It's crazy how the maps in game are the exact same as the movies
The maps are really close to the movies. some little difference due to gameplay purposes :-)
I wouldn't say "exactly the same" but all the major details are there. It would probably be impossible to get 100% accurate re-creation with how much time has passed and for gameplay's sake.

You are correct. Jason didn't die in almost ever Friday and Jason movie. We're lead to believe as a movie viewer that he had died and she survived :-)
He did but he regenerates. Note how he woke up at the MORGUE in Part 4 after getting axed in the head.
