I love how the Alterna rocket has the grizzco music playing, because it also implies that mr grizz stole the jingle for himself

@@FV0RT3X probably because that’s where it appears. I’m saying like lore-wise that it probably was. Because Alterna came before grizzco and that’s where mr grizz was the entire time
I was about to write a comment on that myself. The fact that theme is what blares from the Alterna Space Center and plays more triumphantly as the Spirit Lifter takes off means that it was a human-made tune composed specifically as a morale booster for those on the mission to reach Earth's surface again, the mission that ended in disaster before it began... Mr. Grizz adapted it into the the familiar Grizzco Industries tune.

A more fun detail on Ark Polaris: if you check the ground on low tide you can actually find bear tracks from when Mr. Grizz landed, and they have little pink/purple liquid near them. So fuzzy ooze was foreshadowed years before it was used in 3's story.

@@bestevil. Look up the video "Splatoon 2 - The Mystery of Ark Polaris" on the channel Vasko Games. It was made in 2019 so all theory and speculation at the time, but you can see the bear tracks during it.
Those are cat tracks! Bear tracks have five toes, but cat tracks have four! (It was originally planned for Lil' Judd to be the villain of Return of the Mammalians)

Fun fact: they actually added crableg capital to the background of hagglefish in this update! I took a screenshot before it came out, and the skyline is nearly identical except for that one building, which of course is missing.

Would be cool to see a part two. Including some of changes they made to Mahi-Mahi Resort's background. (I wont specify but there's one in particular that was a really cute decision by the devs to include)

@@randomsquiddyIn the background of S1 Mahi-Mahi you can see a wedding between two jellyfish taking place. In S3 the same couple can be seen playing with (presumably) their child

Maybe the gender neutral bathroom is because some sea species dont have gender, or its for familes with kids. Either way, i love all the details Splatoon adds to the world
I think something for families makes sense!
I imagine that a species like Inklings which have no problem shape-shifting to some extent could easily have a less rigid idea of gender than us, as well. This IS the first game to replace the "gender" option with "style" after all.
@@birdflox1337that’s not really how it works in real life though, I think it’s more so for species like jelly fish which are naturally gender neutral.
But I guess it could be true because you can change your main character from male to female so gender might not be like human gender where you’re either born a male or female, although this is probably (not even probably it’s basically 100% confirmed) just a game mechanic and not an actual concrete lore thing as it’s mentioned no where else.

Trans and non-binary people have literally existed for hundreds of years, gender and sex aren’t binary. There are more sexes in humans than just XX and XY (fun fact, you can go your whole life without knowing you’re intersex), and more genders than just male and female.
Also gender neutral bathrooms exist in real life too, but they aren’t everywhere yet unfortunately, it would make trans and non-binary feel a whole lot safer going to the bathroom.

In Hammerhead Bridge, if you're killed in the middle of a superjump/jumping back from an inkjet/zipcaster (ie lag), the camera will zoom out from that point and it can even clip above the bridge, showing the highway and the cars passing by. It's not only the sound of the cars

Barnacle and Dime is based on a Japanese mall, as the name in Japanese is Taraport, which is based on LaLaPort, a mall chain in Japan. The middle bathroom is technically "gender neutral," but that is misleading. Its intended function is for people with wheelchairs, disabilities, elderly people, and parents with babies (you can also see the little icons on the green sign). As you can see on the map, there are automatic door controls and a bigger handle for accessibility. While being gender-neutral, it should really only be used by people who require assistance (they are single-room so only one person at a time). These bathrooms are common in Japan.

In the Grizzco Lobby of Splatoon 3, once you beat story mode, the statue/radio with Mr. Grizz’s recorded messages changes shape! Before you beat story mode it’s a bear with a salmon in its mouth, and after you beat story mode it’s a salmon with a bear in its mouth :) it’s a nice little callback to Little Buddy turning into Hugefry at the end of the final battle!
Yep! I had seen it in a RUclips Shorts video where the person who made it showed that it was a story mode reference but clearly didn't realise* that it was switched after beating Return of the Mammalians (Splatoon 3's included story mode campaign).
* He could've known it but intentionally made a mistake in order to get people to comment on the video and trick RUclips's Shorts recommendation algorithms.
I really love the details that Nintendo packed into every corner of the Splatoon series. It really makes the world of Splatoon feel alive and “real.”
Its probably a family bathroom, which is why it has a door and the other two don't

the detail with the crater and tutorial is super cool since ive never seen anyone mention it yet, i hope they add more details like these in the future
(0:23) I feel like adding one of my headcanons here, that being that Crableg Capital was likely created as a result of the development team settling on an idea for a new construction site themed stage for Splatoon 3, and that in a future Splatoon game, construction would've been completed that could then result in the stage being reincarnated into a financial institution or office themed stage.

No, it does not.
It isn't a "gender-neutral" bathroom. It is either a storage room, a family bathroom (like the ones with a table to change babies diapers, etc.) or an exit.
Second comment, but I have a head canon: Sheldon and Glen Fiddler used to be friends in college or something, both wanting to focus on advancing battle strategy and stuff. But their ideas differed: Sheldon focusing on weapons, while Glen Fiddler focused on terrain. That made them become rivals.

These were actually very good easter eggs and details. Didn't expect the rocket ambience to be song from Grizzco really good touch there. Anyways awesome video!
Might also be a wheelchair-accessible bathroom, that also might include a changing table for parents with babies. Then again, where I live those are not assigned to a specific gender, so they are also gender-neutral.

On the bridge are actually moving cars. I didn‘t mod or hack the game to find that out. I just rewatched a Video in which I splatted somebody with an Ink mine while respawning. When I watched from their perspective it showed me respawning and after That I super jumped and it showed the “highway“ from their perspective.
But it happened on accident
I don't think those are necessarily gender neutral bathrooms in Barnacle and Dime as it seems more like disabled toilets for people who need them. There are also images next to the sign showing a larger and a smaller person probably representing a baby changing area too.
Fun fact about the Nils Statue: in the French version of the Splatoon 3 Direct, we can already seen the Nils Statue at the bottom-left next to the French name of Hammerhead Bridge.
But since Hammerhead Bridge and japanese name of the statue are way too long, the name was hided.
So, only french peoples already knew that Nils Statue was next to Hammerhead Bridge and I know what I'm talking about because also myself I'm french and watch the Direct on his French version. :)

the ark in the Bible was a large structure built to save God's people and two of every animal during the flood. What was the ship that carried lots of people and animals on it in the splatoon universe called? ARK Polaris. Coincidence?

I miss when the bridge was in construction, Splat 1's bridge was the best of the three, getting worse over time. Splat 3's bridge is Hallway Simulator and Choke Central.
The gender- neutral thing pretty much makes sense becuase there are some real life sea creatures who are literally that, Its a very interesting easter egg

As cool as the addition of a gender neutral bathroom would be, i don't think that's what that is... The fact the doorway is a different size, with the other two entrances not having door to begin with, as well as the two buttons next to the door, implies that this is either a broom closet or more likely a bathroom for disabled people, which I also deem an important addition in this mall.

Something cool i noticed is that:
Shipshape is visible on hammerhead bridge without the giant oil rig it’s carrying (I believe) since it’s actually based off a real ship called the BOKA Vanguard that can submerge itself underwater and transport giant oil rigs
