This is one of the most interesting vlogs that Shawn & Charlotte have produced for this channel. The Bahamas look absolutely beautiful & the weather looked stunning as well. I'm still fascinated by the shear size of the cruise ship called Carnival Mardi Gras. Such a beautiful massive ship in a very luxury holiday destination. What more could you ask for. These types of cruises are perfect for people who are on their honeymoon just after getting married.

In this vlog we explore Nassau in The Bahamas, the first stop of our adventure on this beautiful ship. We take a stroll around Nassau and take a look inside the shops on offer throughout the heart of the city. We also check out some of the beautiful beaches! The main benefit to going on excursions is the ship will not leave you behind if your late back. They will wait however long it takes for you to get back. That reassurance really lets you enjoy whtever excursion uve chosen.
Enjoying your vlogs. I just want to give you a couple of tips. Book any excursions or internet, drink packages prior to boarding the ship it is a little cheaper. Also you mentioned the tips. Please tip because the staff go out of their way to make sure everyone has a good time and your tips are distributed to people behind the scenes. I never remove my tips and we tip in cash to our bartenders, waiters and room stewards above the tip that was automated. You have to realize that the crew on the ship work 6-8 months 7 days a week to make sure we as passengers have a great cruise. I love cruising and have been on at least 14 cruises. Thank you again for your vlogs. I am enjoying your excitement.
The turquoise sea was the first thing my wife and I noticed when we docked in Nassau in April on our first ever cruise on the Disney Wish. The area you walked though first was still under construction in April and quite the building site and not very user friendly for a wheelchair user like myself. Very impressive finish outcome. My wife loved the Straw Market, I found it a little claustrophobic. Musicial Shawn on the steel drums. Strictly next year for Charlotte after her dance off. 😂😂. You showed me so much more of Nassau than when we visited, so thanks for taking me around. I want to revisit now. Back onboard there was great entertainment to end the day. Almost forgot that turtle 🐢 that was unbelievable.
It's lovely to see you both enjoying cruising. We did our first ever cruise in January on the Disney Wish, we stopped at Nassau but didn't get off as we wanted to explore the ship. It was only a 4 night cruise. Since then we did Celebrity in the Mediterranean in June and have just come back from a 7 night cruise on the Disney Dream round Britain. Needless to say, we're hooked on cruising.
I loved seeing the Bahamas! I feel like I’ve been there! Your videos are so helpful and interesting. I did laugh when the loud hooter went off, bit of a jump scare!
One thing about cruising is finding out which vibe is a best fit for you. Each of the cruise lines attract a different clientele. When you go and where you go will also make a big difference.

I’ve been to Nassau twice. I went to Atlantis (one of my favorite water parks) in 2009 and I went to Baha Bay this year. Nassau is nice, but I saw a lot of areas are run down.
You both visit places I only have heard of in the movies or from lucky people who visited because they were in the navy...unless rich! Wonderful...such an education...thank you Shawn and Charlotte...
8:15 Perfect timing, discuss about the Carnival Mardi Gra ship lobby window and then the ship horn blasts. Hopefully, you and Charlotte get on a Disney cruise someday. Disney is adding more ships to their fleet within the next several years and their ship horns play Disney songs. If another Disney ship is nearby, they will have a contest and compete each other on their ship's horns.
Super view vlog, thanks for showing. Spoilt for choice in what to do there. Best sand I've ever walked was in Barbados, super fine and soft, looks similar here but if anything better clearer sea here. Yes, thinking you need multiple stays here to absorb everything the island and Bahamas have to offer.......good job you are nice and young !!! Lol
It was said to us, that the Carribean, including Bahamas, are all pretty much similar. Whilst cruising say the Mediterranean or further East....that the Islands Cities you stop off at are more diverse/Varied.....I.e places in Italy, Spain, France, Scicily, Sardinia, Egypt, Turkey...... basically sampling more culture and architecture. Of course you can go further a field into the Eastern Seas...India to Australia. All them assuming you prefer heat to cold. Obviously "Cold" takes you to other parts of the World.
Omg Senor Frogs! We had a quick cocktail there when we visited Nassau with Royal Carribean back in February. Its not the classiest of bars......& thats putting it mildly🤣

After Freshman year of college, I'd normally just go for a granola bar on a morning. Now I also have yogurt or scrambles more so, but there are days where I start work at 8, so i can have one on the way over. When I was a lot younger, I would always have a waffle. I'll have a waffle or pancakes when I'm at a diner-type place tho
heeei charlotte and shawn... so i wont say im an advanced cruiser but ive doen multiple cruises with pre paid tips and without them and actually if you dont pre pay them the same amount and sometimes more will be charged to your room during the cruise. sometimes its not an option and you have to pre pay. so i would say always pre pay your tips and add on extra tips to whoever deserves it most. love the vlogs
We are going on the Mardi Gras for new year’s & I read in our FB group the Blue Iguana cantina does breakfast bowls & burritos, Shaq’s chicken has a breakfast sandwich and I think deck 8 does a smaller buffet that is a lot quieter than Lido marketplace. Have you tried these?
Just fyi - we've done lots of cruises, mostly on Royal Caribbean, but one of the best adults only/wine pairing/gourmet meals we ever had was in Remy's on the Disney Dream. Disney cruises are more expensive but they actually go out of their way to create some really upscale adults only areas/experiences. @@stacked7476
Another good video, a lot of good entertainment onboard, loved the atmosphere onboard top deck party, looks epic. Did you interact with any other fans from this channel aswell theme park worldwide while on the cruise? Like get recognised by anyone onboard? Did any staff notice you? Especially via big screen on top deck during party? To be honest about Entertainment I was disappointed with first show about New York, found that crap to be honest, just lacked energy and singing wasn't as powerful, especially through video? Not sure what it sounded like in person? But through video, was crap and sounded it aswell, but the other shows Voodoo one and Mardi Gras show was very good. But loved party at end most, is something be 100% up to experiencing in person. Also, really nice shots and videography around port, cheers for showing as enjoyed. Other cruise wasn't there long was it, was shocked to see that leave early, quick in and back out again. But nice vlog, really did enjoy and look forward to now watching Day 3. 😀👍
I don’t know how far in advance you film this, but if you are still on the ship I’d recommend doing the main restaurants, I know you said it isn’t really for you but they will do the basic food as well but it’s normally much better quality than the buffet and the buffet can get a bit repetitive as well
