but I don't pre-order. I make a wishlist instead and see if I still like the design a few months in. Just me facing the reality that I can't possibly stitch everything I love☹️. This year I've got my eye on Tiny Modernist's Spring Bunnies and Luminous Fiber Arts Gathering Violets as front runners 😊. I wonder though how with work and family, Jennifer, that you have time to do so many different crafts. The crocheting, the cross stitch, model stitching, and all the many quilts that you make and long arm quilt. I am impressed with how you manage your time and get so much done. The Great Floss Drop Swap was started by Momma Loves You GB Michelle from the UK during covid and it just took off like wildfire. I follow designers, shops, Instagram, and Facebook to get as many patterns to show on my Flosstube. I also watched LindyStitches Nashville Market release videos and they were great and such a hoot. I made a wishlist and laughed and laughed. She is very entertaining and engages her audience very well. Yes. of course I have pre-ordered several patterns and hope to snag the new Classic Colorwork colors too. My two favorites are Annie Beez Folk Art 12 days of Christmas Stockings booklet and Shakespere's Peddler's Home Sweet Home. I will admit that I am jealous as I would love to go to market, but our shop owner already had her shoppers lined up. Hope you two have loads of fun!!! Safe travels too.
Great video! I was surprised to see most people still bobbinate (as I do also); I hear a lot of people complain about kinks (not me) and thought that number would be lower. I do follow market releases. I love seeing all the new patterns. So far I’ve only preordered the cookbook as I’ve never boughten one before. I am trying to wait and think if I really need it before ordering. Not that “need” has anything to do with it! LOL Happy stitching!
I have watched all of the Releases, and guessing which charts will be each designer's # 1 seller. I usually have a few pre-orders, yet this year just a big wishlist. I think on Leap Year Day I will pull out a Market 2023 chart and kit up & start it (thanks Helen D.).
I love looking at everything available at market. But this year I have reminded myself that patterns will still be available later and I already have too much to stitch. I am getting one pattern: serenity by Teresa Kogut. You both are always so busy and have so much to show us. Have a great time at market.

Have fun in Nashville! BTW, I do the sewing method with a hoop! And I think doing the sewing method on perforated paper would be difficult as you would need to manipulate the paper in such way that would ruin the paper.

I preorder from different shops each year and I ended up ordering 12 patterns, the cookbook, a dinky dye market silks set, and a set of floss tags! The pattern that sent me on the market trail is 12 days of Christmas stockings by Annie Beez. Once I saw that I was a goner. Have fun at market and blessings on your traveling. ❤❤

I also am a tall stitcher at 5 ft 10.5 inches. Yup, I claim that half inch as well. My hubby was the exact same height so that was fun.
I am one of the stitchers that doesn't shop market. I have the common ridiculously large stash and I've been quite good at stitching out of it lately. Also, I like to shop in person but we don't have an LNS so I save it for special trips. That is so much fun.

I watched some floss tubes that showed new releases and there are some charts I would like but trying to just work from my stash this year 😉. We will see how long I can hold out. This year, besides cross stitching, I am working through small wool kits and quilting kits I have previously purchased. I had about twelve and am making good progress having completed five so far. My oldest one was from 2014.

Pip and chip also has a floss drop system for several companies floss with special inserts for the floss to be contained in. I have the one for DMC
I do look forward to seeing market releases but "usually" don't rush to purchase. There are couple I know I am going to purchase when I "need" multiple items.

I do follow the market madness and had no plans to buy right away until I saw Funky Chickens and the Squirrel from Stacy Nash. The Chickens are for my daughter and weer birthday in April so that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. 😆 I do not have a big stash- 5 charts at most waiting their turn.
