Agreed, Charlotte was so much fun to watch going off on her own little adventure! Felt sad for Shawn but it was a little blessing in disguise for the channel as it was something new, and I think all the fans of the channel were proud of Charlotte too.

@@Rknowles813 passengers on board shouldn’t have to prepare for food poisoning, food should be cooked and prepared properly.
I really love how honest you are when youre disappointed in an experience or if something doesnt quite go to plan. It gives us a much more realistic view of these things compared to most other vloggers 😊

I believe the reason there isn’t one big pool on the newer ships is because if a child has an accident or throws up in the water they have to empty and clean the whole pool. So to prevent disappointment due to the pool being closed for a day they now do multiple smaller pools. ☺️

I love how honest you guys are and how you break every little detail down. As someone is considering my first cruise I love this.
With cruising I think the whole tipping situation is wrong. If you receive good service, you tip. With cruising is like you’re forced to tip no matter what. Maybe cruises should be paying the staff more and not forcing passengers to make up the wages.
Its the same thing tho. If you dont tip. They are gonna raise prices to pay their employees a higher wage.

I went on the Disney Dream from Southampton in the Summer! The cruise entertainment really is designed for families, so it really worked for our family! Glad you all enjoyed! Well done Charlotte for stepping up for the vlogs!

Great video! I'm not entirely convinced that it's worth 2x the cost of the carnival one, especially when the ports with carnival were more consistently fun

Especially with the point about breaking down each segment of the experience.
Without doubt part of the additional cost is simply down to the brand.
I also feel it’s a cheek to expect tips for such an expensive journey, I understand it’s considered the norm in America though hard working staff shouldn’t be relying on tips to make up for the lack of a living wage. This is shameful and absolutely not classy whatsoever.
Additionally I personally would be complaining about poor food service and definitely would be looking for some refund if I got food poisoning, this only occurs due to food not being cooked properly or left out too long or being reheated too much…or even potentially all of these things.
It’s never down to not having a refined palate.
As I say, you’re paying for the brand as much as anything else so there shouldn’t be any aspect that’s pushed aside as “expected”, for the amount being paid, quality should be as high as possible in every one of those segments.
A drop in standards should be a drop in the overall review of the experience.
Disney has different itineraries. They don’t just go to Cozumel, and I am pretty sure Carnival has an itinerary that goes to Cozumel. You also have to keep in mind that Disney only has 5 ships 6 come December. Carnival has 26 that is that is over 5 times as many ships, come December it will still be over 4 times as many ships. Disney is very limited on their itineraries. Especially since they do the Pacific Coast, Alaska and goes to Europe in the Summer. Not to mention it is now has a ship going to Australia for a short period and will be going back there in the Fall. If you look at it that was there are only 3 ships in the Caribbean a lot of the times, and sometimes they have a 4th. Also one ship is exclusive to just the Bahamas, and there is one that is just exclusive to longer sailings in the Caribbean. The 6th ship will help open up my itineraries, but it just a wait see. With 26 ships there is a lot more opportunity for my and better itineraries. Also Disney is going to have another Port that is their port of call that is coming as well. I can’t wait for that. 🤷🏾♀️

I definitely don't think it is ... unless you have kids & excess cash. Baffling going on this with no children.

Personally, I do not agree that it's "only for kids".

Well done Charlotte for taking over filming when Shawn was ill, she was amazing. I want to do a cruise myself soon but not Disney it’s too expensive just a normal cruise for adults. Ship looked very good nevertheless however same here about the restaurant and sitting with others, I’d rather just do the cafe bar.

Lovely to hear your thoughts about the cruise both positive and negative. Like many other people’s comments regarding Charlotte taking over filming duties while Shawn was in his sickbed, I too thought she brilliant.
Our three day trip on The Wish was around £1897.86, we did have an accessible balcony cabin. We thought the food in all the restaurants was amazing, equally so in the buffet. It was our first ever cruise with anyone and though it was overwhelming at times, for what we got it was great value. Thanks for sharing your experiences.

I’m not gonna lie, I was expecting the cost to be astronomical, but I think it was pretty reasonable. You got a good deal there. Still gutted for you Shawn that you got food poisoning while you were away, but at least you saw Castaway! I hope the honeymoon cruise is everything you want it to be. Please do a sit down video after you get back & tell us about it! Charlotte vlogging was so lovely too over the Disney cruise. If you feel comfortable, please do more!

It's a shame about your dining experiences, the server you had doesn't sound pleasant at all with them putting you off certain foods etc. Buffets are so much more relaxed and you can have as much or little as you want and you have a lot more options
We had some really good servers!! James and Johnny!! They made us laugh from the first night!! Though there were 9 of us altogether each night (friends)

My quick thoughts are...if you are taking children than Disney is a option. But if you are going without children than choose from the other cruise lines ( many choices).

We have been on one Disney cruise and a couple on other lines but Royal Caribbean is our definite go to. We really feel it gives us the most bang for our buck, although to be fair itinerary is always our first consideration. Good for you for taking your honeymoon cruise off! It should be a private experience that you two share with each other and no one else. I know you aren't "foodies" but your RC ship will have the regular sit down dining room included and the buffet will be open every night. You can always give the restaurant a try if you see a menu you like (they are always posted outside the dining room during the day) and then go to the buffet if you want something else. What do you have to lose? Also, you might want to try the dining room for breakfast one morning. That too is included and it doesn't mean you have to have a huge breakfast, although you can if you want, but everything will be fresh and cooked to order. Much nice experience than the buffet. Also, if your ship has a central park cafe, check that out too.
Ah I’m happy to see that your honeymoon is going to be just you both having a well deserved romantic break and think all of us fans totally understand not having a Vlog on that time!
I think you can easily see from watching both cruises that the first one you seemed to enjoy more

Cozumel has PLENTY of all inclusive beach resorts that are reasonably priced. And the here’s a free / cheap ferry to the mainland. I think y’all should try it again.

Yeah there must be several docking points at Cozumel because we got off Carnival once and there were shops and restaurants, photo ops right off the ship, if you go back tho take a boat from Cozumel and go to Tulum/costa maya and there’s ruins or cave swimming - lots of outside experiences shopping etc

Did the Disney wish in sept '22, & whilst i did get sea sick on the first day, plus severely burnt at castaway (snorkeling), i did enjoy the overall cruise.

great to watch. i agree with you about the food. I do like the "theatre" of the meals in the dining rooms but hate it taking so long. Especially when its every night, rather than a few times. I'l have to book soon, though Europe ones are usually more expensive than you paid.

Agree, Charlottes did great out of her comfort zone!! I was so sad you were not feeling well as I know how excited you were! I have had food poisoning twice in my 54 years and it is not fun! Funny thing is both were while on vacation in Florida!! Once from the sausage on a pizza ( imagine 6 people with 2 bathrooms for that one. Yes, we all were sick) and the other from grabbing a quick burger from McDonald’s on the way to the beach. Only 2 of 4 that time.
I get the cheaper internal room but personally I couldn’t do it as I am a bit claustrophobic. Not a ton but think it could get to me after a couple days. If it works for you that is great and the porthole window was really a cute touch!! If you ever do an Alaskan cruise I recommend a balcony! Only because you are not in the deep sea. There is so much to see from point A,B,C and so on!! 24/7!! Good chance you will miss something amazing just getting ready in the morning or ready for dinner! I have never done one but know many who have and heard all about it, seen pics and videos. On my bucket list!! So glad you enjoyed your time!!

I think this was a great honest report from your cruise with Disney. I'm sorry for Shawn for becoming poorly on the trip but i have to agree with the many other folks here, Charlotte did a brilliant job of presenting. From a viewer point of view, i enjoyed the last years cruise more than this one - if I paid that kind of money, i would of been disappointed imo.
Good to hear that you are both wanting to have some time to yourselfs when you go off on your honeymoon cruise. You both very much deserve that time together. (Just send us all a postcard and we will be fine.... 😂)
The price sounds very reasonable considering what you get per day (food poisoning aside). I suppose you add a flight on but still there were a lot of activities and food/drink included. I'm sorry you were unwell and came away a little disappointed in places but it was a great watch and Charlotte did a fab job filling in ❤

Be careful about booking a cruise on the Disney Wish. Just saw a vlog about it and….well, look for it yourself.

That price seems pretty reasonable for what you got. You’re lucky you don’t have to wait until the main school holidays and can go away at any time. It’s really expensive in the school summer holidays.
They should have refunded some of it for you being ill but it’s hard to prove food poisoning unless they do a sample and send to a lab.
I haven’t seen the carnival Mardi Gras will have to have a look at those vlogs. Hope you enjoy your honeymoon cruise 🚢.
Do you think it could be enjoyed by a Solo Traveller like myself? Something that I feel would be really useful is you can get Disney Cruises From The Uk and you can get a very long one from the UK to Florida to visit the Disney Parks to avoid flying
Vastly expensive to do it that way. Better off doing a Disney cruise from Southampton and a Disney resort holiday in Paris. Neither would incorporate flying.

We appreciate your opinion but we have been on 18 Disney cruises 4 Royal Caribbean and 1 MSC. Carnival is known as the party ship and that is well known. Every cruise we have been on has so much to do ! You are new to cruising, with some advance planning and research you will really love it!
We look forward to doing another in the future, however we’ll be trying other cruise lines first!
You will love a Royal Carribean cruise. They are 1st class.
I loved The Ovation of the Seas. They had the best Queen tribute ever and possibly the closest ill get to the real thing.
You will love Royal Caribbean. I’m doing the repositioning cruise on Anthem in a few weeks. New York to Southampton

Great review so sorry you got unwell, as with all things you must try another ship! The Magic has wonderful dinning our food was outstanding with Animators and Another which is Tangled themed show during dinner, different on both visits it’s magical to do Disney if you have children Rupunzel danced with my daughter, our servers waited for our children by the door every night took their arms and escorted them to dinner the touches are amazing, made us all hats from our napkins, had tricks to entertain the children. Our experience with characters was so much better than the parks, small lines, taking time with the children and lovely to see them causally on deck to see them too. We have sailed many lines and done many cruises I’ve never seen my children happier they like it more than the parks!

Enjoyed the vlogs! It’s a shame about the food as the food on the magic was amazing and the shows are so good in the Rapunzel restaurant and Animators palate (different show to what you saw). Also the entertainment is brilliant in the adult area at night with the game shows. I would definitely try another ship!
If you think Castaway cay was good you need try this other private 🏝 still in the bahamas 🇧🇸 and it blows castaway cay out the water (literally) it callled a perfect day in CoCo Cay

Weve only done Tui Marella cruised but have our firsy Disney cruise coming up. My parents habe done tui marells and Royal Caribbean and actually preferred the Tui ship etc. I'd love to hear a review from you after about Royal Carribean and comparing it

Cheers for creating this 2nd Cruise series, have really enjoyed watching and look forward to more in future, thats fair enough to not film on the Honeymoon cruise, you are entitled to a rest and break from filming and creating vlogs, as you work both really hard to travel & create content for both channels. With the wedding, will you have someone filming it on your behalf & be editing it and uploading a vlog a.k.a highlights video & vlog? Would love to see that, is wedding going to be in a theme park? Or a church? Nice cruise company you are going with in the summer, hear good things about it aswell see adverts for it, looks interesting & nice. By the way, is there any plans on what type of Cruise you will do next? Would you do a P&O Cruise? From GB? Give reviews on that? By the way, think with this cruise they need more water slides onboard, especially with the one you rode was disappointing, short ride. Need something or a lot of slides that are rerideable. When you got off the ship in Mexico did you have any ice in a drink? because when I went to Mexico I had some ice in my cold drink and that made me ill.

I got food poisoning on my last cruise 5 years ago and have been hesitant to go again. This sure doesn’t help me want to do another!
ONLY $2K?! Most time I look it’s at least $2K per person for a Disney cruise! Way to snag a good deal!
I will say you need to try Royal Caribbean, it blows Carnival out of the water. Recently did Symphony of the Seas and it was amazing. Give it a whirl!
You didn’t notice the currency. £2057 not $
It was about £2300 / $3000 in total for a 5 nights 2 island non alcohol trip for two. Being from UK they probably had about another £1000 / $1300 outlay to get to the USA port and home.
@@juniperdog5523 I did, it's less than 200 of the US $. Point is, most Disney cruises are double that for two people.
@@robertgray1756 Right, that's all true, I'm just surprised they got a base price that cheap. Shaun did mention most options were 3K+ (Euro) later in the video, which lines up more with what I see of $2K (USD) per person as typically your cheapest price.
@@devdevthrills Recently read that the US average wage is $20k more than the UK's average wage. Thus' I can see that prices to the Americans seem more acceptable.
